Definitely a repeat

Everything about this stay was wonderful, Sandy and John were lovely hosts, the grounds and location absolutely beautiful and a "labor of love" clearly. Our pup was totally welcomed and we equally enjoyed being on the property on the screened in porch or outside grilling and visiting the area, neighboring towns and the vineyards. For a family of four this is great, or also a few groups of friends renting the cottages also would be nice. Thank you to Sandy and John and we will look forward to returning soon.

J & S Reeve cottages

Cottage was very clean the hosts John and Sandy were very accommodating. They suggested wineries and restaurants in the area, will definitely go there again

Comfy Cottage Getaway

I am so happy and grateful to have experienced such a welcoming and warm stay at J & S Reeve Cottages. They make you feel right at home and are very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and attractions nearby. They also were warm and friendly to our two dogs Bam and Chapo. Girls Wine Weekend

This was the perfect location for our girls trip. Adorable and comfortable cottage. We loved our evenings on the screened in porch chatting and sipping or wine picks from the day. Can’t wait to return - might even bring the husbands next time.

About a month before our stay we received a balance due. I had reserved the reservation 8 months prior to an event we were attending. I thought I had paid up front so I called the property manager. She told me they only rented property for a minimum 2 night stay and could not rent

A cute cottage is a queit neighborhood.

Something about Waterview just makes me feel at peace. If you feel the same way you will love this cottage. My husband went fishing 🎣 on the dock. Had a few nibbles but no bites. However he reminds me its called fishing not catching.

Wonderful cottage for short visit!

Went here with 3 girlfriends for a relaxing long weekend. The cottage was clean and the location is great. The grounds were spacious and beautiful. We really enjoyed the waterfront and just being able to relax! We didn’t use the equipment but the kayaks and paddle boards were easily accessible. The cottages are fairly “cozy” but was perfect for our group of 4. The kitchen could use some additional tools (sheet pan, newer knives, spatulas, cutting boards). Outside that, this was a great needed weekend away with my girlfriends and we’d definitely come back!

Perfect Location

We were in the North Fork to do some wine tasting and exploring. This cottage was in a perfect location for doing all of that. We loved the screen porch and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Beautiful location

Great cottage on amazing grounds! We loved the screened in porch. Sandy and john are great hosts. We also loved using the kayaks and checking out the bay.

Quaint Bayside Getaway

Our group of 7 rented two cottages, and we had a fantastic stay. Sandy and John are lovely people and every inch of the property is well-kept. I am a clean freak, and I can promise the bathrooms were very clean, and the kitchen is updated. We cooked every night, and all cookware you could need was available, including containers for leftovers. You don’t need your own sheets, the sheets in the house were perfectly clean. Guests are welcome to roam the garden with sky-high sunflowers, enjoy the kayaks and paddle boards, and cook on the grills provided to each cottage. One of the most helpful (and underrated) things: there is an ice machine on the property for everyone to use, which was massively helpful for coolers and ice for drinks! I’ll finish with a story to show how great Sandy and John are: we were making lobsters one night, and were pounding the claws with odd objects because we didn’t have the proper tools. John so kindly came out and gave us the proper lobster crackers! Fantastic people, clean/comfortable cottages, equipped with everything you could want while on a beach getaway.

Very cute cottages in a lovely waterfront setting. Property is perfectly maintained. Spent three nights and look forward to coming back.

Charming place

We were looking for a charming, clean place which was isolated, but also close to everything, and that is exactly what we found at J&S Reeve cottages. The place was just as it was described. The cottage was clean, neat and comfortable. The windows through the house provided a nice and relaxing breeze. We often enjoyed our morning coffee and lunch on the porch. The lawn was well maintained and there were flowering plants everywhere. We spent time lounging in the beautiful garden and by the bay. The owners were very nice, friendly, and helpful. They went above and beyond the duty to make their guests feel comfortable and at home. One morning we noticed that our car had a flat tire. Before we could do anything about it John the owner was already there with all needed equipment. He had the tire repaired in no time. We were touched and impressed with such an act of kindness and generosity. We recommend their place highly and we will be coming back.

Late Review for July 4 2014 review

My family and 3 close friends decided to stay in J and S reeves cottages to celebrate July4th holiday weekend. We were checking places near hamptons area but places were booked at that time. Stumbled on this listed property and i immediately called, luckily 1 cottage is vacant on those dates we wanted but we are not all going to fit since it has only 2 bedrooms and its going to be like 6 people with 1 dog. To my surprise, Sandy (the owner) tries to accommodate us by switching us over to the other cottage that has a pull out sofa (that way we all going to fit!). And actually gave us the waterfront cottage too! Sandy, we did enjoy our stay there although its just too short but boy we did had fun! Unlimited access to kayaks, paddle boards and canoe. Even my dog enjoyed the mini vacation there! Well-manicured resort, clean cottage, very private (thats why we all loved it!) The owners are very nice, approachable, very flexible in terms of arrival time. Definitely will come back and definitely will recommend to our friends.

Love Our Stays at this Sweet North Fork "Oasis"!

Sandy and Johnny's personal attention to their beautiful waterfront property with immaculate, colorful flower and vegetable gardens and especially to their guests -- including our city dog "Gussie"-- continue to make our annual visits from Washington, DC more than memorable. Great beaches, fresh farm markets, too many great food spots! visits to the vineyards, front row seats for stargazing! We rate this a 10 + on our vacation scale - a special retreat and respite from the hecticness and busyness of city work life. Do try it -- an especially sweet spot for dog lovers! Janet, Sally, Morgan..... and Gussie!

Wonderful! Didn't want to leave!

Just returned from a wonderful and much needed vacation at this lovely Aquebogue cottage vacation spot. Accommodations are clean, very well maintained, bed is comfortable and the owners are very helpful! John even installed a separate air conditioner for the bedroom so that my mother could close the door (to sleep well without my 2 dogs!) I was very grateful for that. The a/c that was in the cottage cooled the whole place well; just needed to close a door. Thank you again! Grounds are lovely, beautiful colorful flowers everywhere in bloom. Hammocks wonderfully relaxing and outdoor shower brought me back to childhood cabin rentals and summer camp! Pet friendly policy wonderful. We had the one bedroom cabin which was tight but entirely livable for close family! Waterfront location relaxing, swans funny, views serene. Recommend. Not for the fussy as it's simply furnished but definitely for those who would like to relax with their family and pets! Recommend!!
