Quiet North Shore Beachfront Home

This beachfront home is located in a quiet family neighborhood. Party animals, please look elsewhere! We are well off the main road with very little traffic making it a great place to take walks or go jogging. We are situated on a long white sand beach ideal for beachcombing or relaxing the day away. The house has a large oceanfront grass yard and is completely fenced, so that kids can play. The garage has a full-sized ping pong table and foosball table for you to enjoy. This spacious two story house offers spectacular ocean vistas and stunning mountain views from just about every window. Cool trade winds and sounds of the surf will lull you to sleep each night. The main floor of the house has a pool room, full kitchen, laundry room, large oceanfront dining room that opens up to the outside eating area, living room with high ceilings, three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The second story is a very spacious room opening up onto a large covered outdoor lanai overlooking the ocean.


Policies: We have a policy of no more than 10 people on the property at all times and do not rent for any large parties such as weddings, graduations, etc... Our rate is based on 8 guests - additional guests up to10 max $35/night.

We (3 couples) just had the most amazing, once-in-a-lifetime one week vacation at this place. The house was super clean, comfortable, and sits on an amazing spot on the beach.The house was stocked with everything we needed to enjoy the beach, the kitchen was very well stocked with any pots and pans, bowls, and utensils we needed to prepare a meal (including a grill), and the linens on the bed were of high quality to ensure a good night sleep. My husband and I chose to sleep in the bedroom upstairs, and we opted to turn off the mini-split A/C unit and open the windows and sliding door. We were very quickly pulled to sleep every night by the sound of the waves hitting the shore. We didn’t have to worry about it getting hot because of the breezes coming from the ocean, which are met by the cool air coming down from the mountains in front of the house.We saw a monk seal that came ashore just 70 yards down the beach from us, where he stayed for a good long nap before returning to the water, and we saw turtles every day in the water along the beach. These sightings just added to the already amazing experience of our vacation.The hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly and very quick to respond to any of our questions. If I had to describe this place with one word, it would be “Paradise.”

The house was beautiful, well equipped, and served our family very well. We actually only had my husband and myself, my son and his wife, their three children and an adult granddaughter that were able to come it would have been a little uncomfortable sleeping conditions if our daughter and her husband had been able to join us. The extras of boggy boards and snorkeling was great. Just as a small warning to you Tim on two nights our son killed one cockroach. They were dismayed, but I realize bugs are part of the Hawaiian experience. Personally I found the house very clean and bug free. Having had children that lived in Hawaii we caucously kept foo in the refrigerator or containers. Just wanted to alert you to the possible cockroach problem so you can mitigate it. One of the best parts for my husband and I was sitting on the bench overlooking the ocean at sunset watching the waves and the sun setting. A great North Shore experience. In addition we felt very safe in this beautiful neighborhood.

Great vacation

We had a wonderful time staying at this ocean front home. We loved how many games the owners had available for quality family time in the yard and on the beach. The homes layout worked perfectly for our family. North shore is by far our favorite part of the island and everything we chose to do was so close to the house. We had turtles out front all the time, whales swam by one day and we got to watch a lot of sky divers and some surfers. Wish I was still there sitting in my beach chair!

MAGICAL

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hibiscus house on the stunning North Shore, where incredible waves, deep, soft sand, daily sea turtle visits, and gorgeous sunny views blessed our family as we enjoyed the incredible private beach and backyard, and spread out in a house that was spacious, clean, with simple yet festive decor and plenty of room for our family of seven. The beach supplies (boogie boards, water shoes, snorkels and masks, lawn chairs and towels) were so appreciated, as well as the pool table and well-equipped kitchen. We did not want to leave, and hope to return as soon as possible to this slice of heaven on earth. God’s creation of an island Paradise to connect with nature and each other.:) Huge mahalo to Maggie and Tim! Aloha

Fun with Family

What a wonderful home! We had an awesome stay with our family, there were 8 adults, the house was large enough that everyone had their own space, we put the adult kids upstairs, we called it their private getaway, no one ever got in anyone's way, the pool table was a great bonus as one family member is an excellent pool player and we spent many hours trying to beat him. We used the BBQ, which was very clean, the beach accessories which came in very handy on the beautiful beaches we visited. We would definitely book this house again, the owners had great communication, and we will miss the beach bench as that was the highlight of our stay, morning tea and coffee and evening cocktails.

