Located in quaint neighborhood adjacent to the Winnipesaukee Pier, just steps to the boardwalk, beach and restaurants. Walking distance to marinas for your boat slip rental. Located just 4 houses from the water and 2 houses from the Weirs Beach Boardwalk and attractions. Water access via a shared dock for swimming in a beautiful sandy bottomed area. Great family neighborhood. Sleeps 5 comfortably.

Relaxation by the lake

Very relaxing place to stay that is just steps away from so many things to do. Very nice accommodations. Beautiful area. You can crash and read or get out and enjoy everything around you.

Great Stay

We really liked this house and would stay again. There was some weekend noise from the nearby bar as others had noted but the window AC units were enough to drown it out. We didn’t have any issues with the property or the owners.

Adorable lake house!!

We had an amazing week at Lake Winnipesakee and truly enjoyed this great lake house! The location is amazing and so close to everything the Weirs has to offer. The house was clean and comfortable for our family of 5. We were so thankful the bedrooms had AC units because it was a very hot week! We highly recommend this place!

Wonderful Lake Week

We stayed for a week and very much enjoyed everything about the property. The house was clean, and very nicely decorated. The street had lovely families and our 5 year old daughter loved making friends and riding her bike on the quiet street. The location of the property was perfect for our family. When the weather was cooler we had the boardwalk and other activities close by. The hosts were responsive and had provided many activities nearby. We would absolutely recommend this wonderful property on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Fantastic stay at the 1901 Lake House

Just arrived home from a week at the Lake Winnipesaukee 1901 House. Perfect location! Right off the boardwalk. The kids loved it! So much to see and do. The kids were able to spend time in the arcades and there were many restaurants all just steps away. Nice private swimming area at the end of the street for residents only with a Pier for jumping off. House was clean and comfortable and owners were quick to respond with any questions. We met several of the neighbors who were also eager to give us tips on local attractions and restaurants. Spent a lot of time on the large back deck where we were able to hear some great bands playing at a nearby venue. Last day of vacation we were so happy that the owners, Brendan and Sarah stopped by to introduce themselves. Wonderful people who shared their lake house with us. Thanks again

Location, location, location

This was a lovely, old, wood-frame original lake house. It had lots of character with slanting wood floors and a nice front porch with a partial lake view. The house was very clean and smelled wonderful (had nice scented plug ins). The main bedroom was very pretty with nice, soothing decor and a very comfortable queen bed. The kitchen was large and well-equipped. There is a large back deck with a table and chairs and gas grill. The issue was the location. The house is across the street from a bar, The Big House, that has an outdoor concert venue. It was not hot when we were at the house but we turned on the air conditioner in the bedroom to try and drown out the sound of the band playing at the bar (it was a Saturday night). The next day (Sunday), bands started at noon and you could hear them loudly from the house's front porch. In addition, you are also across the street from the boardwalk and arcade. You can here the bells ringing as people win in the arcade. The back deck of the house backs up to the back of the row of take out restaurants on the boardwalk so you hear the exhaust fans from the restaurants. Being this close to the boardwalk and everything going on on Weirs Beach might be attractive for some (you are a quick walk to the nice, sand, swimming beach), but it was not for us. It was a very cozy, attractive, historic home in what we felt was a really unfortunate location.

Dear Susan, Thank you so much for your honest review. We work very hard to thoroughly clean the house between guests and make our home welcoming. I'm glad you appreciated that and enjoyed the houses authentic beach cottage character. The location is great for people who want to be in the middle of it all and within walking distance to area attractions. Holiday weekends and weeks can be noisy, but during the week the house can be quite a nice getaway. Unfortunately, the noise of the live bands is out of our control, especially when there are multiple bands playing. Sometimes we're really lucky and get to listen to some great music for free! Again, I'm so glad you enjoyed the character of the cottage! Really, finally, someone "gets" it!! All the best, Sarah & Brandon

Lake Winnipesaukee escape

This house was perfect for our family. It was walking distance to everything fun, the lake view from the porch while sipping coffee in the morning was a treat AND even our pup could enjoy with us!! Bringing our dog was a game-changer. She walked the town with us and enjoyed time on the porch and deck and we loved having her with us. The hosts, Sarah and Brandon were fantastic and they made the process so easy and enjoyable. The house is a gem!! They even had "What About Bob" for us!! If you get a chance to stay here...do it!!! Great week at the Lake!

House was great! Close to the boardwalk and lake we could hear the live music from the porch. During the week it was nice and quiet however on the weekend you could hear all the noise from the bar until about 2 am. Overall though it was a great week and would stay here again!

