disappointing

photos listed on vrbo are not listed of the current conditions,garage not usable, full of building materials,back yard is a MESS, grill is filthy, lanai is dirty,problems with toilet in one bathroom (hisses all night)lock not fixed on front door when we arrived, ice maker completely clogged,dont know when this place was last used, no reviews in 9 months.Location is good to stores and beach,quiet neighborhood.

Disappointing Experience

We have rented many Vrbo in USA Canada & England This is our first negative review On check in the house was dirty & porch filthy The owners did clean but it was 5 hours before we could settle in Two days later the owner poorly cleaned the filthy porch so we took 6 hr to clean it Nice kitchen was poorly stocked Tayna did provide necessary items The house is fine comfortable and neighborhood nice Shopping is 1/2 mile Our rental was from 2/1-3/31 We found it necessary to depart on 3/12 Vrbo& Tayna were notified and I received acknowledgment from Tayna . She had agreed with Vrbo to refund us if any of our remaining dates were booked The calendar booking onVrbo was not available until 3/19 On this date a forged change was made to my account The new dates were 2/1-3/19 We left on 3/12 Also the daily fee was increased by 43.30 We were not looking for a refund just courtesy & honesty respect and decency Jean

Wonderful location

House was comfortable. The bedroom configuration was a little goofy but it worked for us. The kitchen supplies were a little lacking. No baking sheets, and the glasses were a hodge podge so we bought 4 glasses to use in the house. All in all it was a good place for us

Great stay and location

We had a great experience with this listing. The location is top notch - close right up to siesta beach and filled with nearby attractions. The house itself was very high-ranking, with lots of accommodations and clean spaces that made it feel cozy and welcoming. Whenever we needed something, we reached out to the host and she responded immediately, providing helpful recommendations and assistance to enhance our stay. Fantastic listing and a very providing host. Highly recommend!

Not quite what we expected

Our group of 12 (8 adults, 4 kids) stayed here Aug 7-12. Prior to making our reservation I reached out to the host to make sure they could accommodate all 12 of us. They indicated we could, so we went ahead and booked. We were hoping to check in early but that did not work out. In fact, at 3:30 (check-in was 4) the host reached out and said it would probably be 5 before we could get in because the previous renters had left such a mess. We were finally able to get in at 4:30. Since our reservation was for 12, we assumed they could accommodate 12. There were only 5 beach towels, so we took bath towels to the beach. This meant, we would not have enough towels to shower with once we returned. There were zero wash cloths or dish cloths in the house. Also, there were zero linens for the double and twin air mattresses. I had to reach out to the host for those. Even though the house was not large, one of the bedrooms was very warm…I’m guessing it’s a vent issue. We had issues with the dishwasher not working. The host did come over to look at it. For it to work, the disposal had to be unplugged…a nuisance but at least the dishwasher worked. Some other things to note: The only extra toilet paper was partial rolls. We started running out by our third day since there were 12 of us. Rather than continue to bother the hosts, we opted to buy our own. Also, even though bikes were listed as an amenity not all of them were serviceable. The screened in porch furniture was worn and did not appear to have been recently cleaned. The location worked well for us. It was about 10 minutes to Siesta Key Beach. Shopping and dining was nearby too. If your group is 8 or less, I would consider this house. For larger groups, I would consider staying elsewhere.

Excellent location!

We really enjoy our time staying in this quite neighborhood, 10 minutes driving to Siesta Key and 20 minutes to Lido key. Communication and attention received from Tayna is excellent, she is super responsive and nice accommodating to our needs. The umbrella and chairs are dirty and rusty but still usable, of course better than nothing, so we appreciated those . I believe description of the property is wrong, it has room #1 with a King, room #2 with two queens and one inflatable mattress, sunroom #3 has only one queen and not two bed as vrbo stated, also there is no 4 room, there is a closet with one twin bed but no air conditioning or windows so nobody can sleep there.

