Rana Suite (Sleeps 2). Queen bed and Mayan decorations that make you feel you are right in the middle of Mexico while enjoying the luxuries of a relaxing vacation. The room opens to the pool, garden and BBQ area. It offers a private bathroom,AC, wifi, private lock, and private entrance, mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. It is the perfect place to relax and within walking distance to the beach and great restaurants.

La Hacienda provides a unique Mexican get-away, located one mile from downtown and the most popular beach, Playa Norte. Enjoy the luscious tropical garden and pool. Most people get around via bicycles, taxis or golf carts. The house is located at the beginning of the safe and charming neighborhood, Salina Chica, where you will find restaurants, tennis court, basketball court, and grocery stores with fresh fruits and vegetables, all within walking distance. You can catch a taxi right in front of the house to go downtown and to the beach. The house is very private, yet just a 5 minute taxi ride from downtown where you will find all the shops, restaurants, bars and live music.

This property was amazing. We loved the privacy, yet close proximity to all of the local and touristy places. The pool was so relaxing and nice to come home to after being at the beach all day. We will for sure be back sooner rather than later.

The Perfect Bungalow

My stay at Karenā€™s home was nothing short of perfect. The space is so welcoming and clean and just really feels like home. The location is on a Main Street but once youā€™re through the gates, youā€™d have no idea. I couldā€™ve spent a whole day just relaxing by her pool area! Karen was so helpful in providing suggestions for my time on the island and was so kind. You really canā€™t go wrong staying here!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Karen's place in Isla Mujeres. We drank our room-made coffee in the mornings as we sat around the little swimming pool and caught up on our readings. Our host Karen was very helpful with suggestions about transportation to the island, restaurants, and other key island information. And she responded instantly to our questions. She had to be away for a family matter for most of our trip but her friend Molly made sure that we had everything we needed. And we enjoyed Karen's three dogs -- Bailey being our favourite.

Perfection

We absolutely loved our stay. It was comfortable, and proximity was perfect. We took cabs the first day then decided on renting a golf cart. Karen has her recommendations in the book which is super helpful. We went with Cirros. Great prices. Karen is AMAZING and very quick to answer any and all questions. The pool was a bonus that we did enjoy! The property is very safe and is locked by you as you come and go. I especially enjoyed my coffee (GREAT COFFEE) up on the roof in the mornings. I urge you to go to the the grocery store and get some breads and anything you need. Even souvenirs. Thanks to Karen a super host!

La Hacienda is a great place to stay for a few days or like us 3 weeks. Karen is absolutely amazing. She will give you tons of pointers and is always there when you need somthing. A wonderful host. Enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our nine nights at Casa Hacienda. Karen and her pups were very welcoming. It was nice to drink our morning coffee by the pool. And wait for her girls to come say good morning. We were within walking distance of several places to eat. We took a taxi to town daily. And never had to wait long for one to come by. Karenā€™s place is simple, affordable and it met all our needs.

Slice of Paradise

The property was just as it was advertised. Karen was a fabulous host. Because of her recommendations, we ate very well and spent many days on some amazing beaches. We even rode her free bikes one day. Big grocery store within walking distance, good restaurants nearby and a super fun atmosphere of dining, music and shops on this main corridor thru downtown. We ended up renting a golf cart about our 3rd day, and we kind of wish we'd done if from the start. All in all, very relaxing week. Thanks Karen!

Great spot!

La Hacienda was a great spot for our 4 night stay on Isla. Playa Norte has a lot going on so getting a bit away was ideal. Itā€™s a short bike ride and having free bikes to use was a huge bonus. The pool was clean and refreshing.

Wonderful experience

Came in on a Thursday and Karen greeted us with her wonderful dogs and gave us all kinds of information about the room, area, recommendations, and just made our visit to the Isla wonderful. She was quick to respond and exceptionally accommodating (we caught rain on the morning of our check-out with a late flight and offered to hold our bags until later, even able to give us a couple extra hours since we werenā€™t prepared for rain). The location is central with a 100 peso taxi ride anywhere on the Isla, very easy to get a taxi on the street. Great local spots to grab food when the restaurants are closed (donā€™t be hesitant to try the little house restaurants, the food is aMAzing). Will definitely return!

Quick getaway spot at a great rate

Nice 1 week vacation to Isla with family and friends. Nice little spot to spend some freshening up time and to crash for the nights. I Would have stayed longer but had a commitment in the states. Adult getaway to Isla

La Hacienda by Karen was the cutest, quaintest, neatest little place. Nice little private pool and rooftop area to also lounge around at. Karen was very helpful and was a pleasure to stay with. Her place was centrally located as well. Would stay with at her place again and would recommend.

Comfortable Quiet Oasis

After spending a day at the beach its great to open the gate at this property and walk back to your room and enjoy the oasis of Karenā€™s pool area. Karen is always available if you have any questions about activities or restaurants etc. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and will be back to this property.

Nice for a short stay

We stayed 2 nights in Isla and this B&B worked well for us. Nothing fancy, which is totally fine by us, but I felt it was pretty pricy for what you get. I didn't personally see Karen but she was kind and helpful though messages and accommodated our late- night check in which was very nice! Felt safe and quaint. Thank you!

I am a graduate of Texas A&M University and St. Edwards University. I was a therapist for children in foster care, owner of grocery stores for low income women, and flipped houses. I've always been an entrepreneur and was excited about a new challenge.

My first remarkable visit to Isla Mujeres was 25 years ago and I fell in love with the magic of the Island of Women. Relaxation washed over me as I stepped onto the ferry transporting me to this Caribbean paradise. I knew immediately that one day this island, that is steeped in a rich Mexican culture, would become my home. After many years, research and visits, in November 2016, I discovered the perfect home in the colonia Salina Chica. I knew La Hacienda would make a lovely beautique hotel, offering serenity and privacy for my guests along with space for me and my 2 standard poodles to live. I fell in love as soon as I walked in the front door. The same feeling I had on the first ferry ride 25 years ago.
