Your home away from home!

The “Cabbagehouse” is much like Cabbagetown - lovely and traditional, with a positive, creative energy. As a bonus, the house was completely rebuilt in 2004, and is clean, tidy and feels brand new.

The great room features a grand piano - among other musical instruments - an open kitchen and dining area, a fully stocked bar, and a spiral staircase leading to a cozy loft (third) bedroom. Downstairs, you’ll find a master bedroom and ensuite (with a large walk-in closet), and the second bedroom and bathroom. The house has a laundry room and closet - which you’re welcome to use. Outside, we have a front porch with chains and a porch swing. Out back, we have a back porch with two outdoor couches and chairs, a patio with a table and chairs, a hot tub (virtually brand new, with color changing lights and an inbuilt sound system) that you are welcome to use, and a putting green!! We're in the process of upgrading the garden and adding an additional deck and seating area next to the putting green. The house also has a driveway that can fit two-three cars.

The house is also my residence when I'm in town - meaning you'll have everything you need in a house for it to feel like your home-from-home (fully stocked kitchen, games, entertainment, spare bathroom, kitchen, laundry products etc)! However, please note that it is not suitable for parties of any sort and for safety reasons, guests not mentioned on the listing/approved by the host are not allowed inside the house.

The house has an HD television in the loft area. The TV has a Chromecast - simple to use and with detailed instructions printed, just in case. You can easily watch Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, or any other shows/movies you access from your laptop or a chromecast-enabled app on your phone. Also, we rely on ice trays, rather than an ice machine (it isn't working at the moment, sorry!). We have ice trays and they’ll be ready to go, when you arrive.

I also recently installed a 6-stage, reverse osmosis, alkaline-up water filtration system in the kitchen! There is a separate tap for incredibly pure and great tasting water. It's a game changer!! We also have an IQair filter in the master bedroom (that you can move if you need to) that provides medical-grade clean air.

Also, please make sure to let me know the names of everyone in your party before booking, what brings you to Atlanta, and your expected arrival/departure times (if you have them). VRBO is a trust-based system, so we need to know who is staying in our house!

Finally, (and it KILLS me to have to even write this), but there is a $250 emergency cleaning fee if the hot tub is left in a mess and needs professional cleaning/reset. I am meticulous about making sure that the hot tub is crystal clear when you arrive, and provide clear instructions (and am always available by phone for any questions or to help out!!). Getting someone out to clean and the water/chemicals to reset everything is really expensive if there are things like drinks being spilled or other activity that damages the water to the extent that the water needs to be replaced & the tub cleaned. Thanks in advance for taking care of it so other guests can continue to use it!
