Beautiful VILLA SEAGULL in Silver Sands Beach Resort 3 bedroom 3.5 baths

Villa Seagull is an ocean view, 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home with large covered veranda overlooking the ocean and quiet rear patio with extensive garden area. There is well equipped kitchen and the services of accomplished chef. ( A 15 percent tip after your stay is always appreciated) The home is filled with Jamaican art and artifacts.

Seagull is located in Silver Sands Estates which is comprised of approximately 110 ocean view properties and is a gated community. It has lovely white sand beach, is ideal for families, and is very laid back and relaxing area. Next to Silver Sands is Fisherman's Beach where one can go to buy fish, meet and buy from the local craftsmen or go to Leroy's Beach Bar which is an institution in itself. Silver Sands is located a mile outside of Duncans in the Parrish of Trelawny, and is approximately 30 minutes from Montego Bay.

The owner can recommend day trips, sightseeing in the general area or give suggestions island wide for different destinations.

For the Holiday season starting 10 days before Christmas and ending 3 days after new year's day please contact owner for rates. Rates are typically higher for Christmas and New Years weeks, Easter week, Independence Day in Jamaica, Heroes Day, so again, kindly contact the owner.

Owner will accept 2 night bookings on a limited basis and it is best to contact the owner regarding availability.

Villa Seagull is a lovely home with gorgeous views steps away from the beach! Our stay was made all the more relaxing and memorable bcuz of the cook and housekeeper who were attentive and exquisite hosts! We plan to return!

So relaxing!

The property and staff is all that it seems. The house was very homey, and spacious. The balcony was so enjoyable for meals and relaxing with such a beautiful view. The cooking was amazing and the staff was ever so helpful. I would recommend this property without hesitation.

Loved our stay at Seagull

Relaxing beach retreat! Beautiful views from the verandah and wonderful sea breezes. Walkway (steps) down to beach is right at the end of the driveway. Owner was responsive and great to work with. Having a cook and housekeeper included was a wonderful bonus! Would highly recommend.

a special place!

Lulled to sleep by the sound of the Sea, a spectacular garden of orchids, fruit trees and birds; excellent, caring staff and a cozy, well-kept, art-filled home make a stay here truly special. . .the staff prepare wonderful meals - they are attentive but not intrusive - a 180 degree view of the Caribbean from your dining table and very easy access to the beach makes this a perfect home to stay in at Silver Sands. . .

Beautiful Location

The house is lovely with plenty of space inside and out. The community felt safe and the private beach was a plus. There was construction but Trudie called ahead of time to let us know. We were there to work in a nearby community so there was no issue. The staff were amazing. The only thing I'd like to mention is the staff onsite is not optional. But Trudie was very gracious with us.

Great Vacation Home

This is a home, not just a vacation villa. The artistic personal touches are wonderful and made it feel very homey! The bed is super comfortable. I stayed in another villa that was very nice but the beds were terrible. So a comfortable bed is very important. The view is beautiful and the location is ideal. Cheryl the cook was very good. The owner was excellent with communication. Highly recommend.

We loved our time at Seagull. Cherly and Joan were amazing - they made great food and were so very kind to us and our 4 kids. Trudie is very responsive and gave great advice for who to call for transportation and ideas for day trips! Beautiful home with a very short walk to an amazing beach. Thank you!

Love Seagull!!

Thank you Trudie for having us at your home. We had a great vacation stay at your villa. The villa has all the comforts of home with a beautiful ocean view from the front porch making it a great place to eat and hang out. The beach is just a short walk from the villa. It is quiet and private, clean kept with friendly staff. Special thank you to Cheryl for taking good care of us. She is an amazing cook, made fresh and delicious meals. I highly recommend this villa for those looking for a quiet, relaxing beach vacation.

Why first visit to Jamaica

I want to thank Trudie Webster for the wonderful job she made for her guests. We had one of our best vocations staying at her house in Silver Sands Jamaica in March 2019. The location was very convenient, just a couple minutes walking to the beach, the gorgeous ocean view form the front porch, where we spend most of our time. It is quiet, private and comfortable villa, good to stay for 2 families together. My special thanks is for the host, Sheryl, who cooked and took care of us. The food was always fresh and tasty, the service had been done with grace and warmth. our 5-year-old son had a good time with her too. The beach is amazingly clean and safe, also there are a bar and community house where we were experiencing nice and fun local events additionally to the cocktail testing. I'd recommend to stay in Trudie's villa for everyone who is seeking privacy and comfort for a reasonable price.

Charming home!

