This place was beautiful. Host was amazing easy to reach if you had questions. Was a little hard to find but the locals helped us. I highly recommend this house. Our group had a wonderful stay.

Dreamy Getaway

This was the perfect place for a family to recharge from a busy summer and reconnect. Calm and quiet, the perfect place to go see Assist, Orvieto and Citiva de Bagnaregio. Dreaming of returning to this gorgeous place!

Loving Le Macce

We had a wonderful holiday at the Villa Le Macce. The property is perfect for a family getaway. The views are incredible and there is a lot to see and do within easy driving distance. The host was very helpful and the villa had everything we needed. The pool was wonderful and meant that we could enjoy being outside even in 37 degree heat. I would highly recommend this property.

Just what we needed

This beautiful home in Umbria was exactly what we needed for downtime between day trips between towns. We would head out early and be home for a swim and relax taking in the wonderful views. The nearby villages we perfect for our needs and Ivan kindly arranged drivers for the dinners out. Our in home dinner was served with kindness and generosity. Thankyou

We had a great stay at this house with our group of friends. It’s true that the property is older and not hyper modern in every detail, but for us that added to its character and charm. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and we found the house very clean and well maintained.All the appliances worked perfectly, and the kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with everything we needed for proper cooking — the knives were even sharp (a detail we really appreciated!).The host was proactive and shared helpful recommendations and clear information about the house, which made things very easy for us.One earlier review made us a little hesitant, but our experience was quite different… we felt the place was cared for and had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a modern, glossy villa this might not be the right match, but if you appreciate an AUTHENTIC house with personality, it’s a lovely spot for a group stay. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic Umbrian Villa!

We are a family of 5 with three small boys (8,6,3) who have just spent an amazing week at Villa Le Macee. Our host Sabrina made sure we had everything we needed, and was always available by phone or text to any questions we had about the local area etc. The villa is set in a beautiful area with amazing views and full privacy. The house itself is very spacious and clean, with enough room to easily accommodate up to 7 people. The grounds are well kept, and the pool and trampoline kept the kids entertained. I'd recommend the villa to any family wanting to prioritise quality time together. Both Todi and Orvieto are reachable within 30 mins drive. There is also several small villages closer by for groceries etc.

Beautiful character property in a stunning setting. Plenty of space for 10 of us over the 2 buildings.Comfortable beds and a cot was provided for the 11 month-old. Additionally a stairgate was installed on request as the main staircase is quite steep. Unfortunately there were only 4 (shaded) sunloungers but no parasols or other chairs around the pool. The kitchen was well-equipped for all our needs and the private chef provided a delicious and plentiful meal for us all on occasion. There is no informatio provided at the property but once communication was established with Nikita we found answers to most questions. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would happily return

Like a Dream!

The villa is picturesquely nestled in the gently rolling hills of Umbria, surrounded by forest and olive groves. The views were breathtaking and made for a postcard-perfect morning. The nearby villages and towns such as Orvietto and Todi were easy to reach and offered ample opportunities for cultural exploration and culinary delights. The villa itself was a gem. With its traditional architecture and attention to detail. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and every detail was thought through. We were particularly impressed with the living and dining area, which was perfect for cozy evenings. The villa had a beautiful pool area and a wonderful garden, ideal for relaxing, sunbathing and playing. A highlight was the large terrace with a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside - the perfect place for al fresco dining. All in all, a great experience!

Relaxing and Secluded

Pros: The location is beautiful and secluded. The countryside is peaceful and picturesque, and the nearby towns are quaint. As mentioned by others, it is definitely remote enough that you will want to have a vehicle for your stay. The grounds are lovely just for relaxing and we loved our days just enjoying time in the sun! We loved Todi, about a 20 min drive, which has a great grocery store, a scenic walk to the top for shopping, and a couple of our favorite restaurants (Ristorante Pizzeria Le Scalette, and Ristorante Pizzeria Cavour le Terrazze).If you have kids with you, there is a little park in Acqualoreto, a quick drive away or about a 20 minute walk.Cons:We can’t speak to a summer stay, but with our 19 day stay starting mid March we were quite chilly in the house, even with 60-70 degree sunny days. The radiators didn’t seem consistent or adequately keep the main house at a comfortable temperature. This may have been an unusual problem for our stay, but we would recommend sweatshirts/sweaters and slippers if you are there for the same time of year. They did bring wood for us to start a fire, but the heat from it was only helpful for the main living room. The internet was unreliable for us and was a problem for my husband’s remote work. When it worked it was fine and if you are just needing it for leisure activity it would be sufficient.