Perfect location

This is the first time staying here and we enjoyed it. It is literally 3 miles from the beautiful white sandy beach. You don't have to deal with all the beach crowd. It is closer to everything. Less than a mile from everything you need (Restaurants, grocery store, shopping mall, and so on). The house is perfect space. Extra mattress if needed. Two things that we did not like was that the cleaning company did not stock the washcloth. Only three washcloth was available but many towels. Also the ceiling fan was not cleaned. Other than that, this was a spacious, and welcoming home. We will definitely stay there again.

Relaxing stay in a nice spacious house!

The house is spacious and comfortable with all the amenities. It’s well maintained and is a pleasure to stay at. It’s perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood just 10 min from a gorgeous public beach with soft white sand. It’s also very close to many highly rated restaurants out of which we tried Clayton’s Siesta Grille, Apollonia Grill, and Longhorn Steakhouse, and all three were delicious. Supermarket is also just a 3 min away. The owners were responsive and helpful. We watched sunset at Turtle Beach thanks to their advice. Overall we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the place!

FABULOUS VRBO HOUSE!

This house is incredible! It had so many extras like bikes, helmets, outdoor furniture, beach towels/chairs/umbrella and just about anything you would need in the kitchen! 3 women traveling and we each had our own bedroom/bathroom! tv had premium channels , it was a great location to beach, downtown, main roads...house was impeccably clean...and the host was easy to connect with...one of the best i have ever stayed in..HIGHLY RECOMMEND...

Wonderful stay 2/14-2/18/22

My husband and I have a wonderful time at Tanya’s place. The place was spacious and very cleaned (sheets, towels..). Very nice and quiet neighborhood.. it’s close to Siesta Key beach with plenty restaurants around. Tanya gave us a head up about the access to her place before our arrival. Everything went smoothly and a lot personal touch at her place so it made us feel at home. We definitely come back to Tanya’s place again if we are in Sarasota. Minutes to The Beach and Grocery Store!

Excellent stay was had by everyone! Elsie the canine enjoyed chasing the lizards and squirrels in the backyard! Beautiful kitchen! We cooked on the gas grill several nights and enjoyed many dinners at nearby restaurants. Would love to stay again!

House was very spacious.

We appreciated all the essentials being provided, and owners were quick to respond to texts. Bedrooms were a good size and 2 1/2 baths great for this family of 5. Located near restaurants and shops and not too far from trader Joe’s. Siesta key beach was close too. Neighbourhood was quiet and friendly, and we enjoyed the use of the bikes provided. Gulf Gate for the holidays!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was spacious and we also enjoyed relaxing on the large screened in porch/lanai. Tanya was responsive and easy to get in touch with for the few questions we had. A nice location and convenient to restaurants and our family in Palmer Ranch.

Our stay at Tayna's house was amazing, the house is spacious and was spotless upon our arrival. There is a lovely sized screened in Lanai with plenty of seating PLUS a nice sized back yard. It's very private, and on a lovely quiet street. The beds were lovely and comfortable, and the shower in the double room was amazing. It's definitely is close to everything, you can walk to numerous bars (just know a lot of them do not serve food). There is Publix and a large mall very closely, walking distance if you want to do some casual shopping. We were able to walk into Siesta Key (about a 40-45 minute walk), but once you reach Midnight Pass, you can take the free trolley into Siesta Key village. The house had everything you could possibly need. We loved it so much we've already booked it again for next year. thank you Tayna for a wonderful stay.

Modern conveniences in a clean, comfortable setting, close to everything.

Everything was as pictured, there were no surprises. Tayna was helpful through the process and very responsive when we had one small issue with the T.V. Everything you could need or want is available in the house. This is a very comfortable house for 6 people but could easily sleep a few more. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. While this house is not on the beach, it is close enough. I loved that beach chairs, towels and even a cooler were supplied. I felt like we really got our money's worth, especially in comparison to a hotel. If we return to this area, I would stay at this property again.
