HALE KAI IS A PERFECT PLACE TO ENJOY YOUR VACATION WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Old Hawaiian Charm, spacious three bedroom, two bath beachfront home. This gem is located on a large half acre lot on Papailoa Road, one of North Shore's most exclusive neighborhoods. This gated home comes with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room area and two full bathrooms.

Three bedrooms will sleep up to six people. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a view of the ocean. Both guest bedrooms have two twin beds. The dining room leads out to a large redwood lanai where guests can enjoy spectacular sunsets and gorgeous views of Laniakea Surf.
This home also offers wireless internet service. Conveniently located near historic Haleiwa Town, you'll be close to restaurants, markets, art galleries, gift shops and much more!

The beach is the luxury item here...we saw so much SEALIFE right outside our back door!! The house comfortably fit our family. This time of yr is busy busy so expext traffic in and out of the neighborhood.

We absolutely loved our time here! The location is fantastic, and the property is exactly as pictured—no surprises. The real highlight is the incredible view; it's truly breathtaking and we spent so much time just enjoying it.The home is comfortable and cozy. As the pictures show, it's not a luxury rental, but that was perfectly clear and absolutely fine with us. It was exactly what we needed for a great trip. Highly recommend!

Perfect family gathering

My sons and partners enjoyed easy beach and surf access, cooking meals together, relaxing in the beautiful communal areas and yard. Lovely place!

Amazing views! Nice home. Didn’t have any issues with anything. They pretty much have everything you need. We loved our stay (one week). I would probably just get a new cleaning crew. I used to own a cleaning company and those showers just need a real good cleaner, windows and door rails also need a good cleaning but other than that no complains. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Neighborhood and View

House was in a great location and quiet neighborhood. Staying right on the beach was amazing. Check in process was easy and when we arrived it felt like a home away from home. My family and I made so many wonderful memories. Would come back again.

This house was PERFECT!! The 3 rooms-two bath made it just right for our group. Being able to sit on the deck and watch everyone swim and so relaxing. Location was a great central location for all the activities we did. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Honolulu!

As I am getting older I am having trouble with it!Also, there is no smoke detector. There is a plate on kitchen ceiling, but the detector is missing! Family vacation

Place was just like the pictures showed. Steps lead down to beach but it is rocky however just a few houses down either direction makes for good beach areas. Not crowded at all. We went in the water every day. Was so convenient. Not a lot of air flow in the 2 kids bedrooms but the master was good. Kids ended up sleeping in the living room and kept all their stuff in the bedrooms. Would stay here again.

Our family vacation

Everything was great, except the pictures on the listing for the beach right outside the backdoor is not what you get, pics on listing need updating so people know what they're actually getting. Terribly disappointed there was nothing but rocks, that was one of the reasons why I booked the property because of the sandy beach right outside your backdoor as the pics showed.

I can’t even begin to list all of the beautiful memories our family made during our 2-week stay at Hale Kai. The house was clean, ideally located on a beautiful stretch of beach, private and comfortable. We highly recommend checking out all of the delicious pastries at PaaLaa Kai Bakery in Waialua, any burger at Seven Brother’s Burgers and breakfast bombers at Kono’s in Hale’iwa. For excursions, we highly recommend locally owned and operated Haleiwa’s Shark Tours and any extracurricular activity at Kualoa Ranch. We’ll be back! Mahalo!

Beautiful Beach/Ocean View; House needs a serious revamp

Positives - Beach/ocean view & access was excellent; water pressure very good; all appliances/tvs were relatively new & great working order. Large front yard; good size deck (in good order); great access to the ocean front. Close to North Shore attractions. Improvements needed - the pictures in VRBO do not reflect the state of dilapidation of this property. If you are crashing in order to surf etc - it is fine; but it is not particularly clean; is in disrepair; and pretty depressing to stay in this abode. 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each; 1 king (lumpy). Threadbare floors; bathrooms need major upgrade. For the price, we expected more - with exception of view.

INCREDIBLE!!

We LOVED our stay at this beach house. Location, location, location!! The views, the easy beach access, the privacy, the convenience of being close to Haleiwa and to a well-stocked grocery store in the other direction...And did I mention the absolutely stunning views from the kitchen, dining area, living room, and master bedroom?We even had visits on the beach by sea turtles and also could often see them swimming just off shore.The house itself was spacious enough for the 6 adults in our group, and while it may be lacking some modern updates it was very comfortable and well equipped. (Well stocked with kitchen utensils, etc. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water.) The lack of air conditioning was not an issue at all - between the ocean breezes and the many fans that were provided we were quite comfortable. The house is located on a quiet street off the main, busy road and we had no noise or safety concerns. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hale Kai! And did I mention the incredible views?

The house was not at all as pictured. It had so much mold in the bathrooms and house had cockroach

House is not as pictured. Dirty , very dated and worn out. Broken things everywhere. Mold and cockroaches . Carpets stained and worn to almost having holes. Bedroom Not even finished being cleaned. We did not even stay we went to turtle bay and stayed there. Rental company agreed with conditions of the house but did nothing to remedy things! Big disappointment. I do not recommend this house unless this style of accommodations is what you prefer

Perfect location / lacked a bit on cleanliness

The location of this property makes it so special! Right on the beach with private beach access. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Plenty of glasses and plates, silverware, etc. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels. On another note, there were a few things that could be improved. The showers were pretty gross. One of the fans was really rusty and grimy. The kitchen supplies (frying pans), were really scratched up and didn't feel safe to cook with. I think it would have been a good idea for there to have been some cleaning supplies provided, but there wasn't anything except raid which came in handy for the cockroaches (which I realize are a problem on the islands). Sorry to be so mean. We still had a great time, just worked around the negatives.

Excellent location on North Shore

The beach it sits on is very private with very few other people except folks with homes on the same street which is what we like. The house is a bit dated but has a funky, old school charm - it was clean and provided all amenities we needed for our stay. We had a lot of fun here and was a great location to explore the rest of the north shore. We stayed for Halloween and trick or treated in Waialua and were blown away by how the whole neighborhood participated, kids and adults alike. We also spent time at three tables beach near sharks cove and Waimea beach. Good value for 5-6 people and the sunsets were some of the best we've witnessed.
