Poor response to major leak in bedroom

We loved so many things about our stay, areas that would easily have 5 stars. The area is stunning and we spent several evening sat out on the beautiful deck. The furniture was comfortable and the lights were lovely. There was a heater but we never needed it. The private beach was great and use of the kayaks a bonus. It was peaceful and idyllic.The house has many great feature - plenty of space, new kitchen appliances and new lounge furniture. The smart TV was handy as we could access Netflix etc.The bedrooms were fine and the beds comfortable.Our major gripe was that 2 hours after arriving on Tuesday we started to unpack (we spent the first couple of hours enjoying the late afternoon sun on the deck) and found a leak in one of the bedrooms. The floor and rug was soaked and there was a puddle of water across the middle of the room. There was a significant drip, seemingly coming from the wall heater. We messaged our contact (with photos/video and were really pleased to quickly get a reply as it was out of office hours. Initial contact was hopeful, advised that owners would be contacted and extra towels made available if required.The following day (Wednesday) we chased up to be told they were still waiting on reply (assume from owners). After hearing nothing more I messaged again and heard nothing back. On Sunday we left, a day early, the floor was puddled and rusty staining forming from the leak. As we were leaving a cleaner arrived - she had been sent with towels and to check the leak. We also had a message to say the repair was being fixed on Monday. This means that after reporting a serious leak nothing was going to be done until after we had left 6 days later. We booked a 2 bedroom property but basically one was out of use. I don't know where the problem lies, whether it is the rental company or owners but this is not acceptable. One of us did slip on the puddled floor and luckily was not injured. The house is gorgeous for the money. It is not perfect but we loved the location and were happy with it.I hope the management company can resolve issues faster in future.

There was bugs crawling out of e wry crack in the house the water smelt like fish we had no air conditioning the owner of the house did not care did not do anything about it other than tell us to open a window the electrical outlets in the bedrooms did not work. I do not recommend at all to anyone I tried getting a refund it was being processed then Vrbo entirely stopped answering me

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We want to clarify a few points for future guests: each room has an A/C unit that was installed once the weather turned warm, so cooling was available throughout the stay. The electrical outlets in the bedrooms are all functional; some are tied to a wall light switch, which is common in many homes, so they only work when that switch is turned on. As for pest concerns, we take cleanliness seriously and have not had similar reports from other guests. We stand behind the condition of this home and want every guest to feel comfortable and well informed during their stay.
