Stylish condo just steps from the Arkansas River! Just outside the front door, take a short walk down the paved riverfront path to Riverside park, downtown dining, and shopping. There is a master suite on the street level with a queen bed, walk-in closet, and a private bathroom. The second bedroom is upstairs, on the main level, with a queen over queen bunk bed and a walk-in closet. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer/dryer in the unit. There are views of the mountains that surround Salida out most windows. In case you need a night in, there is high speed internet and board games. This is our family's weekend getaway, we bring our kids here to enjoy getting out into nature. At this time, we do not have a TV. Please, NO pets and NO smoking.

Annual family getaway

The property was beautiful. . The location was in a great proximity to downtown. It had lots of windows and a second story balcony to enjoy the gorgeous mountain evenings. Having a garage was a bonus but the A/C was most appreciated. The water pressure in the showers was awesome! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Fun in Salida

This was the perfect location for my trip. I could see the mountains and even a sliver of the river from the porch. It's close enough to town to walk everywhere, but also far enough away to be incredibly quiet. The condo was clean, and since we were there for a cycling event the spacious garage was a big bonus. Traci communicated well prior to our arrival and this is definitely a 5 star review!

Clean, close to downtown, close to road

Great little townhome. It was clean and affordable. Loved the little air conditioner. We barely used it on the morning we left because it was cooler while we were there but I couldn't imagine not having it during the hotter months. This may or may not effect people but it is close to the main road and the sound of loud trucks would wake us every morning. Not terrible but a little annoying. We did love walking into town. The property is at the tail end of the trail to walk into town, so that was great! My kids didn't love the queen bunks. The room is big enough that I think a queen bed and twin bunks (for little kids) would have been nicer. Overall great!

Big Price - Big Disappointment

One of the reasons we decided to stay at this property was because of the garage. Unfortunately due to items and small storage shed in garage, we couldn’t utilize it. Our vehicle wouldn’t fit. The kitchen isn’t outfitted well. There is not a toaster or even a cookie sheet. The décor is less than desirable - it is more like a college dorm. It doesn’t feel warm and it doesn’t represent the Salida feel. The master bedroom downstairs use to be a bunk bed. Currently it’s a double stacked mattress and you slide over the top rail of the bunk bed frame. In every room there are reminders of the house rules and it feels very elementary. For the amount of money spent, my expectations weren’t met. The location is great. That is the only positive I can leave.

Hi Dustin, I'm sorry that your stay was less than desirable. Our Salida condo is our home away from home and we stay there, with our children, multiple times each month. We are able to park our crew cab truck in the garage, it is a tight fit, but it works for us. I will be adding a toaster to the kitchen, but there are at least two cookie sheets in the cabinet to the right of the dishwasher. We purchased most of the condo decor in Salida....supporting local artists. We try to be fair and competitive with our pricing, but Salida has recently increased taxes on short term rentals quite substantially and that is reflected in our prices. We also pay our cleaning staff a livable wage. Again, I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. I would have been more than happy to address some of your concerns had you reached out to me during your stay. I hope your future travels are happy. Traci Property Manager and Owner

Great location, nice neighbors, clean

We had a good experience with this property. We love the location and had the room we needed for our family. We also had great communication with the property manager. May need to consider the number of people staying in the condo and accommodate that with toilet paper/paper towels (6 people.. 2 rolls toilet paper and one roll of paper towels for 10 days.. ) Also, maybe a toaster.. these are little things, but just for future renters. We will be back to beautiful Salida! Thanks!!

Great Location & Comfortable

I was in Salida on a solo trip and decided to do VRBO vs. staying at a hotel. The location of the condo is great--just a 5 minute walk from downtown Salida. The property manager is easy to contact and was very helpful when I had questions or an issue. A couple of things to consider. If you are traveling during the summer, the unit does not have central air (however there is a wall-mounted AC unit upstairs). Summer days in Salida can get rather hot, but the evenings are pleasant (meaning that you have to sleep with the windows open). There is not a television, so bring a laptop or tablet if you want to catch-up on your favorite movies or shows. I enjoy chilling in front of the TV after playing in the sun all day, so I was a tad bit disappointed that there was not one available. First world issue...so not a huge deal. Overall, I enjoyed staying here and would recommend this condo and location.

Hi Joseph, Thank you for your review. I'm glad you had a great stay. Our Salida condo is our home away from our busy lives so we have not added a TV (we have posted this in the description of our condo). Many places in Colorado do not have central air because it is very cool (average in the low 50's) at night in the summer. We have multiple fans (including ceiling fans) that help circulate the cool outside air at night. Thank you again for your review. I hope all your future travels are happy. Great location, perfect layout

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at this condo. The layout was great for two adults and two children. The location was convenient to downtown shops and restaurants and the garage parking was great for the cold mornings.

Nice place in Salida!

We rented this property for three nights to ski Monarch over president’s day weekend. It was very clean and the lay out is great for privacy. Big bedroom downstairs with nice bathroom/walk-in closet and another big bedroom/walk-in closet upstairs with queen bunk, family room, organized kitchen and washer/dryer. Pretty views of mountains from living room. Close to riverwalk and nice downtown area of Salida. Property owner is very responsive and helpful. Attached garage was fantastic during the cold days. We would book again!

Great stay!

We had a short weekend in Salida and loved how close this home was from downtown. We walked everywhere! The only thing we wish was different was that there was an actual master bedroom with a queen/king bed. The only beds are larger bunk beds. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves! Thanks again!
