Welcome to the Historic Edna Farmhouse, an exclusive farmstay retreat. This historic home built in 1908 is located on two private, secluded acres in the heart of San Luis Obispo's Edna Valley Wine Country. This three suite, one bath vacation rental farmhouse that sleeps six has been lovingly restored to make your stay in Edna Valley Wine Country a memorable experience. The location is very quiet, rural and relaxing with 360-degree vineyard and garden views. A fully equipped country kitchen and outdoor BBQ facilities round out your accommodations, but only hint at the experience to come. Its one-of-a-kind location allows wine tasting by foot, bike, car or just relaxation.

Rarely do you find a place where the pictures completely match the actual location and experience. This is one of those places that is so outstanding for the first few minutes you are there you don’t believe it. Absolutely outstanding.

We loved our stay at the Old Edna Farmhouse! The surrounding grounds are beautiful! Full of charm and gorgeous flowers. And the tasting room is just across the lawn! Incredible location. We will definitely return!

We stayed as part of an annual girl trip with 5 women. The farmhouse has a charming look in a convenient location to San Luis Obispo and the surrounding area. It was not exactly as we had expected, starting with an alarm issue at checkin. The house is quite full of lots and lots of vintage decor. There were several basic maintenance issues: we couldn't seem to get the air conditioning to get cool, the coffee maker leaked, the stove didn't light, it lacked basic supplies like toilet paper, etc. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. We wish we had been around during the time the tasting room was open and could have enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting.

The spot was fantastic, we loved the location. Check in was great, had everything we needed and a ton of history. Sextant winery was great wine too!

We booked a year in advance, knowing we had a senior graduating from SLI, and were glad we did. Just a perfect spot to gather with friends and family

We loved the area

The farmhouse was beautiful. There was a lot of Kitsch. But we loved the place and the outdoors and the overall area.

House was historic and rustic. The garden was beautiful and the winery next store very nice. There were some things that would have made our stay more enjoyable. Salt, pepper, olive oil. Silverware enough to set a table and clean cookware that was not damaged. We rented the farm home because we had young children and needed the kitchen to be fully functional. There was nothing at all to cook with season wise and like I mentioned the pots and pans were dirty and damaged. Bring your own laundry detergent and shampoo and conditioner as well as body soap. There are also many many breakable antiques everywhere throughout the house that we had to move out of the way so that we and our children did not bump anything over and break. Maybe one too many beautiful heirlooms.

Enchanting and whimsical

This house was just lovely, the house itself had everything we needed and was beautifully styled I felt like I was a part of history! The outdoor spaces were gorgeous and proximity to town was perfect. Would definitely come back to stay here. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Wonderful place to stay

We stayed as a family of four and enjoyed the abundant space inside and outside the Farm House. Rustic charm aplenty. Easy to get to and from, whether you come from SLO or Pismo Beach. We had one request during our stay, and Chris the property manager was very responsive. Definitely would recommend a stay at the Old Edna Farm House!

Wish I owned this place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This house took me back in time. Love the antiques and historic vibe. It is a beautiful and peaceful property. Wish I could stay longer. We will definitely be back! The winery is an added bonus.

Nice Escape Right Outside SLO

The property is really unique. The house is truly a historic landmark. It was neat to experience it and spend time on the property. The wives were able to do some wine tasting at Sextant and it was so nice being all on site. The house is located just outside of SLO and an easy 10 minute drive to downtown.

Family weekend get away

Beautiful Victorian farmhouse, felt like my grandmothers home. Very nice and comfortable. Loved the open bright feel. Well maintained. My niece visited with her 2 year old and he loved exploring the property. Close to everything but feels far away. The winery was awesome, great experience all around.

We had a very lovely stay. The beautifully preserved house has a winery in the front yard. The property manager was very helpful when we had questions. There is a more road noise than we expected and there wasn’t a dishwasher. Both are manageable. Once the winery closes for the day, it was just us and the ocasional guest at the other guest house on the property. Thank you for a great stay!

Historic Edna

Our stay was wonderful!! the home and environment was lovely- just as the pictures show! Beds very comfortable! The winery was great also- got some history on Edna Valley! We only had trouble finding it -coming from our direction- the home is on one side of the winery and kind-of hidden with the beautiful trees and grounds. We would/will come again when able. Barbara

Most beautiful farmhouse ever!

When we first walked into the house, I thought I was dreaming! Every detail in the decor was spot-on. The ball n claw bathtub was amazing, and the bed was very comfortable. There are 3 beautiful bedrooms and even a room to put on your make up, do your hair, etc.. The kitchen had everything we needed. The house is on a winery, and they are super nice with great wines and small plates, try the chicken panini and homemade soup! I would definitely recommend and stay again! Thank you for hosting!

Magical location

The grounds were beautiful. Vineyards and historic buildings surround the house. With flowers and fruit trees everywhere. The house is very close to the tasting room, which didn’t bother us at all. We had a wonderful tasting with the whole family. The service was fantastic as well as delicious wine and food. My husband and I came with our grown children and my mothers. We were in the area for my youngest daughter’s graduation. The distance was no problem. We drove back and forth to many events. We had plenty of private space behind the house to have our friends come out for a brunch after the ceremony. The house manager and winery staff were very kind and accommodating to all our needs and very prompt with our requests. I have never left a review before, but had such a nice experience that I thought I should take the time to do so.

Beautiful historic home!

Our family loved staying at this historic home. I was initially worried about the single bathroom but it worked out well since there were other places in the home for my daughter and I to get ready with the additional sitting room. The home was a shabby chic dream, and had air conditioning and heat which was an unexpected surprise. We had one small issue with the stove repeatedly throwing the breaker and the property manager immediately returned my call and had an electrician out within the hour to remedy the problem. There was a charcoal grill in the back porch that we used as well. We enjoyed the free wine tasting adjacent to the property too while having lunch there. The home was close enough to downtown for daily trips but felt a world away. My son loved exploring the grounds and the older buildings around the property. The home had a large wrap around yard with a table outside for dining and multiple outdoor sitting areas to enjoy the scenery.
