The accommodation is in the absolute best possible location. It’s close to Soustons (which we love) and well connected to the motorway. It’s so peaceful and quiet; the absolute best bit is sitting outside by the pool and listening to the wildlife. I used the Merlin app on my phone and got so many birds! There are owls at night and deer in the fields. There are two super oak trees by the entrance so it makes the location so immersed in nature thus relaxing.The property has been renovated to an extremely high standard and is very spacious. The kitchen was stocked with essentials and a thoughtful local cake. The owners are next door but are totally unobtrusive and there is good privacy. The pool is welcoming to lounge in and read a book on a hot sunny day and faces the morning / midday sun. There is a ping pong table which we enjoyed playing on. We know the area very well already but top visits are the Soustons market on a Monday and dinner by the lake at L’auberge de la pointe where we had a superb meal. We took our surfboards so you’re spoilt for choice surfing along the coastline. For day trips we like Villa Arnaga at Cambo-Les-Bains, Hossegor, Biarritz, Mont de Marsan and San Sebastián. The L’eclerc in Soustons is a good big supermarket about 8 mins away. The only minor point if picky is that the en-suite doesn’t have an extract fan or external window so the bathroom and subsequent bedroom can get a bit smelly/stale.We had a superb time and will definitely come back.
