Do not let this ranch style home fool you by the pics,,All modern kitchen and appliances,,,with wide open rooms inside.The Streamside Cabin retreat is a wonderful place to sit by the flowing Big Bushkill stream, have your own campfire, and enjoy exquisite nature with family or friends. The cabin has 3 bedrooms and a futon with 2 full bathrooms. Open kitchen and dining Room with all new stainless appliances, will give you the comfort of home. Do not let pictures of house confuse you.This ranch house is 80ft long,,,and hard to take a good picture. We have very spacious bedrooms,, huge eat in kitchen.This property is extremely private,CLOSE TO SHAWNEE SKI AND TUBING AREA,,AND CAMEL BACK,, , but close enough to other activities and shopping. The Bushkill stream is a stocked trout stream which is great fishing from April till July. You can also enjoy tubing down the stream with our tubes.You have your own fire-pit area right at the stream,by the most beautiful spot on The Big Bushkill Stream. We provide your firewood, propane, WI-Fi, bed linens. and PAPER PRODUCTS..When you are ready to CHILL,and unwind,this is definitely the PLACE!!! 10 reasons to book HERE:1. The cabin was perfect for what we needed for a ski weekend at Shawnee Mt. It had 3 bedrooms (1 for my son and daughter-in-law, 1 for 3 grandchildren & 1 for me). It was only 15 minutes from Shawnee and close to other businesses. It had TV, wifi, kitchen with all that we needed. The host was in contact with me via text to keep me updated on the weather and roads - this was much appreciated. Thanks

This cabin was a perfect place for my family to get away for Thanksgiving. It was a great spot for our whole group, which included 5 adults, a baby, and a dog. Harris was a very helpful and responsive host. We had everything we needed and would stay again without a doubt. The fishing opportunities right from the property were also a great bonus

We had a lovely trip to this cabin in the woods! We enjoyed the coziness of the home and the beautiful scenery surrounding it.
We enjoyed lots of campfires near the river. Great to relax and listen to nature.

Great size cabin, clean and accommodating. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the fall foliage exploring nearby mountain sites. A couple nights relaxing at the stream was just divine with warmth from the fire pit on a cool fall evening.

Set up practically. You could tell they had imagined all scenarios. Directions for household appliance use well placed. Furniture comfortable. Creekside comfortable. Scenery to die for. Visual banquet of flora. Nice walking path. Wonderful treat

We stayed 4 nights. It was quiet and peaceful. The house was very nice and quite large. The stream and fire pit was just steps away. We spent a lot of time just relaxing there. Our dog loved going in the water. Harris took very good care of us!! I would definitely stay there again!

Harris was friendly and helpful, and came over to greet us when we arrived. Everything was as stated, weather was perfect and we all had an awesome stay. We appreciate a dog friendly rental - our dog had a blast splashing in the water and sniffing around the woods. We saw deer, a weasel, and an eagle that flew over us each evening as we sat at the campfire and listened to the sound of the water. Thank you, Harris!

Harris was great to work with and was able to point us to some good fishing spots on the creek. We had a fire each day down by the creek and there was plent of wood ready to go.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay! The streamside is just a few short steps away. My family and dogs loved sitting by the stream. We enjoyed the firepit at night, making smores and playing boardgames. Our host, Harrison, was very attentive. It was a perfect, peaceful getway.

Lovely spot in the Poconos.

Wonderful stay. The river/creek proximity to the firepit area is hard to beat and our family enjoyed the peacefulness of the cabin and surrounding community. Harris was excellent with plenty of suggestions on getting the most from our time there!

If you're looking to get away to unwind and recharge in the mountains, this is your place! I'd be remiss had I not mentioned that steps away is a river to go fishing, swimming, tubing, or to just enjoy a great fire with friends and family. The house is more than spatious, which includes an enclosed screen porch, allowing you to enjoy nature's music. Peaceful quiet relaxation. The stream in front of the property was great. We spent a lot of time decompressing from everyday life. House is as described and is much bigger than the pictures. Added touches of the extras was very nice (coffee, tubes, rods, paper items etc). We enjoyed our time at the cabin.

Great location!

This house was a perfect fit our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 8-9) - there was plenty of space, and the location was amazing (fire pit right on the creek across the small road from the cabin). The kids had a blast swimming and tubing in the creek and roasting marshmallows by the fire. Harris even gave us suggestions on local places to hike!

Relax and recharge

Great place to escape from the real world, but close enough to attractions and restaurants, if needed. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't all that cooperative, and we didn't get as much streamside relaxation that we would have liked. However, the cabin has heat and AC, and we needed both! Or you could sit on the covered/screened-in porch when the rain is falling. We had everything we needed. Please note that there wasn’t a Mr. Coffee as pictured in the listing. There is a Keurig and a percolator (which my husband knew how to use!). We had a visitor for breakfast one morning. He made quite the mess but was exciting to see! We also saw many deer, two other bears along our travels and also a turkey. This was our second trip to the Poconos and if we return to the area, we’ll definitely contact Harris!

Highly Recommend

Had a great stay, wish I could have stayed longer! The fire pit by the creek was the most beautiful view. We were fortunate enough to see a bald eagle fly right over the creek. The host was very nice, responsive and accommodating. I will definitely be back at some point.

Peace in the Poconos!

We visited Streamside for a quiet Memorial Say weekend. Everything was as advertised. The setting is beautiful, and the property was clean and spacious. We grilled one night and enjoyed the sounds of the creek we will be back!

Stream lake cabin was surreal.

I needed a quick get away from the city, and this retreat satisfied all the much needed relaxation. I was able to chill out with my one year old puppy and my hubbie had the pleasure of catching many trout in the stream a few feet away. All kitchen appliances were handy, it was great. Many friendly people around including our hosts.

Nice, Roomy House in the Poconos

For a larger group in the Poconos (we had 3 adults and one child), this place can’t be beat. At least 5 people could have their own bed including one in the family room on a Futon. Fire pit was excellent, grills worked great, and the owner provides firewood. Would advise bringing bottled water.

Weekend next to the river

Overall was a great stay, the fire pit next to the river was outstanding. Walks along the quiet river road also outstanding. the cabin size is adequate and comfortable. Harris is great to work with super easy check-in and checkout.

Petfect weekend getaway
