Unit 058 - Seasons - This Sound-Front 5BR/3BA home located on the west-end is the perfect place to spend your family vacation. The expansive great room opens to the roomy kitchen and dining area with numerous windows and French doors that look out to the Mississippi sound directly behind the home. The living area features a large TV with plenty seating for the family. Well-equipped kitchen with beautiful, stainless appliances makes cooking a breeze. A dining table for six is accompanied by extra seats at the breakfast bar for gathering everyone together at dinner. Two bedrooms offer a king sized bed with en suite bathrooms, two bedrooms with queen beds, and the 5th bedroom with a twin over full bunk. Each bedroom has a flat screen television. The covered porch and huge open deck wrap around the entire house, letting you enjoy views from every angle including. Come enjoy every season on Dauphin Island at this home for years to come.

Okay for the price.

This house is the definition of ā€œget what you pay forā€. Itā€™s fine to the naked eye but there are some pretty detrimental issues that would have been worth knowing before we went. The floor at the back door is almost completely rotten, itā€™s mushy to the touch and one wrong step away from someone stepping through it. All of the ceiling vents throughout the house constantly leaked water. It seemed to be a trend on the entire island so it would have been fine but one of the beds was directly under a vent and was soaked and unusable because of it. The front shower head needs to be replaced and is essentially unusable because of it. All of this being said, if you do NOT go with a big group that actually needs to use the entire house, these issues are easily avoidable (aside from the sinking floor). Grievances aside, the house served its purpose for a nice couples get away!

Indulging in Dauphin

Great location. Great spacious property. Great island for enjoying fun on the sun. The bay is in the back yard and gulf just across the street between other properties. Hard wood floors are nice and number of bedrooms great for families.

Quiet and Relaxing Vacation

We had a wonderful time on the island. Collected tons of shells and memories! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and relaxing trip. House was well equipped and clean when we arrived. Beautiful view of the gulf from the front porch, the bay is in the back yard. Large deck for hanging out, could use some repair, as some nails are sticking up. Still cleaning up the sand from Ida, but city workers were nice and even helped us dig sand to free a car. Bring beach toys and floaties, and a bag to collect the shells. Donā€™t miss the sunset on the west end!!!!

Totally enjoyed this place!

House actually sits on the bay side but very beautiful. Family enjoyed fishing in the bay and lots of time spent on back deck enjoying the view. The swimming beach right across from the street! Jellyfish not quite as bad as they were in Fort Morgan a few days before. We got stung in Fort Morgan and one child stung twice on the beach across the street from the home. Not as many Jellyfish here in Dauphine Island. Restaurantā€™s very slow except for the Islander. Lighthouse bakery is packed on Sunday. They donā€™t open until 9:00am and we waited for 45 minutes to get our turn. Also be mindful of fire ants. One child was bitten/stung by fire ants. Saw mound out back in the dune area. Not the houses fault just be aware if you set things down on the sand pay attention. This house was perfect for my family. We enjoyed our stay and property owners were able to accommodate us and we were able to stay an additional day! Thank you!

Overall pleased with our stay

We loved the property and amenities. I know the housekeeping could have been better, but also was made aware they were short handed as is most of the US. There were repairs made prior to our stay but believe the deck could use major repairs and replacement. Overall, it is safe but has seen better days and the salt/wind has worn this deck out. Very pleased with our choice overall to stay here. Loved the views of the sunset and bay side "beach".

Needs maintenance

Be aware of lots mosquitoes . The property needs to be maintained ( deck was in horrible condition , broken deck furniture ) . Trash was all round the house ( rusted bicycle, beer cans and bottles ). I could go on about the property . It just all come down to the property should of not of been rented out in the condition that is was in .

Great house and beautiful sunsets!

The house was perfect for a family get away we had 12 people with plenty of space! The open floor plan and huge deck allow the space to accommodate us all comfortably. The deck railing was a bit wobbly in a few areas and could become hazardous with kids. This house is also on the west end of the beach which is known for flooding. We did have to evacuate due to this issue without reimbursement so choose wisely when booking location and time of year for this little get away. Overall great experience hate it was cut short but would definitely recommend and book again.

Great space but lots of maintenance needed

We loved the decor and ample amount of space. The views of the bay were so gorgeous and there is easy access to many beaches. We were very disappointed in the condition of the home. The furniture out back, pictured for the listing is completing destroyed-some missing the bottom of the seats. There was one good chair for a house that sleeps 13. We were really looking forward to relaxing out back but did not have that option. The inside needs alot of maintenance. Holes in couches, stains and very dirty furniture, dining room chairs with the paint completely gone, dirty curtains and doors, layers of dust, broken dressers, and cabinet doors that are coming apart. The listing company was gracious enough to refund us some of our money. We love Dauphin Island but will choose another house next time we come.

Great place, even for the coldest day of the year

It was too cold to do anything beachy but this house has a great view of the bay and is also so close to the beach. We had a great time!

Great Bay location, spacious house

We chose this house because of its location on the Bay (very quiet and private) and the fact that it was so spacious (5 bedrooms! More than we even needed) was a bonus. Great back deck and nice proximity to the Gulf side (although I spent most of my time fishing in the Bay)

Summer vacation

We were pleased with the property and the amenities and would return. Everyone enjoyed the wrap around porch and easy access to the Sound and Gulf. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The home does need some maintenance both inside and out to repair normal wear/tear issues for a beach rental. However we would still recommend this home - we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay!
