This rustic beach cottage is situated at Sakonnet Point primo location with panoramic ocean and harbor views and fabulous rising and setting sunsets . This is the best LC location with its private beach and evening campfires . You are only a stone throw from the ocean . The best accessible and dog-friendly beach in Little Compton is only a five-minute walk away.
The house is open breezy like living on a boat yet better with kitchen, dining, and living room in one large open space with fabulous views. Great porch for cooking, entertaining, relaxing with your favorite drink.
You will really enjoy your time if you accept that this is "no Hampton's rental " but a weather beaten 45 year old Ocean front beach house living with all the nuisances There are so many things to do in Little Compton but the best is to relax and enjoy the view. Just get a pot of salt water and cook your lobsters on the beach or porch and try some Sakonnet wine.
Also, play at the world-famous private Donald Ross Sakonnet Golf Course as my paying quest or go to the exclusive best Private mile-long Lloyds beach a few hundred yards from the house with my permission. You can even take your dogs with you ! Most Guest remarkā€stunning location , cute beach in frontā€ ā€œstunning for sunsets and sunrises ā€œ ā€œview panoramic gets 12, out of 10 ā€œ private beach and Loyds a gemā€ā€ so serene and relaxing especially with a cozy fireā€ ā€œour dog had a great time too!!! ā€œ ā€œgetting to play the famous Donald Ross ( he summered in L C ) Sakonnet Golf Course was a dream come trueā€ ā€œ if your are nitpicky or a complainer about amenities this isnā€™t your place. Another wonderful stay! You cannot beat the location of this home, we absolutely love it. Having the ocean steps outside the back of the house and our own beach is priceless. My fiancĆ© spends hours picking up sea glass on the private beach, and I enjoy a fire on the beach each year. We look forward to next yearā€™s visit!

Sisters Weekend away!

The fantastic setting of this house and the gorgeous views were absolutely the highlight of our weekend away visiting Newport. At first we thought the drive over to Newport would be a drag but it turned out the be a huge benefit. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Little Compton and getting the real feel of small town New England. The house is small but very comfortable for 4 to 6 people. Our host was very accommodating and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again.

Delightful beach house

This home was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet off season beach retreat. The ocean views, sunsets and access to so many spectacular beaches was perfect. The house had many kayaks, bikes and games for use, kitchen was fully functional and stocked with all the things needed to cook for the family. The homeowner checked in with us regularly and we had a great time speaking with him and hearing the history of the area. Will definitely go back!

Rhode Island beach house

We loved our stay in this beach house. The location is spectacular. Our grandchildren had a wonderful time playing on the rocky pocket beach. They climbed, collected rocks and played in the sand. During bad weather we enjoyed a fire in the fireplace.The General Store in Little Compton had a well selected stock of food, and the restaurant next door was good.

Gorgeous

The location and beaches were stunning, both for sunsets and sunrises. The house was comfortable and cheerful and we enjoyed being there. Owner was extremely accommodating and helped us arrange a golf outing and provided wood for a cozy fire on the rainy day. Our dog had a great time too!

Overall we were happy with our stay. The location is beautiful with a stunning view, incredible sunsets and sunrises! The house could use some repairs and new furniture. For the cost we would at least expect kitchen appliances to work better and furniture that is comfortable.

A true beachfront gem

Philā€™s place had everything our family needed. The beach front and lloyds beach where the highlight of our stay. You will not run out of things to do since it is located an hour away from cape cod for those interested on visiting Martha's vineyard or even providence!

Beautiful location!

The house was just perfect for us and exactly as described. Big bright windows with fantastic views made it feel very open and airy and it was so serene and relaxing being by the ocean that we didn't venture outside of the immediate area. The beds were comfortable and clean and the house had everything we needed. We didn't see the bikes, but also didn't look very hard, lol. Lloyds beach was great for the dogs and there's a nice loop around the marina right next to the house.

I am a retired physician now an active sportsman especially golf ( god gives you an extra day if you play ) sailor, hunter, farmer, etc
Lived my whole life here ( 9 the generation you'll see a lot of inbreeding LOL)

If you're obsessive/compulsive with severe anxieties, this perfect location will not make you feel better or relaxed. It will not be the perfect place for you !!!
Yes, the ocean, walking on the beach with your dog, and enjoying nature is the best therapy for vacationers or escapers. You have to allow yourself to enjoy the ambiance of sand, sun, and sea. Little Compton is blessed as Rhode Islands' only best small-town escapee by National Geographic. There is this scenic beauty of open space with stone walls going to the sea and plenty of ocean-front beaches. Also noted for great walks and bicycling.
Psychiatrists say it takes two weeks of vacation to come home really relaxed and worry-free. Long vacations near the Sea and in the Sun cures most problems !!! You don't need a doctor to tell you that!

House sleeps normally comfortably 5. For emergency a sofa/sleeper in the living room next to fireplace Also There is a walk-in semi-finished basement game room that can sleep 2 or more ( futon, pullout single bed, couch, and room for queen air bed )most people prefer not to sleep here !!
