Beware of this Property - Terrible Experience and Customer Service
We had an absolutely awful experience with this property and owner. In summary, bad communication and we were force to find somewhere else to stay at the last minute.
In October, we booked a 3 night stay with this property between Dec 30 - Jan 2 requesting a slopeside condo. On December 28, we received a call from the property that Jan 2 would no longer be available due to "The Pandemic" and that they would refund our one night , but not offer any discount for the terrible inconvenience. With no other properties available on such short notice, we were told we could take it or leave it. When I tried to message and call back for further information it was impossible to get ahold of anyone and they finally called me back at 10 PM the next night and confirmed no discount would be given. With no other options we accepted the modified reservation. Upon arriving at the property, the management there was not aware of the situation and it was made clear that the company we were working with was another third party through VRBO that had no actual control over the situation. The timeshare company that actually runs this property was apologetic and stated that they do not let tenants rent out to VRBO and they had heard many familiar stories.
The property itself was fine, besides the fact that we requested a first floor slopeside condo and were give a condo that was as far away as possible and had to drive to the lifts to ski.
DO NOT rent with this property. Stay at the lodge or in Boyne City. It's not worth the hassle/frustration for a property that's not even slopeside.