Best two weeks!!

We loved our time on the North Shore!! The house was perfect. We had plenty of space and loved the quiet location. The home was comfortable and well maintained. Tim and Maggie were so kind and quick to communicate. Like every other review, turns out our favorite spot was the bench! Someone was always on it enjoying the sunrise, sunset, or just watching the turtles that were there swimming right at the shore daily. We would recommend and return!

Perfect Beach House

We’ve stayed at several homes on the north shore and this property is by far the best. Very clean, spacious, everything you need is onsite. Perfect beach! Highly recommend!

Great house, great location

Loved the location, the north shore is a hidden gem on the island. You are away from people but can be in the city in no time if you choose. We loved the beach right outside your house!

Beach House

We loved staying at the house! Felt like home and we enjoyed every moment there. Everything we needed was provided for. The beach off the backyard was the best part about the house. It’s very relaxing and peaceful. We hated to leave. Thank you for letting us stay!

Hawaii vacation of 10

We had the most wonderful time. The view of the ocean was incredible. Family of 4 slept upstairs in the loft room with balcony. Even better than advertised! We saw whales, turtles, and seals. We snorkeled as much as we could to the right of the house and saw many different colorful fish. The bench seat was a great place to enjoy the sunsets and sunrises. Absolutely stunning!

wonderful place

A group of 8 friends stayed here for a week. it was the best choice we could have made. the house is located in a beautiful and quiet place. the house is equipped with everything you might need, the hosts are very nice and helpful. everything made our stay very pleasant to remember. Truly Paradise

This property was everything the description said and more! There were 8 of us in our party for 2 weeks over the Christmas holiday!! We loved every minute of our stay from the moment we got here until we left!! The owners even decorated the house and had a Christmas tree!!! They were extremely flexible and communicative with us!! We planned so many things throughout our days, but it was nice to then come back to the house to relaxing by the beach and take advantage of all of the activities at the house. Some of our favorite moments were ping pong, pool and domino tournaments at night! Thank you so much to the owners for making our first holiday family vacation one full of memories that we will never forget!!!

Hawaii Heaven

Lovely well maintained home right on the beach. Everything you need is there. The key to the door is quite difficult to use, don’t give up! We boogie boarded, snorkeled, played pool and ping pong. We can’t wait to return!

Absolutely amazing!

Everything about this stay was absolutely perfect. The house was lovely, the location was perfect, and my family spent countless hours on the bench facing the beach searching for sea turtles and watching the waves and surfers. The home has so many amenities and is well stocked. You just need to come and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii. Maggie and Tim have truly created a welcoming home. Highly recommend!!!

Simply the best!

We stayed for 2 weeks in early July, 2023, with family who all came together from different locations. Our stay at the home was truly magical. The home and grounds are very well maintained and the ocean view is stunning! The home is well appointed and we really enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table. The extra fridge in the garage was great to store drinks and extra food since there were 8 of us. The area is beautiful on a low traffic, quiet road. It felt very private - our own sanctuary! And the gated yard was nice too. We loved watching the turtles, flying fish, and occasional seal, from the backyard raised bench and the upper deck. And you cannot beat the view of the stars at night. The location on north shore was great! Waikiki is only an hour’s drive away, and there is a lot to do on north shore too. We enjoyed the new Mauku Warriors Luau, two Hawaii glass bottom boat tours (highly recommended - even saw spinner dolphins on one), and lots of time in Haleiwa. The homeowners are great communicators and super responsive. Wonderful people! The worst part about this trip was having to leave! Do not hesitate to book this home - you’ll be glad you did!

Loved our stay at the Hibiscus House!

