Charming bay front house on private beach. Bright and clean two story house with an open floor plan and plenty of indoor/outdoor space to relax. Swim, fish, sail, kayak, and sunbath on your own sandy beach. Enjoy the 180 degree view of passing ships and dolphins from the fully enclosed sun room.

Located in the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge, this quiet community is away from the hustle and bustle of crowds and traffic. Enjoy the wildlife, star filled night sky, and wide open beach.

Only 2 1/2 hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC, and 20 - 30 minutes to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, Cape Henlopen State Park, ocean beaches, historic Lewes, Outlet shopping, restaurants, and amusements.

Sleeps 6 (or more with owner approval and additional fee) people on three full beds and two futons.

One Pet allowed with additional cleaning fee. Additional pets may be allowed with owner approval and additional fee.

Kitchen needs cooking utensils other than plastic. fence around the property need to be replaced to accommodate large dog such as my German Shepherd . If you make that happen I will return .

This is our second visit to the cottage this year and the place continues to exceed our expectations. Mike and Laura are accommodating hosts and very responsive to queries. The picture windows to the bay are the highlight of the house, offering unrestricted views to beautiful sunrises. A well-appointed house, there is room to relax, slow down and have a wonderful bonfire on the beach. Thanks for being great hosts!

Wonderful property very well maintained and appointed. We had a couple of stormy days and could still relax watching the ocean from the enclosed back porch.Very comfortable beds, nice quiet neighborhood, well equipped kitchen. Such a treat to just walk out the door to the beach!

Beach Relaxation

Very peaceful ride back to beach home. Check in was smooth and we wasted no time going to the beach which was easily accessible with a nice little path. The water, the sunrise, and quiet atmosphere was so relaxing. Folks in the community were so friendly.

Lovely beach getaway for families and dogs

This house is prettier than the photos, with breathtaking views of the Delaware Bay. The beach is literally outside your back door. Super clean, lots of space, modern appliances, well stocked kitchen, very well maintained property. Itā€™s a quiet neighborhood with super nice neighbors. We loved walking on the beach with our dog. The water is very shallow. Itā€™s right next to a nature preserve. Great restaurants are a short drive away. We especially liked Hacienda in Milford and Po Boys Cajun in Milton. Our son fished every day. Our daughter went for runs on the beach. It was fun to see a thriving population of piping plovers. Assateague Island is an easy day trip. We loved seeing the wild horses. The owners were super responsive and helpful. We were able to rent a tandem kayak and a beach wheelchair. Youā€™re not far from the Rehoboth boardwalk. There are great independent shops nearby, including Frantic Frets, where our musician daughter bought an amazing used banjo. Bring beach towels and a hairdryer. Everything else was provided. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

We loved everything about it! The house/property was amazing and everything provided (from fully functional kitchen, to beach toys to linens!). This is our 2nd time staying in this community and all the residents are always welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed rescuing Horseshoe Crabs every morning. The only things was we thought one room had a queen bed. Maybe some updates to descriptions and photos to to VRBO page :-) Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, and any feedback for us is welcome!

Book Club get Away

Our 5 members truly enjoyed the privacy of the beach and the large picture windows to gaze on the beach when it was too hot to be in the sun. The lower level was perfect for one of our members and for coming in and out from the beach. We appreciated two showers and toilets. The horseshoe crabs were a bit much at first, but we just got accustomed to them. We had a very relaxing, enjoyable week.

Great beachfront getaway

What a lovely house with beautiful panoramic windows and views of the bay and beach! The house was well-maintained and well-equipped for guests, with plenty of space for this family of four dog. (We loved the doggie designated towels.) The hosts were responsive and accommodating; their TLC for the house is apparent and appreciated. If given the opportunity, we will definitely come back.

We went back to this home because it works out perfectly for our family of 4. The fenced yard is great for the dog. Views and access of/to the beach are perfect. Clean and comfy. See you next year!!!

October Beach Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beach. The large sunroom looking out over the beach was a perfect place to sit and enjoy watching the waves and shore birds. The easy access to the beach made walks on the beach appealing. We would definitely return for another beach getaway!

Lovely, quiet getaway

We loved the remoteness and solitude of this place. The house was very clean (no dust or musty/moldy smells), the kitchen was nicely appointed, and it was nice to have linens and towels provided! We felt like we had the entire to beach to ourselves, though the crabs definitely ruled the roost! The owners provided all the necessary info via messages and a binder, and were very pleasant in communications. Watching the sunrise each morning from the enclosed porch was a highlight. You couldn't get any closer to the ocean! There is a nice selection of books, DVDS, games and puzzles (our puzzle was missing 3 pieces, bummer). The beds were comfortable, the living room futon was not. The bathroom is quite small and doesn't afford much privacy. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would book this house again.

Great water views

We really enjoyed the sunrises and water views with our coffee each morning. Easy access to beach, bicely furnished kitchen. The only complaint was the hardness of the mattresses.

Wonderful Again!

It was our 3rd stay at this wonderful house. We can't wait to come back again! The house is perfect for us! It's clean & well maintained. The owner is very responsive. We love the quiet location. We just wanted to relax, enjoy the beach and catch a breath from life. And that's exactly what we did! So many great memories here! Thank you for another wonderful week at the beach!

Private beach

My wife and I and our three girls stayed here for a week and it was great! Everything was clean, the house was cool when we arrived and the air worked great. So fun being right on the beach. We brought our kayaks and paddle boards and used them almost everyday. The girls had a blast looking for hermit crabs during low tide. We spent hours and hours and hours on the beach, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Most days, on the beach youā€™d have to walk over 100 yards to get to the next person. A lot of the time it seemed you had the beach all to yourself.

Had a great stay here! Clean plus the kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking. Loved that we were so close to the beach and the shower downstairs was very convenient. A few minor notes: if you have small kids who only take baths, you will want to take an inflatable pool to bathe your kids since there are only 2 showers. Also, for large groups like ours, fyi there is only one bathroom upstairs (all bedrooms are upstairs) and the other bathroom is downstairs. Also, like many people have commented, there are lots of (mostly dead) horseshoe crabs on the beach (at least when we went) and it wasnā€™t an issue for us, but best to google if youā€™re unsureā€¦

Family weekend

great view from porch, enjoyed walking on the bay beach watching the birds in the morning. Went to Cape Henlopen for part of the day to walk by the ocean and then into Rehobeth. Nice to come back to the home and bay views in the afternoon.

Family Vacation

The house was very clean and nicely appointed. Bathrooms were interesting. Upstairs was very small but also very cute. Downstairs didn't afford any privacy given the 3 stalls. We probably won't do this area again given the huge number of horse crabs!
