Welcome to The Residence at Lighthouse Cove, Unit #252
Experience luxury coastal living just steps from the beach in this elegant two-bedroom, two-bathroom bayside retreat at the south end of Dewey Beach. Perfectly situated, this residence places you within easy walking distance of Dewey's vibrant restaurants, beach shops, and lively nightlife—making it the ideal setting to enjoy everything this energetic beach town has to offer.
Inside, the fully equipped kitchen showcases stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and ample space for entertaining. The open-concept living and dining area exudes comfort and style, featuring plush seating, a gas fireplace, and a flat-screen TV. A pull-out couch offers additional sleeping accommodations, while sliding glass doors open to a private balcony with serene views of Rehoboth Bay and the marina.
The primary bedroom includes a king-size bed and a private ensuite bathroom with double vanities. The second bedroom features a queen bed and access to a convenient Jack-and-Jill bathroom. For added comfort, the unit includes a full-size washer and dryer.
Residents enjoy an array of resort-style amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools (open seasonally), a landscaped rooftop plaza with a fire pit and water features, outdoor grilling areas, and a modern fitness center.
Two assigned parking spaces are provided in the secured garage (6'6” height clearance). Access cards are included for entry to the garage, elevators, amenities, and unit. Linens are not provided.
This is coastal luxury living at its finest—right in the heart of Dewey Beach.
Your reservation includes a nightly Damage Waiver fee (plus tax, if applicable), which covers accidental damage to the property or its contents—such as furniture, appliances, or fixtures—up to $3,000, as long as the incident is reported to the host before checkout. This fee replaces a traditional security deposit and offers additional peace of mind during your stay. Guests can choose to opt out of the Damage Waiver and instead provide a refundable security deposit if they prefer. The $249.99 processing fee is non-refundable if you need to cancel your reservation.

I want to issue some constructive criticism because I think the unit was generally nice, but the stay could be made better. (1) The washing machine has a slight leak and does not drain properly. A minor amount of laundry detergent could not be rinsed clean from the load. (2) Several of the doors are not properly hung, resulting in the doors drifting close. This is beyond annoying as you cannot leave a door open. The doors need service. (3) Speaking of the doors - how can there not be door stops in a rental? Thats an accident waiting to happen. (4) The toilets - jeez. How about investing less than 500 per toilet in some new American Standard Champion toilets, with soft close seats. The flush was sort of powerful but this is a small repair that would increase satisfaction. (5) The towel bar in the master shower was loose. Minor fix but must be done. (6) MOST IMPORTANT - the unit was not properly cleaned before our arrival. I cleaned it - there was still sand on the floors. The vacuum in the unit - the bag needs to be changed or the vacuum thrown out - its exhaust really smells. (7) The balcony door was hard to open/close and really needs maintenance (lubritcant). (8) The TVs - come on! Small RCAs?? Jeez - a 4k Samsung or LG cost less than 1k from Costco or Sam's Club. The connection to the TV was poor and the remotes were not working well. I did not come to Dewey to sit around and watch TV, but I also was way unimpressed in the AV set up.

Place was well appointed, the kitchen lacked in dishes, only 2 wine glasses, ice maker worked, ice dispenser did not, toilets were dirty, overall I would not go back

Poor Property Management

Great condominium both in size and cleanliness. Unfortunately poor property management. Pass keys did not work to enter the building on arrival and nobody was present in the office. The kindness of another resident allowed us to enter the building. The pass key did not allow access to the parking spaces. When we were able to meet with a property manager, we were told they would be able to resolve the issues three days later; the same day that we were checking out. Yes to the condo, no to the property management!

Great place and beautiful location.

Check-in was confusing. There are two room 252s… on for the condo and one for the Hyatt hotel. Need better clarity on that. Also, the property management company changed on April 1st. All of the information provided had old property management company information. Had trouble with card access to parking garage. Old property management company listed would not help me… new property management company does not have a number to call for questions/problems. The rental agency (REMAX) was helpful but the information for the property management company for Lighthouse Cove needs to be updated. The unit was very clean and nice. Location was great.

Great location , unit was a little sparse on cookware, had no iron or ironing board, we bought one and left it. The vacuum was worthless. Overall very happy with the property and our stay.

Clean and cute condo right next to Rusty Rudder. This was the perfect place for a girls getaway. Walking distance to the beach. Comfy beds and sparkling clean bathrooms.

Great location for a family!

We have stayed at the Residence complex several times, but this was our first time renting this unit. The reviews had previously indicated that the property was a mess, but that was not the case. Yes, the floors were dirty, but we purchased an inexpensive swiffer and cleaned (left at the unit for future renters). Also, the interior doors would not stay open, so they constantly closed, which was a pain in the master bathroom while getting ready. While the kitchen was not as equipped as homeowner-owned units, it had everything to cook basic meals. There was some noise from the unit above, but that is expected to be in a multi-level condo complex. All in all, there was great access to the beach/bay and the newly constructed Light House restaurant.

Good Place to Stay. Some Minor Issues.

Our stay at the property went very well. The location to the beach is excellent and there was plenty of space for 5 adults with a few children. The restaurants and nightlife were great. The cleanliness of the property was okay, however we noticed that off you didn't wear socks in the condo, the bottom of your feet would turn black. Seems like they have not mopped or cleaned the floors in a while. I reported a few issues at check-in, including the cleanliness of the floor, however the property manager didn't seem to care. They told me they would call me back to help address issues, but they never called me back. There was a lack of kitchen utensils we noticed and there were no cleaning supplies. We ended up buying a broom and a cutting board because there was none in the condo. We would stay again, we would just come more prepared.

Dewey Beach Summer Vacation

We chose this VRBO because it offered the best location for our families. The condo was sparse on kitchen accessories such as cooking utensils and offers 2 chairs on balcony for a 6 person rental. Also, bring your blankets and extra pillows. The Hyatt Place building is a maze and #’d parking spots inside garage is also a puzzle.

Disgusting floors

Would of been alot better if the bottoms of your feet didnt turn black walking around the condo and having to clean them before getting into bed . Was absolutely disgusting. Also found corn kernels, starbursts and old press on nails under tables and chairs. I understand your at the beach and sand is going to be a part of your experience but there was sand all over the condo. Lastly if your going to advertise sleeper sofa as additional sleeping accommodations, pick up the cushions and vacume it, pull out the bed, vacume it. Sleeper sofa looked like it hasn't been pulled out in a long time. Very dirty and sandy.

Beautiful condo...loved the unit!

We came with another couple for a long weekend birthday celebration. The condo was gorgeous, great amenities, well stocked kitchen, open layout, very clean and comfortable. We loved having a water view and being close to the beach and all Dewey has to offer. The Hyatt is a higher end building for sure, but very confusing to navigate. We had a family member rent a room in the hotel and had a very difficult time figuring out how to get her to our condo to spend time together; we finally realized she needed to leave the hotel building and come around and enter the condo wing through the garage. I know they are separate entities but there should be at least one simple way to connect. It would also be nice overall for the building if there was a loading zone near the entrance of each condo floor from the parking garage. We brought a lot of beach gear and groceries; it took quite a while to unload and then pack up walking back and forth from the unit to the assigned parking spaces. Overall, we had an incredible stay and the unit was everything we could have imagined and more. Being regular visitors renters Dewey, we weren't prepared for the logistics of the Hyatt building.
