This charming cabin is perched alongside the serene Florida River, offering a delightful soundtrack of gentle flowing waters that can be enjoyed from every room. Guests have the opportunity to indulge in catch-and-release fishing right from the property or simply unwind while taking in the breathtaking views from the deck by the water's edge, where glimpses of local wildlife are also a possibility. The interior of the cabin is a welcoming retreat, featuring a warm and inviting living room complete with a wood fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen ideal for preparing delicious meals, and a spacious dining area. The main floor comprises a generously sized master bedroom with a comfortable King bed, while a full bathroom is conveniently located on the same level. Upstairs, you'll discover three more bedrooms as well as a loft, with another master bedroom offering a luxurious King bed, a third bedroom furnished with a Queen bed, and a fourth bedroom featuring a Twin bunk. The loft space provides two additional Twin daybeds for flexible sleeping arrangements. Starlink internet has just been added for reliable Wifi should you need to work remotely. Outdoors, a gas grill and ample outdoor dining space on the expansive deck allow for al fresco meals against the backdrop of the river's gentle flow. As a note of caution, please be aware that the river's speed may fluctuate depending on the weather and the season.

This home is dog friendly. Approved Dogs are allowed with a non-refundable fee per pet based on size/type. Please let us know about your pet(s) when inquiring or making your reservation. Additional restrictions apply including crating, leashing, and other rules for the safety of your pet and the care of our home. Please inquire if needed for more details ahead of booking.

A good place to eat outside on the patio. It had natural shade from intense sunlight but wasn’t in the dark. Nice to be close to the river and get the river vibe. Rooms were separated off enough to feel privacy comfort. Kitchen very adequate.

The home was very welcoming and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings while still close enough to town. What stood out the most was the running river directly behind the house.

This was our third time to stay here because we absolutely love its location on the river and roughly 20 minutes from Durango and all dining and shops. We brought my grown daughter and son and his wife and two kids with very comfortable bedrooms to accommodate all. We had snow fall the day before we arrived then again the day after which was postcard worthy just looking out the window. I love the new dishwasher with three racks to hold all our dirty dishes. We will be back again to enjoy all this home has to offer.

Beautiful property, very comfortable. Experienced all kind of weather throughout the week from sunshine, to rain, to hail. All were gorgeous on the river. Even had a visit from a brown bear and a family of turkeys.Highly recommend this property for family type vacations, we were very comfortable here.

The property was better than advertised - quite lot at end of the road - very nice back yard and of course 3-' from the flowing Florida river. House was stocked with most everything needed - and also very comfortable.

Cabin in Durango

Was a beautiful spacious house to stay at. Loved the stream out back! Would recommend that at least one towel per person be available.

We are so glad you enjoyed the home. We do provide one towel per guest. Sometimes extra towels that do not fit on the racks are stored in cabinets. Please come visit us again!

Beautiful spot on the river

We loved the cabin and the location! Great deck that faces the river and the living room has spectacular views. The bathroom floors needed more cleaning, but overall a great place! I would recommend it for sure!

Our family had an amazing time at this beautiful home! It was so clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of room out back to grill and play games. We will definitely be back!!!

Remote and relaxing

This property is lovely. It’s in somewhat of a neighborhood, but you wouldn’t know once you get to the house. It feels very secluded from anyone and it’s the perfect place to relax with family!

Garrison family adventure

Annual get together with all 10 family members. Great time reconnecting & having great quality family time. Enjoyed local activities (hiking, zip lining, fishing) and making s’mores on the incredible deck. Such a fun trip & such a great experience. Durango is a wonderful community.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable home in a good location.

The home is in a good location. We enjoyed the comfortable porch furniture while relaxing in the evening. The rushing river sound was so nice to hear through the night. The home had little extras that made it special. Having 2 master bedrooms with a bathroom was perfect for 2 couples.

Escape the heat of summer

The river behind the house was absolutely wonderful! You could feel the cool air off the water. We enjoyed our stay in the house and all our needs were met. Pease and serenity

An amazing home at the end of the street which offered a wonderful view of the river. It had the feel of being all alone in paradise. The layout of the home was great, and the kitchen was well equipped. The home was clean, my only complaint was it had several spider webs by TV and fireplace and I am terrified of spiders.

Perfect Getaway

Will be booking again! The outdoor space alone is worth it but the accommodations are equally wonderful! Location is amazing and while there are other houses around you don’t feel crowded. Being at the end of the road is great! Been to several VRBO’s but none with a pantry so we’ll stocked! The manager was very helpful. You can’t go wrong with this rental!

Delightful.

I took my daughter, son-in-law and grandson to the mountains. The two guys had never been to the Rockies. They were amazed at the views, the river, the flly-fishing and just the sights and sounds of the mountains. The cabin was bigger than we needed, but I couldn't resist sitting on the deck and listening to the river. Would love to go back again.

This is an extraordinary VRBO. Not only is the house clean, well appointed, and beautiful, but the setting is absolutely magical. If you have dreamed of stepping onto a back deck and being mere feet from a wildly flowing river, look no more! I slept with the bedroom window open each night, and have never heard a sweeter lullaby...provided by a river in the forest.

Amazing,Comfortable, Refreshing Stay

Pictures are very accurate, beautiful home. Comfortable, very much enjoyed by all 7 of my family members of all ages! We found that we had to space our showers out, ran out of hot water pretty quickly. It was not a big deal, we made it work. Attempted to make a fire, house filled with smoke even after opening the flue, texted property mgr. gave us some instructions with no success. No worries once again, we were happy with the outside fire pit. We all left feeling refreshed and balanced. Also, great location! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!

Needs improvements

Many issues with the property. Everything was outdated. Appliances didn’t work. Huge leak in the downstairs bathroom. Needs a lot of work.

We are so sad to see this review. We were never contacted by your group about any appliances not working during your stay. All of our appliances are functioning properly and the owners have even had a new oven and other new items installed this year. If there was a leak we should have been notified as we could have easily sent someone to look at this. Our photos are true to the home and show the exact furnishings and items in the home so if you felt it was outdated we are sorry but each owner decorates to their own liking.

Great Property other than a couple of issues. The fireplace does not operate properly. Saw that posted from an earlier guest so called the property manager to confirm that the issue had been addressed and was told that it had. It absolutely was not. Had the same problem with them oven.

We have addressed both the fireplace and the oven and these items are working properly. If you had issues during your stay we should have been notified so we could have helped you figure out what was going on.
