Over the Moon is an Oceanfront 3-bedroom, 3.5 bath house with fantastic views. Located in Kure Beach just 8 blocks from downtown and the pier. Relax and enjoy the sounds of the ocean, the beautiful sunrise, or enjoy a short walk to the pier. The spacious living area w/ flat screen tv is located on the main floor along with the dining area, updated kitchen, and 1/2 bath. This is a home you and your family are sure to love!

Beautiful property

Overall stay was well worth it! One thing that was my fault was not considering the steps to get around in the house! It makes it hard on old people like myself to get settled in! Totally my fault for not considering that one detail!

Kure beach

Property was exactly as described in description. Very clean and had everything one would need. I would suggest in getting some plastic drinking glasses for outside use. Excellent trip!

The best home away from home!

We had a wonderful stay at Over the Moon. We loved it so much in June we immediately rebooked for August. The home is clean bright & spacious. Carolina retreats is the best, we had car trouble and they helped guide us to a mechanic who took great care of us. Any questions were addressed immediately. And we couldn’t be happier with the house and our hosts!

Wonderful stay

Nice house with wonderful beach. House does have lots of stairs but who cant use the exercise!! Large kitchen and living room area was nice on 2nd floor, master BR and 2nd BR w/bunks is on 3rd floor while 3rd BR is on 1st floor. FYI, grill is charcoal only. Pier was a short bike ride (4 blocks) and teenagers did plenty of fishing. Beach area was not crowded even with the public access so close. Love being able to use our canopy tents and not fighting with umbrellas. Would recommend to anyone.

Amazing House

We had the pleasure of staying at "Over the Moon" for a winter beach vacation. It was an amazing house with breath taking views. It was impeccably clean and perfect for our family of 5. The location was great as we were close to both Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher. Our kids love the Aquarium at Fort Fisher, which was 5 min down the road. They were in heaven! The drive into Wilmington was easy as well. The weather wasn't too great when we were there. We were stuck inside for a few days but the view of the ocean was all we needed. We would highly recommend this beach house to anyone and everyone!

great stay

this was a wonderful house. clean and well stocked. only complaint- the oven door wouldn't close when we got there. called prop mgmt and they sent someone out to fix but oven needed to be replaced. he was supposed to come back with temporary solution but never did. we had to keep a chair against the oven for it to cook.

Semi-comfortable

We absolutely loved the location of the home and being able to walk right out to the beach. It is a short walk/drive to the Kure pier and dining, a short drive to the Carolina beach board walk and we did take the ferry to visit the town of Southport. The area is not very biker friendly. The house itself left a few things to be desired. Some furnishing and fixtures are outdated, which I think made the house feel dirty. We are a family of 4. We have a teenager and preteen and we found we were not comfortable in the living room watching a movie together. The beds were not the comfiest. There was plenty of eating space. There was not a dustpan to be found to sweep up any sand tracked in. Each bathroom hardly had any hand soap left and that was not one of the items listed to bring therefore we did not come supplied with any. There was not a trash bag in the kitchen trash can when we arrived. The home has both a kuerig and a coffee pot that uses #4 filters. The view however was amazing and we did spend most of our time on the beach! I would stay again, but if I could recommend anything a large sectional sofa and a king size bed with a nice mattress would have made the stay amazing!

We are over the moon for Over The Moon!

We enjoyed a great long weekend with my parents and our 3 kids. The view from the main floor is truly unbeatable. The home was beautiful, well appointed, and clean. We loved being able to have our own private access to the beach as well as its location near the aquarium and fort fisher. We were also a short drive to the grocery store and restaurants. We would love to return to this property in the future!

Beautiful house on a quiet beach.

Looking for a relaxing beach vacation? This house is the perfect location. Private direct access to the beach, away from the crowds, room to stretch out and still close enough to shopping, restaurants and entertainment! Every bedroom has perfect storage to unpack and feel at home. Plenty of bathrooms to get everyone cleaned up quickly after spending the day at the beach and on to the next adventure. The views from the living area and back deck are great!

Fabulous Beach House

My family and I simply loved "Over the Moon". The house was extremely comfortable for our party of 5. Common area of kitchen and family room is large, beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need. Fully stocked kitchen made cooking a delight. Bedrooms were perfect and separate baths for everyone is always a plus. The only thing better than this lovely home is the SPECTACULAR VIEW !! Highly recommended this gem of a beach house.

Delightful oceanfront house!

We had a wonderful vacation here. Over the Moon is immaculate with comfortable beds & furniture, and the kitchen is beautifully stocked. Best of all is the fabulous view - we watched birds and dolphins, the ever changing water and sky, and enjoyed walking on the sand. Highly recommended!

Over the Moon - highly recommended

My family and I stayed in Over the Moon while visiting Kure Beach for 4 nights this February. The fact that the winter weather kept us in more than we would have liked was softened by the comforts of this house -- the view of the ocean from the warmth of the family room more than made up for this. The house was outstanding and comfortable for a family of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids) with room to spare. Comfortable sleeping arrangements and obviously close access to the beach won us over while the open kitchen (with a view of the beach) served us well during meal times. Being a birder and nature enthusiast, I was pleased to have Fort Fisher State Rec Area less than mile away. There are a few great trails there as well as an aquarium which the kids (and adults) loved. We also took an enjoyable ferry ride to South Port and explored Carolina Beach State Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Over the Moon and highly recommend it!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Kure Beach. The house is spotless and comfortable. There was ample room for four adults and three children under six. My favorite bedroom with a bath was downstairs away from all the chaos above. ( I am a grandmother and need to hide now and then) The big picture window looks out over the dunes and gives a panaramic view of the beach, which is very easy to access. We are an active bunch and took advantage of the acquarium, which is world class, and the herpitorium. Even if you don't like snakes, this place is fascinating. It has snakes from all over the world, displayed well. The town of Kure Beach is charming with nice restaurants and nice people. Wilmington is not to miss. There is a trolly that takes you on a tour and gives you a good idea of this beautiful city.Have a great time at over the moon. We did.