We couldn’t have imagined a better experience. The house had every amenity you could ever need, and the beach location was amazing. Our hosts were responsive to the couple of questions we had. This house was perfect for our family. We highly recommend the accommodations.

Hibiscus House

Loved the beach outside the house. Amenities galore with pool table, ping pong , snorkeling , fishing, towels, chairs, two refrigerators, air conditionig, coolers for travel. Hosts were extremely hospitable. Great house

North Shore Magic

We have rented several homes and this one was by far the best. It is very clean and well appointed. Even all the 'extra' amenities were in great shape (often a rarity with rentals). Lots of snorkel sets, water shoes, beach chairs etc. It accommodated a group of 9 (7 adults and 2 kids) really well - we all had plenty of space and things to do! We loved sitting on the bench watching the surfers and spotting whales and walking the beach to visit turtles and take a dip! The beds were super comfy and we loved listening to the waves at night. One of the best parts of this house is the location. It is part of a chill beach community and super close to Haleiwa and North Shore beaches. We loved visiting the Waialua Sugar Mill and nearby restaurants/food trucks. We hope to be able to return one day!!

Peaceful Paradise

This property was perfect for our family of 5 adults and teens. We found it thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the ocean and hearing the waves from inside the house. The beach is secluded and beautiful. We didnt swim right out from the house very much because we were there in winter when the water isnt as calm, but we enjoyed sitting on the bench in the yard every morning to drink our coffee and watch the surfers and the turtle that swam by daily. The neighborhood and closeby area is very safe and quiet and there are numerous scenic hikes closeby which we loved. We also loved Haleiwa town and ate dinner there often. It has a good grocery store and lots of restaurants and surf shops and it wasnt crowded, very laid back. Everyone we encountered was super friendly. We will be returning to this house for sure the next time we visit Oahu!

Absolutely Amazing!

The home and location are wonderful! The home was supplied with so many activities for both inside and outside activities (most I’ve ever seen including household items such as towels, soaps, condiments, etc…). Looking for a beach that feels like it’s just you, this is it! At any given time, it felt like we had the beach to ourselves and enjoyed watching the surf, the surfers, relaxing on the beach, and swimming/playing in the water. The beach is literally right outside the back door and the front of the house has amazing views too. We even bought fresh fruit from some of the neighbors fruit stands along the entry road = awesome! A long story short… we loved everything about it (location, home itself, and everything you can do in and around the area) and will look to stay there again for another visit!

Absolutely Amazing!! A+++ rating! Would Stay Again!

Our stay from start to finish was so perfect! Owners are so easy and great to communicate with. They really try to ensure you are enjoying your stay. The house is very nice and comfortable. We loved all the extra games/toys! In our opinion, you cannot beat the location! It is away from all the craziness of the city, but still an ok drive to get to whatever you're in search of. Waves are bigger this time of year, so was fun to see some surfers out there in the ocean every morning. Even saw some turtles too! Kids loved playing on the beach, and we really enjoyed our evening walks up and down the beach. House has everything you need. 100% will re-book this property when we decide to return!

Best location!

My family enjoyed this house and its accommodations and amenities so much! The location was perfect. We sat watching the ocean and surfers many many times during our long stay. Everything we needed was in the home, and there were supples galore; snorkel equipment, boogie boards, sand toys, dart game, ping pong, pool table, and more. We had so much fun chilling at the house when we weren't exploring the island. Maggie was amazing! This trip was supposed to be in 2020 but Covid changed that. We ended up moving the trip twice and Maggie was so gracious in allowing us to move our dates to accommodate our concerns and schedule changes. Communication was great and when we venture back to the island (hopefully in the next couple years!) we will definitely see if the Hibiscus House is available. We loved the peacefulness of the area and watching the surfers was great entertainment. Thank you, Maggie!

North Shore Home

Tim & Maggie are amazing host. The home is big that everyone in our family was comfortable. Your family won’t get bored with all the fun games, water toys and snorkeling gears they have for everyone. Kitchen is well equipped and the view from the kitchen window is just awesome.
