Take a walk on the beach in the moonlight, even better, during a rare blue moon! The Blue Moon Beach house allows you to indulge in a unique mix of mid-century modern dƩcor snuggled inside a rustic log home! With stunning views of the rolling waves and ever changing sky, this cozy home is perfect for a romantic getaway or a family retreat. Situated on an oceanfront lot with easy beach access, you will be tempted to enjoy long strolls on miles of sandy beach.

This three bedroom, two bath home has a spacious living/dining room where you can enjoy a family gathering. The large loft, with a sleeper sofa for extra sleeping space, has a sitting area for watching television, a table to sit and play games, and a fantastic view of the ocean to watch for whales. The multi game table will keep you entertained as you choose between playing pool, ping pong, or air hockey.

A grassy space next to the house gives you plenty of room to set up outside games or picnic in the grass. The path to the beach is a very short walk through the shore pines where you will find a sandy beach for building sand castles and searching for shells and agates! This home is perfectly located on the central Oregon coast where you can explore all the fabulous parks, forest trails, and beaches.

Sleeps 6: 2 Kings (both can be split in to two twins with 72 hours prior notice), 1 Queen, 1 Sleeper Sofa; 2 Baths.
Vehicles: Licensed for 4 (Strictly enforced- No street parking allowed)
Winter: 2 night minimum Standard & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum.

Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision.
*Each home is individually owned. Amenities and furnishings are subject to change at any time. Please contact our office with any questions.

This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. Dogs are welcome at this home but must be registered in advance and paid prior to arrival. This home has a 3-dog maximum occupancy! Pet Guests: One time $35+tax fee per dog. Pet fees are not included in the original reservation.

House is great and the location is superb!Kitchen is the only downside, a new set of pots and pans would be ideal and there is no dishwasher. Kids loved the pool/ping-pong table. We enjoyed our time there!!

Great 10 day escape

Enjoyed the property, loved the beach access and outdoor space. The property amenities were great and the homes space was perfect for our gatherings. Would suggest in the future that the BQ be cleaned with adequate propane and a current tank. Yard was never mowed during our visit and had some mice problems that created issues with our dogs. Overall it was a great time and very much enjoyed the seclusion .

Beautiful private property with beach access

My family, dog, and I had an amazing stay at this property. The place was really stylish, had plenty of fun things to do, a great hot tub, and direct access to the beach. I would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay in Blue Moon.

Walking for miles on the big beautiful beach right out of the yard. Fabulous! The property was rustic, clean, spacious and comfortable. The only negative was the back bedrooms were quite dark. We all had difficulty seeing our cloths etc.

Decline on the coast

We have stayed the last few years in a handful of places near Yachats. They are all managed by Sweet Homes. In general, all of the homes were run down. I might say a bit shabby. In addition the management has chosen to really go low grade on supplies with frustrating foaming hand soap pumps (not ideal for kids) and other low quality products. In this house, in particular, the kitchen sink faucet was in dire need of repair. Since there was no dishwasher, we did need to use that faucet. We got no response when asking about it or requesting fresh towels.

Disappointed

Cons: 5pm check in - and when we arrived about 15 minutes early we got to wait in the rain as the lock wouldn't unlock until exactly 5. (At a minimum they should have automatically unlocked it at 4:30) Contacted the 800 number the day before and left a message. No response. Very poor road signage - difficult to find and the building itself didn't have address numbers. No ice in the Freezer and had to request ice trays which they brought over the following day. Kitchen - definitely needs an upgrade. No dishwasher, very few amenities. When we arrived it was 56 degrees in the house - took hours to warm up. County turned off the water for 6 hours - we were notified after the water was turned off but it wasn't fun not being able to use the facilities. Pros: Great view Hot tub The bed in one room was very comfortable.

Beautiful Comfortable stay on the beach!

We were very happy with the home. Very clean, comfortable and right on the beach. We did have a little delay getting into the property as the wifi coded keypad was not cooperating. The property manager was very helpful and personally came out and got it corrected. We were extremely happy with our rental. Only drawback was the hot tub was not working.

Perfect beach home

The home was perfect for days when we felt like relaxing by the beach. It was also conveniently located for visiting all the sights we wanted to see. The home was clean and the showers had great water pressure. It ended up being a perfect beach home for my family vacation!

Restful Retreat!

We needed a peaceful beautiful place for a relaxing family vacationā€¦ this was perfect! With a gorgeous view of the ocean, comfortable living spaces, well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of games and puzzles for entertainmentā€¦ we loved our stay!! We spent many hours on the beachā€¦ walking, playing with our dogs, and flying kitesā€¦ very private and quiet. Yachats is a quaint, small townā€¦ We found incredible fresh seafood to prepare at home, a delicious bakery, and cute coffee shop. We especially appreciated the small pool table/ping pong upstairsā€¦ hours of fun! The hot tub was a nice touch as well!! We will definitely come back!

Fun on an excellent beach

In summary, three of us and our two dogs enjoyed a remarkable three days on the beach in Yachats. The drought gave us picture perfect weather and the beach was pristine except for the litter of crab shells churned up by the restless surf.

Amazing location, great views!

We went on a family vacation on the Oregon Coast and this property was the perfect home base! Wonderful beach, views and hot tub - the game room was a plus to keep the kids happy! The beds and bedding was so comfy and we all slept great. The only thing missing was a dishwasher. We had a FABULOUS vacation, would book again!!
