Oceanfront Cottage in Otter Bay on North Pender Island with spectacular views

Ocean view private 2 level cottage perched on the point with a spacious ocean front wood deck. Furnished 1 bedroom + loft + 1 bath with heated slate flooring, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, gas fireplace, barbeque, TV and wifi and views from every window.

Otter Bay on North Pender Island is a 45 minute ferry ride from Victoria, BC or 2 hours from Vancouver or a modest 20 minutes by float plane. The cottage is a 10-minute walk from the Pender Island ferry terminal or a short taxi ride from Washington Pier’s float plane dock. Common amenities include a full-size swimming pool, games room, and marina bistro with electric bike rentals, some facilities closed in off-season.

Pender, a magical island, offers an exciting and intimate experience for those who want to explore what British Columbia’s most spectacular coastline and natural landscape has to offer. Kayaking, golfing, whale watching, hiking, boating and beach combing are just some of the activities awaiting you on Pender Island.

We enjoyed stunning, unobstructed sunset views of Otter Bay from this comfortable and tidy rental. Much on the island was closed do to off-season, but that gave us more excuse to relax at home, watch the waves, and get out on many well-marked hiking trails that crisscross the island. We're already planning for our return trip!

Sue was a superb host. The cottage is the absolute best in the Currents community because of its location at the tip of the point with an unobstructed view, ideally designed windows to maximize the view of the Salish Sea and the evening stars, and its privacy. The housekeeping was meticulous. It was a lovely place to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

Lovely Pender Island cottage

Best spot on the island!

We loved staying at this comfortable, beautiful cottage. Such a beautiful location and such a quiet bay. We are grateful that we could enjoy it for a week! It is a little complicated to bring everything needed for preparing meals since we came by airplane to Vancouver, but it was worth the trip and carrying our food staples across the country!

Nice little cottage

We really enjoyed the cottage. The pillows were oddly lumpy though and the bed quite firm. Other than that we really enjoyed the views and the property.

Beautiful view

Very clean and such a great view. Handy to the ferry. Nice to be able to sit right on the edge of the ocean and walk around the marina. Bring your own coffee and filters and shampoo. Really enjoyed our stay!

Picture Perfect Getaway

While sitting at the dining table of our VRBO cabin on Pender Island, we could gaze out through the large picture windows at the beauty of the Salish Sea. We watched the antics of the cormorants and seagulls flying overhead and, in the far distance, we could see one of the B.C. ferries slowly sailing back and forth to Victoria or the other Gulf Islands. So beautiful. So relaxing, especially after coming back from one of the many amazing hikes on this gorgeous island.

Best unit in the development, hands down

It was perfect! Such a beautiful spot with unobstructed views of the water and Otter Bay. The cottage is well appointed, really cozy. When I get a chance to go back to Pender (which itself is amazing), I'll be trying to snag this unit again. We were there in the off season so not much was happening, but the complex has a lot to offer - games room, pools, marina (if you've got a boat). And the host, Sue, was quick to provide info and reply to messages and made sure the place was a good fit for us before accepting our reservation. I definitely recommend this one!

Our little get away.

The rental unit was clean, cozy and a beautiful view. It had everything we needed for our stay. The Island is very scenic with lots of hikes and spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Would definitely come back and recommend it to other people.

Great weekend escape

Enjoy the proximity of the cottage to the ferry and just walk on! Our host was great about recommending things to do within walking distance and there was kayak/canoe rental right on site.

Otter Bay has been one of our favorite sailing destinations for many years. Having yet access to a cottage only adds icing to the cake. This is an amazing oceanfront property that when you land here you know you have come to the right place to relax and enjoy all that the BC coastline offers.
