The townhouse is in a small quiet neighborhood, but this is really a prime location - a US post office, gas station/convenience store, Walgreens, McDonald's, Subway, Publix grocery store and pharmacy, Taco Bell, Dunkin Donuts, Long Doggers restaurant, and public beaches are all within 1/2 mile.
A favorite eatery of ours is Da Kine Diego's Insane Burritos which is 1.1 miles away on Florida A1A, across from the beaches. And 1 more mile south on A1A, Pappagallo's Pizza is excellent and has a great beach view around back.
For an "out of this world" bagel experience, Beachside Bagel World is a mile south of the house on South Patrick. If you want seafood, cross the river bridges 4 miles to waterfront dining at Grill's Riverside Seafood Deck.
Golfing is available just 2 miles away at Manatee Cove Golf Course at Patrick Air Force Base. It is an 18-hole par 72 course, with general public access.
For very nice tennis courts that are free and lighted, head south on South Patrick 2 miles to left on Banana River Drive, the courts will be on your right within 0.2 miles.
There are numerous beaches with access all along A1A, both north and south.
Satellite Beach schools are nearby, and it is a 1 minute walk to the football stadium to root the high school team to victory on Friday nights.
Ten miles north on A1A is Cocoa Beach, and 8 more miles north is Cape Canaveral and then Kennedy Space Center. Rocket launches take place frequently from the Cape Canaveral Air Force space complex and can be viewed as easily as stepping out the front door or going to the beach to watch a more spectacular show, especially for a night launch.
Orlando with its many theme parks and international airport is 60 miles away.