Honest review of beautiful villa

This villa is as beautiful as the photos. It is a very charming old farmhouse, and the views of the rolling hills of Umbria are absolutely stunning. The pool is gorgeous, although we could not use it in May as the weather was not hot enough to heat the pool. Although the listing says they have a hot tub, they do not. This was very disappointing as it was something we wanted. If you are looking for an authentic experience in Umbria, this is it. Positives Very charming, lots of space for a big group in the house and outside so many places to sit and enjoy the views. Can sleep several people. If you are looking for a more remote villa, this will meet your expectations. Things to knowThe house is all stone, so it does not retain any heat. We went in the last 2 weeks of May, and we had a to make a fire almost every night. The amenities provided are basic (one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, sugar & salt). They do not promise anything additional, but the location is quite remote and you have to plan to get things in advance or after you arrive. The cleaning of the kitchen was not great, we had to wash everything from the oven, the dishwasher was full. The overall cleaning of the place was below average. Communication with the manager once they created a whatsapp group was great. Prior we almost cancelled our reservation because we did not get responses for days. That being said, all the children items we asked for were provided (high chairs, cribs etc..)

Disappointing! We only hired this place based on the pictures on the website and the description. Unfortunately the reality is completely different! When we arrived we found a run down and poorly maintained property. The images on the website is not how the place looks today. It was clearly staged for the photo shoots. Do not be fooled!Gården lights broken, jacuzzi/hot tub not working, no pool lights, no welcome note or book of instruction as to how the property works (which is normal in our experience). The showers were in a terrible state and there was extensive water damage on the bathroom floor in the master ensuite. The outdoor seating cushions are stained. The outdoor pool shower is inaccessible due to overgrowth. The kitchen is poorly equipped for anyone who wants to cooking anything more advanced than pasta..! The BBQ area is run down and untidy...felt more like a camping area. The pool pergola has seen better days...and had recently been repaired with the most basic DIY "skills"... There are 5 sun loungers for a house that is supposed to house 11! The trampoline is unsafe and no longer have a safety net around it. We raised our concerns to the owner at an early stage but was ignored. The local agent did arrange for someone to come and change the numerous light bulbs that had gone, and to show us how to turn on the pool lights (down into a dark, damp and scare basement utility room in the back of the garden - filled with old junk. DONT GO!

Dejlig sted med fantastisk udsigt. Skøn pool. God plads inde og ude. Rolige omgivelser. På minussiden virkede airconditionen ikke helt som den skulle, og køkkenet var meget sparsomt udstyret (ikke ift grej men der var ingen olie, krydderier etc). Der var ikke nogen, som der ville være andre steder, flaske med vand mv ved ankomst. Når det er sagt så er det et rigtig dejligt sted!

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique dans la maison de Ivan et sa famille. La région est magnifique et les indications pour arriver à la maison étaient parfaitement claires. La maison était parfaitement équipé pour cuisiner, les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie très bonne et dans un état impeccable. Les espaces extérieurs sont très agréables et la piscine très agréable. Tout est réuni pour passer des vacances inoubliables et nous ne manqueront pas de revenir tant il était difficile de partir.Merci encore à Nikki avec qui la communication a été très fluide.

Vacanza con amici

La struttura è molto bella e capiente. Perfetta per 3 famiglie. Da sistemare aria condizionata non funzionante in alcuni ambienti. Ambienti puliti. Noi arrivati il venerdì pomeriggio, la piscina è stata pulita la mattina del sabato di conseguenza dalle 1030 fino a ora di pranzo non l'abbiamo potuta utilizzare. Questa pulizia andava fatta prima del ns arrivo,non è stato corretto.Nell' insieme è un luogo che ti fa staccare la spina dalla frenesia della vita quotidiana.

Posto incantevole

Partiamo dal contesto: zona bellissima immersa nella natura e nel verde con un market facilmente raggiungibile in auto a 3 min dalla casa. Le case sono tenute bene e così anche gli arredi. Se dovessi fare un appunto, andrebbero sistemati i fuochi (ne andavano solo 2 su 6) e un maggior controllo nella pulizia soprattutto delle mensole in cucina o nelle stanze della depandance in cui erano presenti troppe formiche anche sui letti... Il contatto con l'agenzia è stato molto efficiente e sono intervenuti subito nel sistemare i piccoli problemi (abbiamo prenotato per aprile/maggio e non ci aspettavamo un clima freddo ma abbiamo risolto con l'intervento di Gregory che ci ha portato il pellet e la legna per il camino in pochissimo tempo). La casa merita davvero e le foto sul sito non le rendono giustizia, dal vivo è ancora più bella...

Wonderful holiday villa for a large group/family

Beautiful villa in rural Umbria. We stayed as a large family group (8 adults and one 3 year old) and had a fantastic time. Villa was very spacious & had everything we needed, with good facilities and lovely pool area and separate barbecue area for outside dining/cooking. Villa is in secluded rural setting so very peaceful but does mesan you need a car.