Cheryl and Molly are wonderful. Freshly ironed pillow cases, delicious food! Both of these women are eager to please and lovely to be around. The home is filled with an interesting collection of eclectic art and is immaculately maintained. Breathtaking beach is right down the hill. Silver Sands is a friendly and safe neighborhood. The only drawback is that you are an expensive taxi ride to restaurants and attractions. Many people would appreciate the quiet, laid back life style.

We love Villa Seagull!

Me and my husband, Michael have gone for many many years and always stay at Villa Seagull. There is a reason for that. Not only is the Villa close to the beach but we always feel like we are coming home. The house is wonderful and inviting and the food that the staff cooks for you, is amazing!! Home cooked Jamaican style! Trudie the owner is a wonderful host, and very special person! It is truly a very special and magical place to go if you want the real vibe of Jamaica!! Sheer Relaxation

We stayed at Seagull for 9 days and had a fantastic time. Seagull is a wonderful property at Silver Sands with easy access to the beach, the bar, the convenience store and other property amenities. The tropical breezes kept the house very comfortable throughout the day. Although, when we were at the house, we spent almost all our time on the front porch taking in the sweeping views of the ocean from the hammock we brought with us. Do bring insect repellent because when the wind dies down in the evening, the mosquitoes come out! For that reason, we appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms for sleeping at night. Cheryl was very accommodating in terms of mealtimes, menu selections and accommodating our picky 4-year old. Every meal was different and delicious and included lots of local favorites. Molly went above and beyond in taking care of the home and seeing to our needs. Both Cheryl and Molly are a wealth of knowledge should you want to travel around the island, hire a driver, go to the market, find fresh fish or just learn more about Jamaica and its culture. Most of all Cheryl and Molly are exceptionally kind, caring and generous and made us feel truly cared for. Trudie was a wonderful hostess and generously answered all our questions as we prepared for our trip. We would definitely return to Silver Sands and would love the chance to stay at Seagull again!

Best house in Silver Sands

I’ve been coming to Silver Sands for almost 20 years. In that time, I have stayed at several different homes…until I found Seagull Cottage. Now, we only stay at Seagull. Let me tell you why. The owner of the house is meticulous in how she takes care of the home. It feels like a real home at the beach, rather than a hotel or random vacation rental. Seagull is in a prime location in the Silver Sands property. The views from the front veranda are beautiful and sweeping, with a perfect sea breeze all day. The house is spacious and we love the updates we see every year, the turquoise tile in the renovated bathroom, the new local Jamaican art work on the walls, and the additions to the book collection, which are perfect beach reads. Now, the best parts of course, are the ladies who work there, Cheryl and Molly. They are generous, sweet and kind and wonderful with our two young daughters. They cook like a dream and we are picky with our food and have dietary restrictions. I also tend to visit for my birthday, and they never fails to make it feel extra special with their great cooking, and lovely birthday cake. There are other newer, bigger homes at Silver Sands, but I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now that I have found Seagull. If you are looking for a truly relaxing vacation, comfortable, welcoming beach cottage with amazing views – then you will love Seagull.

Tranquil Cottage in Paradise

We loved our time at Seagull. The first thing I'd to say is that the pictures have to be updated. The house is just lovely. Recently painted (loved the colors white & turquise family). The furniture has been updated as well. The house was well stocked with everything needed. Views: Awesome!!! You can see the sunrise and the sunset from the veranda. I loved sitting out there with my red strip in hand and watching the fishermen go out to sea. Watching the colors come alive in the ocean. Watching and listending to the birds (doctor birds were my favorite). I even enjoyed the little lizards that joined me on occassion. Great breeze off the ocean. The veranda is really nicely decorated as well as the rest of the house. Loved the pictures, especially the ones of the locals of Silver Sands. And least I forget the views to the oceans from the two front bedrooms. Wow!!! Location: The steps to the beach are to your right when you leave the property. 2 minute walk to the beach. The steps could be a challenge but you could consider renting a golf cart or taking the roaad down to the beach - about a six minute walk. There was a security guard that sat not to far away from the house every night. I felt very safe. Service: Ms. Sheryl is a real gem. She took great care of us. She was a great cook. I really missed her this week :-) All you have to do is let her know what you want. Very pleasant. Oh and Sheryl, I forgot my pimento leaf. You know I was sick when I realized it. Next year!!! You must have her make you pork chops and I loved her banana bread. Why the 5 Stars: This is a great budget friendly place that has been recently updated. It is really nice with lovely views. The beds were comfortable and the house was kept emmaculate. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family. The owner was great to work with. Location!!! I absolutely love Silver Sands. You have to go and experience it for yourself. Recommendations: Have a menu in mind when you get there so that Sheryl can assist you in your purchases. Come with a open mind and show respect for your host and you will have a great time. Thank you again for the use of your villa. I truly enjoyed my time there.
