Necanicum House - Oregon Beach Vacations

Welcome to Necanicum House, located in Seaside, right in front of the Necanicum River and just down the street from the Seaside Promenade! This lovely, two story home boasts four bedrooms, two and a half baths, and is perfect for up to eight guests! Step inside your Seaside vacation rental and get ready to relax in style and comfort on your next visit to the Oregon coast.

Park the car, and head inside. You'll find yourself in the living room area with enough seating for everyone in your group. Gather around the flat screen TV located above the fireplace and watch a movie together after a long day out on the beach. During those cold winter nights, feel free to warm your toes by the fire. Located just off of the living room, the kitchen provides everything you need to whip up a few homemade meals during your stay or plenty of space to set the takeout. The kitchen table holds four guests so feel free to gather in the living room area as well during meal time. There are also plenty of restaurants to check out while staying at Necanicum House. Pig n' Pancake, a pizza restaurant, and a great steak place are just a few places located on the Prom that offer great food and service.

Head upstairs, and you'll find a half bath along with the primary bedroom, boasting a queen size bed and a private bathroom, complete with a shower/tub combo. You'll also find the other three bedrooms upstairs along with the final full bathroom. Two of the rooms each offer one queen size bed, while the fourth bedroom offers two twins, making this room perfect for any children in your party.

While staying at Necanicum House in Seaside, be sure to check out the movie theater and the Seaside Aquarium should the weather outside turn frightful. Seaside also has a great outlet mall with many popular shops. There are also plenty of different kinds of restaurants to try or grocery stores to shop at for supplies while staying at your vacation rental. Come down to Seaside today for your Oregon coast vacation, and stay at Necanicum House!

This home is not pet friendly so please leave your pets at home, or make other arrangements for them.

This worked for what we needed. Clean bathrooms, slept really well, and close to where we wanted to be. There’s no extras here or anything luxury. Could’ve used more dishwashing tabs ( 3 night stay and only supplied 2) and bed spreads looked dingy. Seemed expensive for what it was. Overall it was satisfactory.

Great spot for golf trip to Gearhart

Group of friends and family stayed here for a two-round golf outing to Gearhart Golf Links. Convenient location.

Beach getaway

Great stay close to the beach. Communication with host was good. The only thing I would say is that it had lots of bugs/ Cobb webs.

Decent place to stay. For the price I thought I was getting something nicer. Outdated and the backyard wasn’t anything special. One room didn’t have a door and the hallway bathroom sink was clogged. I also thought it was closer to the beach but I still had to drive since we wanted to take our canopy and toys.

Practically Perfect Necanicum House

The location is hidden, but easy to find. I could hear the ocean lulling me to sleep every night. Kitchen had everything we needed, walked to downtown and to the beach. Love this property and Seaside!

Our beach trip.

The house was in a great location to the water and town. Very accommodating bedrooms. Would have loved to see more cups, bowls, and plastic cups for kids. We had a great stay.

Needs some TLC

Easy check process and close to the beach. The house needs some TLC and a deep clean. The WiFi wasn’t working for us. There’s only 3 bedrooms and a space upstairs they put a 4th bed in but the mattress was horrible. There were spider webs everywhere and the top bunk bed wasn’t made and had candy wrappers in. They charge cleaning fee but required to load the dish washer, strip the beds and take all trash out. Makes you think what’s the fees for because they aren’t actually deep cleaning the house.

Short Seaside trip

Easy to find, check in was easy, the place is dated, the living room (couch/rug) could use a cleaning, however the bedrooms/bathrooms were clean. Beds were all very comfortable. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Perfect for our family plus the grandparents. Would stay here again. Very functional and lots of room for a family of four plus grandparents.

Close to everything

Property is well located and has all the basic amenities needed. Perfect for our infant and two year old. That being said it really needs a deep clean (couches, rugs, sink area) and the mattresses need to be replaced as well.

This was a good-sized home for a large group. That being said it needs some work. The mattresses, I am guessing, are quite old and quite uncomfortable. The cleaning staff has not done a good job on cleaning this rental. We found clothes in the dresser, a dirty towel hanging on the back of a door and other things as well. There also seems to be a spider problem and perhaps some bug prevention spray needs to happen on the exterior. I would not stay here again. I don't like it when people leave petty complaint reviews but this place needs work on furnishings and maintenance/care.

