Private home on 5 acres - 5 min. from downtown Durango - Hot Tub/Game Room

Our 3 bathroom, 2.5 bathroom, 3,700 sq. ft. residence sits on 5 acres with views of the Hermosa Cliffs. Enjoy privacy and seclusion while being only 5 minutes (4 miles) from Historic Downtown Durango and 20 minutes (21 miles) north to Purgatory Ski Resort. The home is less then a 5 minute drive to the newly renovated Durango Hot Springs, Dalton Ranch Golf Club as well PJs Market. and a liquor store.

Our home is perfect for multiple families as it has a living space on the main level and a large game room in the basement with a pool table, foosball, seating, games, TV and half bath (with a second set of washer/dryer). The home features amazing outdoor space with a large deck w/hot tub, gas firepit, outdoor bar, and bbq gas grill. All 3 bedrooms on the main level have AC units (the basement stays plenty cool).

The historic Durango/Silverton tourist train passes by the house across Highway 550 2- 6 times per day depending on the season.

Loft - Twin Beds (2) (Overlooks Main Living Space)

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check in was easy and house was very nice. Large fenced in yard with lots of room. The unfortunate thing was the hot tub water was yellow and unusable. The orken man also showed up during our stay and the kids and dog could not use the yard for a while after.

Very nice and comfortable home. Beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms both have awesome showers. The appliances in the kitchen are all super nice. All of this made for a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with the family!

Plenty of room to spread out but still a very nice living space for us to gather as well. Very clean and well maintained property! Great game room- only suggestion is to have a safe way to block the steps down to the game room. The steps right next to the main door was concerning for us with our 4 yr old granddaughter. Other than that- great place!!

The house was very nice and spacious. The backyard is gorgeous, and the host was very responsive. Overall, it was a nice trip.One item that we were not aware of when we booked was that, although the property is on 5 acres, you cannot use any of that land off the main property, and the house is very close to a busy road.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming home! The house was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated — it had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and we loved the open layout and natural light throughout the space.The location was perfect: quiet and peaceful, yet just a short drive to shops, restaurants, and attractions. We especially enjoyed spending time on the porch and soaking in the peaceful surroundings.The hosts were responsive and welcoming, and everything was exactly as described (if not better!). We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-cared-for place to relax and recharge.

Great family getaway!

This was a new property so they were working out a few kinks but overall our stay was great! Great communication from the rental company. The house itself was really nice, comfortable furniture, well stocked kitchen, great outdoor area for our dog and for us to enjoy and we also enjoyed the family area in the basement which included a pool and foosball table. Purgatory resort was only 20 minutes down the road where we enjoyed several days of skiing. We would definitely return.

This property was great, location was perfect for us as we would order our food and run into Durango to pick it up and be back at the house in less than 10 minutes. Because it is located on HWY 550 there is some traffic noise during day, but after dark the traffic slows way down. Again not an issue for us. The bed were all very comfortable and the showers in both baths had great water pressure and lots of hot water. Did have a couple of muke deer come up to the house in the evening.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a lovely home, and we would certainly consider staying here again when Durango is on our vacation list. The location was perfect! It was close to the Hot Springs and the Honey Distillery while also being only 10 minutes from Historic Downtown Durango. We loved it!The property management company was EXTREMELY responsive. Any questions were answered promptly, and they were so easy to work with. Even if we do not return to Durango, we would certainly look for a property with this company in the future. The only "nit" I have is that the property has been beautifully redone. The dimmers on the lights in the master bedroom and bathroom need to have the electrical loads addressed. They will not hold a variable dim; they are on or off. Not a deal breaker, but considering the extensive renovation, it should be addressed. As I said, this is very minor; we really loved this vacation spot.

We didn’t want to leave! Aside from some roof construction materials laying around the outside of one side of the house, this place was above and beyond our expectations. An ideal location for our needs and plenty of room for all 6 of us to spread out. A fun playroom & hot tub made it the perfect place to come home to after a long day of adventures & sightseeing. We would love to go back!Note: They paused the roof maintenance while we were there so it basically had no effect on our stay. Loved every minute.

No roof? Or is blue roof paper acceptable with roofing material, broken lights, nails, and ladders in the yard? First impression was lackluster of the outside of the property. We drove by the property a couple of hours before checking in to check out the location. I was actually embarrassed to have my family and friends show up after having paid quite a bit for this property. I notified the property management and they indicated that the roof was supposed to be done and surprised it wasn’t. Nope.. I sent many pictures after we checked in showing the unfinished roof and damaged property grounds from the contractors. The yard hadn’t been mowed. After asking, the yard was mowed the next day and maintenance came to assess the roof and landscape disarray.Inside: Eclectic and cozy inside. Sleeping rooms were comfortable and fit our party of 6. Can accommodate probably 4 more people as there are trundle beds up in the loft, air mattress in the closet, and a futon in the basement. Everything well equipped inside, no issues. Kitchen is a bit small and can’t accommodate more than 5-6 adults to maneuver around. Master bedroom and the twin bed had noisy plastic tarp-like bed protectors, we woke up in sweat! Game room was fun and provided good family entertainment.Outside: it was a bit windy at night but we were able to use the hot tub, grill, and cornhole set. Can be a fun yard but needed cleaning and maintenance, many weeds, broken lights, and sharp nails on the walk ways.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and we sincerely apologize for the condition of the property upon your arrival. You are absolutely right — the exterior should have been in much better shape and we completely understand how disappointing and embarrassing that must have felt, especially having paid a premium for the property and arriving with family and friends. The unfinished roof, debris, un-mowed yard and broken lights and nails are all completely unacceptable and we are truly sorry that was your first impression. We appreciate your patience in notifying us and we are glad the yard was addressed the following day, though we understand that does not make up for the initial experience. We also appreciate the feedback on the noisy mattress protectors and the weeds and sharp nails on the walkways — all of these have been noted and have been addressed. On a positive note we are so glad to hear that the inside was cozy and well equipped, that the sleeping arrangements worked well for your group and that the hot tub, grill and game room provided some great family fun! We truly value your feedback as it helps us hold ourselves to a higher standard and we hope you will give us another opportunity to provide the experience you deserved from the start.
