You won't want to miss the chance to stay in this wonderful home-away-from-home near Terry Peak. Black Hills Hideaway is one of those cabins you'll reminisce about all year until you come back and stay again. This charming cabin is perfectly located within walking distance to Terry Peak and is in the heart of the Northern Black Hills recreation corridor. You can be skiing or snowmobiling in minutes, cruising or hiking through Spearfish Canyon within 10 minutes, or gambling in Deadwood within a short 10 minute drive. There won't be a problem finding things to do nearby while still enjoying the peace and quiet of the property.

After coming back from your daily adventures, you'll enjoy coming back to your very own cabin. This newly renovated cabin is complete with an open kitchen perfect for entertaining guests. Hardwood flooring to set the mood of being in your favorite cabin, vaulted ceilings with large windows to the outside and a gas fireplace to kick your feet up at after long days on the trails. There's garden doors that open up into the outdoor partially covered deck space with great privacy, a grill, and hot tub. The lower level is perfect for gathering with a family room with walk-out access. You'll have no problem watching wildlife stroll by as you enjoy some time with your family/friends. There's a queen bed in each of the bedrooms and a loft that includes 4 single beds. You'll also have access to the oversized 1 car garage for your vehicle or motorcycles/snowmobiles ready for those adventurous days. Overall it was a good stay! Location is good, area is gorgeous and the garage was a big plus. The AC doesn't hold up well when its hot out but it's probably meant to be more of a wintertime spot as it's near the ski lodges. We did find a few oscillating fans that helped and nothing to really complain about. Would stay here again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very nice, we had 12 in our party, the space did not accommodate our party as far as sitting, the dinning table only sat six people and bar sat only four, the kitchen towels had mildew smell and no matter how much we washed then the smell did not go away same with the bath towels, it needed an over all good dusting (cobwebs on light figures).would have been nice to have laundry soap and dryer sheets and extra toilet paper. The living room could only sit 5 people so over half of our party had sit on the floor.The windows could have had some type of covering as it got very hot in the house and the ac unit could not cool the living area. Over all the house was in a very convenient area and easily accessible to the activities we had planned for our vacation.

Very nice place that is close to the ski resort. Overall thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay again. Just needs minor maintenance completed for next stay. Bathroom downstairs needs some draino in the shower. And the kitchen needs a new set of kitchen knifes that are sharper than a chopstick.

Amazing Stay

Myself and all my children stayed there for a weekend and absolutely loved it! It had everything needed and more. We enjoyed the hot tub, went sledding and warmed up by the fire after a full day of skiing!! Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet oasis

We love the comfort and amenities!! Lotā€™s of room to spread out if needed. Hot tub was nice and relaxing. The house was stocked nicely. We will return for Winter sports!! Host was easy to communicate with.

Great spacious cabin.

The cabin is nicely updated. We had everything we needed during our stay for cooking meals. The housekeeping missed a few things before our stay, but overall very clean. Location is perfect. Views are great. This is our second time renting this cabin.

I love how the cabin was decorated. We love the cieling. Downstairs basement was great as well. Having some windows you could open on the main floor would be the only thing I would change.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was an okay place to stay. Plenty of space for our group of 12. It was tidy at first glance but upon closer looks it needed more attention. Dirty dishes were in the cupboards. As if the previous guests just shoved back into cupboards to get it done before they left. Vacuuming and dusting were also lacking. Table must have been recently restained and was sticky. AC unit filters dirty to the point air flow was restricted. Windows were also dirty, more like frosted glass.Some items I expected to be stocked like garbage bags and salt and pepper were not there. I get that the cleaners only have from 10 am to 4 pm to clean before next guest and not every item needs doing every time but a check list could help speed this along and keep things from getting missed too often. We also struggled to get the deck doors to lock... alignment issue?? Called and left message with management, no response.The rooms appeared clean and assume the bedding was cleaned before our stay but with the way the rest of things were missed it makes me wonder if they were washed between guests. 2 bathrooms were cleaned and stocked with plenty of towels in each. Hot tub was also nice to use and it had towels in closet next to door for quick grab. I would recommend to friend for the location and easy to get to and cost, but would also NOT recommend due to cleanliness, especially the dirty dishes in cupboards.

Summer stay

There were lots of options for sleeping arrangements given the various ages of children in our group (2-10 years). The kitchen was very well stocked. Having a washer and drier was very helpful and the hot tub was also very nice. We had some issues with temperature regulation when it was warm outside; fortunately, some storms rolled in and we were able to keep things cool with open windows.