This was a disappointing stay all around. The home is filthy. Walls were dirty. Carpet horrible condition, stains everywhere. The house smelled horrible. The bedding wasnt cleaned. Stove and oven were dirty. There were bugs and spiders everywhere. Bathrooms were gross, we had to unclogg the upstairs bathtub drain, the bathrooms had to be cleaned before we could even use them. We ended up buying a blow up mattress and bedding to sleep on in the living room because the rooms were so gross. Would not recommend this place to anyone. The home is in need of a complete renovation, deep cleaning and extermination. We immediately alerted VRBO about this expierence. We spent several thousand dollars to stay here! We expected a clean space to stay.

Review

Could use a bit more yard chairs for time outside (either out front or back). Also lots of cobwebs around the house (behind doors, corners and ect.) Loved the addition of fans in each room, lots of towels, decent kitchen setup for cooking onsite. Quiet neighborhood, close to beach, all as advertised. Couches are a bit lived in and could use an upgrade.mattresses as well are old and not very comfortable.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice stay. The house was immaculate although there were a couple of maintenance issues-which didn't get in the way of having a good weekend. Signage to remind us valley folks that there was no air conditioning would have been n=handy. The thermostat indicated that there was and it took us a while to figure that out. Once we got a couple of windows open and the fans running the house cooled nicely.

Good Location, a couple of short comings

Location is pretty close to everything, The beds are not comfortable second bedroom you can feel the springs in the mattress. Kitchen could use a couple more standard items, cookie sheets, griddle, better scrubber for dishes. Couches were stained and just didn't feel very clean. Also ran out of propane half way through grilling burgers. Also with multiple people staying, would have also been nice having more than one key for all of us.

Not Clean and nothing done about it

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was ok. It wasn’t the worst or best rental we’ve had in Seaside. It was however not clean when we got there. I called management and they said they’d get back to me or send a cleaning crew...crickets. Why am I paying a cleaning fee on a place that’s not been cleaned.

The beds were a quality of something you would expect out of a motel that cost you $75 a night. I barely slept our 4 night there because of how uncomfortable they were. The house otherwise is really quite nice. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room honestly. The location was perfect, the beach and the shops are just a couple blocks away. The house is a nice house and was very clean. The other two small things that bothered me was the top bunk wasn't made on arrival (luckily my tall husband was with) and the pic showed an air hockey table which wasn't there for our stay (was looking forward to it).

Worst experience ever

We were looking forward to our trip to Seaside, unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned. First we didn’t receive the check-in information until 20 minutes after the check in time leaving us stranded. The carpets and couches were stained and cobwebs everywhere. The speaker to the tv was broken. There was white suspicious stains on the guest bedroom bedding, obviously it hadn’t been washed. The bunk bed top bed wasn’t made. The curtains were missing from bathrooms providing no privacy from neighbors. There was sand in the dishwasher and full of dishes. The grill was left in the garage dirty as hell and the propane was empty. The backyard fence is in need of serious repair. We have pictures if needed. It’s unfortunate that this rental company is letting a good house go to sh*t.

Adequate

This property was okay. It was in a nice neighborhood. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and main town. The hidden driveway was actually nice, since we didn’t have to worry about our toddler being near a main road while loading and unloading in the car. It was adequate for our needs since we spent most of our time outside/sightseeing. However, the place was not the cleanest. The downstairs had wood floor and tile that felt clean. But the area rug in the living room and carpet upstairs was stained and dirty. There were cobwebs in many corners of the rooms. After stripping the beds at the end of the stay, we noticed the pillows were yellowed/stained. The linens and towels did feel clean though. The kitchen had basic essentials but some of the pantry items were expired. Some of the pots and pans could be replaced as they were very worn and had loose handles. Around 10am, before checkout a woman (stated she was the housekeeper) pulled up saying we were supposed to be out at 10am and seemed irritated that we were still there. However, our checkout instructions and posted signage in the home stated checkout was before 11 am. Overall, for the price the property worked for us but there was definitely room for improvement.
