Located only blocks away from Forsyth park, this rustic, newly renovated, two-story Carriage House in Historic Savannah is a lovely mix of old and new. Perfectly situated in a quiet residential area, you won't compromise location as this home is easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and sightseeing.

Enter through a private entrance off of Gordon Lane, accompanied by your own mudroom, perfect to store umbrellas, jackets, and bikes! Upon accessing you are greeted by handsome decor, exposed brick and beautiful historic beams that give a rustic feel. The living area offers ample seating, along with a 55" Television, and reading lamps located at each end of the sofa. Open to the living space, the kitchen offers every amenity you could hope for, with all modern conveniences that are incorporated into this rustic space. The butcher block counter tops tie the space together with the tasteful marble tiled backsplash. A breakfast nook with seating for two boasts with natural light, perfect for a peaceful morning cup of coffee.

On the second floor you'll find a bedroom with Loom and Leaf Queen size mattress, restored fireplace with original mantle and beautiful calming accents. The bedroom has a large walk-in closet, designed to fit for your belongings for short or extended stays. You'll also find a spare bedroom with a Twin bed, perfect for a third guest, along with a full size stackable washer and dryer tucked away. In the renovated bathroom you'll have plenty of space to get ready for a day out on the town.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect. We rented for the half marathon, and this was walking distance from the starting line at Forsyth park. The property was very clean, nicely decorated and had all of the ammenitites we needed. The only down side was the HVAC system. It seems there aren't any vents that directly heat the downstairs. To make the downstairs warm enough, it made the upstairs bedrooms unbearably warm. Not that big of a deal since we were out of the house most of our stay, but it would have been tricky to navigate had we spent more time there.

This place wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. They did not provide just basic essentials like hand soap to wash our hands. The beds were uncomfortable and the TV did not work. Also, they should get a new key system as we got locked out once. Great location and if you are by yourself and want a deal this might work for you.

Awesome place to stay. Walking access to sosny places. The place is so cute, comfortable and clean. Set up was easy and they communicate through the process to see that you have what you need. If your not aware, Savannah has a lot of pay to park in the Historic District so plan ahead.

The extra bedroom, kitchen, and separate sleeping/living areas offered a nice setup for vacationing with young children, and there was even room to keep a stroller in the vestibule. Our only constructive criticism for the property is that the junior bedroom door does not fully close, and the floors in the living area and kitchen were dirty and the provided vacuum did not work well. The location is fantastic and finding nearby parking (on a weekend) was no issue at all. The information/communications from the management team were clear and helpful.

Excellent location

Overall this place met all our needs. A little cold on the lower floor but otherwise great. Some blankets and throws would have helped. The entrance is on an alley which was not indicated in the online listing. It was perfectly safe, just took us by surprise. My friend and I had ample space to spread out. Response on texts were quick. No parking in front of this unit. We parked about 2 minutes away on the street so not an issue.

Quiet neighborhood right across from parks and sights. Parking is a little weird and not exactly clear, it's on the street and not in the spot that's directly adjacent to the rental but it's all forgivable as the rental itself is very nicely updated and has everything you could ever ask for including spices for cooking which was a nice surprise. All in all very nice id highly recommend

Very cute cottage house in perfect location. Every place is less than 20 min walking distance. Beds comfy. My only suggestion would be to have an entrance in front rather than the back dark alley, especially for women.

We were looking for something a bit historic but comfortable for a child and a dog and this was very good for our purposes. The information provided by Lucky Savannah was comprehensive and provided most of the information we needed. I did a little research on parking and read other reviews to understand Savannah parking rules. It wasn't difficult to find a parking spot; however, most spaces around the rental are 2 hour time limit. We ended up moving the car to the Liberty St. parking garage for overnight. The unit itself was nicely decorated and comfortable. It's an older building so you have to appreciate some of the charm. The alley was very quiet with little through traffic. There is no access to a courtyard or attached green space but you are a block from Forsyth Park and Chatham Square. We brought our dog and it was easy to walk him and find green spaces. The location was ideal for getting to Liberty St. and the Broughton St. shopping area if you are able to walk a bit. We did not use the kitchen much as we were excited to try different restaurants in Savannah. Overall, it was a great home base while we were out exploring most of the day.
