The House at Libeen is situated 6 miles from Schull on the Mizen Peninsula in an elevated position with wonderful views from all windows over Dunmanus Bay, the Sheeps Head Peninsula, and Mount Gabriel.
It is a cottage style, stone built house in an acre garden which is totally enclosed by old stone walls where wild fuchsia grows in profusion.
The house is light, spacious, and furnished to a very high standard. It is well equipped, and can sleep 6 plus a baby very comfortably. The location is well placed to access Schull, Ballydehob (5 miles), and Baltimore (12 miles) on the Roaring Water Bay side of the peninsula as well as Bantry (7 miles), Glengariff (12 miles) and beyond on the Dunmanus Bay side, all of which have many excellent pubs and gourmet restaurants. The countryside around is beautiful and rugged and is good for hill walking and cycling. There are excellent golf courses in Bantry, Glengariff and Skibbereen plus lovely sandy beaches around Crookhaven and Barley Cove.....and the good news is: We do NOT charge extra for cleaning or utilities, plus wireless broadband is provided free.
Hill Walkers Paradise: Our house is situated in immediate proximity to The South Durrus and Mount Corrin Trail. There are fabulous views along this trail of Dunmanus Bay, Roaring Water Bay and the Mizen Peninsula - a must for those who like walking.