Great get away

We had a wonderful time here. It took a little while for email responses at first, but when we had a more pressing concern Sarah gave us her phone number to expedite communication. The downstairs bathroom is just a toilet, just needed to wash hands in the kitchen sink. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with utensils and dishes. The deck was nice for evening dinners and afternoon brunch. We played the games provided (Sorry!, Poker cards/chips, puzzles). Overall we had a great time and would come again. The location is fantastic! Really close to the boardwalk where there's an arcade, shops, and the main pier for boat/pwc rentals.

First of many

Had a great experience this week. The kids loved the cozy nook. The views and breeze in the quiet morning with a cup of coffee was just the way to start a fun filled day of swimming and arcades that are only steps away. The owners were super quick to respond anytime we messaged them. I am already planning the next years vacation there.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time! The location is perfect, you can walk to so much. And the views of the lake at the end of the street are amazing! Would highly recommend this rental!

Wedding weekend!!

We had such a perfect time here!! The kids loved the little cove under the stairs where they both cuddled up and spent most of their time there. Check in was super easy and we were even a little early and still got to go in which was much appreciated. The location was perfect as well. Thank you!!

Great location!

Perfect spot for our long weekend getaway! Right next to the boardwalk, and water access with the dock at the end of the street! We had a great stay!

Great start to our summer

We rented over the memorial day weekend and it was a great decision. House had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. So close to the boardwalk and weirs beach. We walked to the train, and the pier for the boat, without having to pay for parking. Plenty of spots to eat, snacks, and an arcade for the kids. Quiet street without much traffic other than the folks staying there. Bars and taverns on the pier had late night music, which may not be enjoyable if you want to turn in at 8 pm. Will keep in mind to stay again if we get more time off from work. Great location to be able to participate in all the lake region activities.

property more rustic than described it the listing

The listing said this property had off street parking but that was really not the case because the drive way unpaved uneven and narrow my suv did not fit. Problems: Floor not level on the second floor ; Junk piled in heap on floor under the stairs, sliding back door was unlocked when we arrived and we had great difficulty getting to lock, yard small and messy and unsafe.

Great vacation!

I stayed at the house the last week of August with my husband and 3 year old. We had a great time! Doreen was incredibly helpful and gave us so many great suggestions!! It was very much appreciated and helped us enjoy our vacation even more. We enjoyed walking to breakfast every morning (compass café.) Definitely need to check out Ellacoya beach which is about a 10 minute drive and beautiful! My son loved walking to the arcades and we enjoyed many local restaurants for dinner/drinks at night. Also, took the mail boat for a boat ride which was a lot of fun! Thank you for a great week!

Loved the location and the house was great. Liked having a toilet on first floor.

Love area. Been coming up here for years since I was a kid. I like closeness to the boardwalk. Only thing was not too crazy about swimming area. Other than that. It was great.

Great vacation

We stayed at this house for a week in late August and had amazing weather. It was the perfect location for our family - two kids 10 and 13 and a dog. Weirs Beach is a neat little down with arcades, miniature golf and a beach all within walking distance. The house is 1 minute from the dock where you can take a boat ride around the lake - we took the mail boat with the driver giving continuous commentary and history - I recommend this. Swimming dock at the end of the block was great - crystal clear water. Our dog swam every morning and afternoon! House was simple and clean with nice big shady deck and large grill. Quaint front porch that we sat on and had a beer as we listened to the live jazz band playing at the restaurant across the street. Short trip to lots of good hiking and small towns. great spot.

Great Beach Rental

My husband and I stayed at this cottage in July for a week! The owners were very friendly and took care of anything that was needed. The cottage is close to everything Weirs Beach has to offer! We will be back again! Thank you for a great vacation!

The Berry Family is a small, tight knit family of four living in Barrington, NH. Sarah works for a water filtration company; Brandon has owned his own business for 25+ years. Our kids are both grown. We've enjoyed boating on Winnipesaukee for the past 20 years and are thrilled to finally own a house so close! We enjoy all kinds of motor sports (ATVs, snowmobiles, boating, etc.), are into classic cars & motorcycles and love the great outdoors!

This house is in a great location! It's close to the lake and so many attractions in the area. The list of things to do in this area is endless!! Even if you're just staying in and keeping things "low-key", the views from the front porch are great!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

One of the features we fell in love with was the little nook under the stairs. We love to read and wanted to incorporate a little reading nook for kids. A special little place that they can call their own. So encourage them to bring their favorite book!! We're hoping to build a small library of classic & popular titles!
