Beautiful and Relaxing Beach Community Home

Home is on 2.5 private acres. Open floor plan with hardwoods and tile throughout. Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. All bedrooms come equipped with ceiling fans and TV's. Abundant sunlight throughout the house with refreshing afternoon sea breezes. Flat screen TV over fireplace in living room. Enjoy a morning coffee on the covered front porch or enjoy watching the deer and rabbits from the back sundeck. After the beach, clean off in all cedar enclosed outdoor shower with separate changing area. Large backyard is perfect for family games, roasting marshmallows over the fire pit or grilling the perfect hamburger on a Weber grill. The house has 2 adult beachcomber bikes available for use and 4 beach chairs to take to the beach with you. Challenge your friends and family to a game of ping pong on the ping pong table in the basement. Peaceful setting perfect for biking the country roads, leisurely walks or just kicking back and relaxing. Community has many local farm stands where you can get fresh eggs, veggies and flowers. Don't forget to visit the local lobsterman to get freshly caught lobster and enjoy a New England sea shore tradition. House is located 1 mile from your choice of beaches and 1 mile from the Commons which has a country store for all your needs, ATM, pizza place, post office, churches, restaurant, library and playground. Take a day trip to historic Newport only 40 minutes away or hop on the ferry to Martha's Vineyard also nearby. Come, relax and enjoy! (We are also the proud owner of VRBO # 696924 in Little Compton

Bookings during peak summer weeks are Saturday to Saturday

Current cleaning practices:
• We have removed all decorative and throw pillows.
• All linens are changed on the beds between every renter including mattress pads, pillow covers, blankets and comforters. All linen is washed at the highest recommended temperature
• We have changed out cleaning supplies to include a more vigorous and disinfecting practice. Products used are effective with the COVID virus.
• Close attention is being paid to high touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, stair railings, remote controls, faucets etc.
• Any bed linen used we ask to leave them on the bed unmade so we know they have been used. This includes any spare blankets we have in closets.
• Please open windows when leaving as appropriate according to weather to increase air circulation

Beautiful Spot!

Loved this home so much - all the rooms were very comfortable. The property is large and gorgeous, perfect for the 4 year old to run around and play. With family in the area, we will be back!

We had such a relaxing and comfortable stay at Mike’s place. The place was very clean, well stocked, and inviting. The grounds are spacious and well tended. There are many outdoor areas to sit that get varied sun and breezes at different times of the day. I also love the area of Little Compton, and would gladly return! Thank you for your graciousness in everything involved with hosting us! I will very happily return!

comfortable house close to the beach

The house was excellent, very comfortable and in a great location. We stayed for a couple of days while in town for a wedding and this house was perfect. Comfortable beds, excellent porch, nice and quiet and close to the town square and beaches. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Little Compton, it was great. Thank you.

Memorial Day Weekend 2023

We are a group of lifelong friends that have been spending MDW for many years. The house and property are beautiful. We had a great time. Everything we needed was there. It was quiet and private. Wonderful experience.

Coastal Charm

We loved this cottage! It was more spacious than anticipated, perfectly clean, and well stocked. It was great to have beach chairs and boogie boards. I meant to reach out to see if there was an umbrella for the back deck, but we were so busy exploring that I did not get around to it. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

June 2024 stay in Little Compton

We were in town for a wedding over in Newport and found this spot in the small, very quiet town of Little Compton. It was the perfect size for us and had all the amenities we needed. Sitting on the front porch or the back deck was very relaxing with the steady breeze and mid-70s temperatures throughout our stay. The beds were comfortable, the 2 bathrooms made it convenient to avoid waiting and the large, well appointed kitchen allowed us to choose either to cook or bring home takeout. Great home in a nice relaxing location - we would definitely stay here again.

Great House, Perfect Location

Thank you for an amazing week at your lovely Little Compton home. The house was a great location for access to Little Compton beaches and walking distance to the center of town where there is a cute coffee shop and general store. The house was warm and inviting; perfect size for a group of friends or a big family. We loved the information booklet of restaurants and things to do in the quaint town and neighboring towns. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the back porch overlooking the vast greenery in the back yard (our evening wiffle-ball games were so fun). The grill and fire-pit were a nice touch. There is laundry in the basement as well as a ping-pong table. Overall this is a perfect home for a nice week away. We hope to come again for our yearly summer beach trip! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Can’t wait for our next stay!

Little Compton is a beautiful and quiet beachside community, and this house is the perfect place to relax and enjoy. The outdoor spaces at this house are gorgeous and we used the outdoor shower exclusively. The inside is modern and comfortable and we found everything we needed including beach chairs and bikes! Mike was easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. We had a few very hot and humid days, when we wished there was air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans to stay comfortable. Besides, no AC is the classic Little Compton experience! We are already booked for next summer and can’t wait to return.

Fantastic house and location

Can’t say enough good things about the ease and enjoyment of our stay - great central location to beach and town center. House has all that we needed - from the basics such kitchen/baths/tv/outdoor shower to the fun such as boogie boards, beach chairs, bikes, ping pong, soccer - and the house is very clean. The backyard is lovely and so peaceful, plus the sunset creates a photo-worthy sky of pinks, oranges and blues. A day trip to Newport was a breeze in 40” and restaurants/ice cream/coffee in Tiverton and Westport only 15-20”. This was my second stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Perfect & Pristine House for our Stay in Little Compton

So enjoyed staying at this property while visiting Little Compton! It was very clean, comfortable and fully-equipped, in addition to being serene and simple. The large expanse of lawn surrounding the house, bordered by trees and shrubbery, was a nature's paradise. Hope to return!

HIghly recommend!!

This house is just perfect. Super clean, great open plan layout, big backyard, and close to South Beach. It worked so well for us. We were celebrating Thankgsiving with my husband's relatives who lived a mile away but were unable to accommodate all 5 of us. Any questions we had were answered within minutes by the homeowner(s). Will stay again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous LC Retreat

In need of a getaway, this wonderful house offered it all. Quiet. Great location close to The Commons, two decks, one perfect for morning coffee and the other just right for dinner and drinks watching the sunset. The home was absolutely spotless, the interior warm and inviting, the grounds beautifully landscaped. A gem. Mike answered our questions quickly and the check in/check out was seamless. Even though it was just two of us, this home is perfect for families too. A+.

Beautiful property! We loved the huge table for family dinners and the kids loved the huge yard and games in the basement. Lovely, quiet setting. The sunset is beautiful and it’s so close to the beach! Highly recommend!!

Perfect Stay in Little Compton

We loved our stay in Little Compton. This house was in perfect condition and well located. In particular, we loved the porches in front and back which allowed you to be out of the sun at different times of day and our daughter loved the huge yard. The local farms are amazing.

Family reunion

I booked this property for my sister, niece and nephew who traveled from Mexico, Utah and Oregon respectively. I was hosting a weekend family reunion at my home home nearby which is not large enough to accommodate my entire family. The VRBO home was perfect. Well appointed and decorated, comfortable, clean and in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend!
