This home away from home has everything you need on the most exclusive island in metro Tampa.
This home is pet friendly on a case by case basis with a pet fee.
Wonderfully decorated and inviting 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home.
Each bedroom is spacious with a king bed in the master bedroom and queen beds in each of the other 2 bedrooms.
Lovely, large, treed backyard is inviting and relaxing.
Nearby are great biking trails, seaplane basin park and a dog friendly park.
There is a municipal airport and Davis Island Yacht Club where the public can come on Thursday afternoons during season and either participate or be spectator to "Thursday races" during season.
There is also a lovely village, with much to explore and great restaurants.

Clean and comfortable stay

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The kitchen is very well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The checkin process was super easy and we all enjoyed our stay. Would definitely rent this house again if I was returning to Tampa.

Davis Island stay

This was a beautiful smaller home on Davis Island. The furnishings were beautiful and the house was stocked with everything we needed. Most enjoyable stay!

Peace and Quiet

Cool House on Historic Island

Really enjoyed our stay at Carol's house. It's a unique place on Davis Island. It was centrally located to restaurants, bars, gas station, and running trails. It was a great landing pad while we checked out most of Tampa. Will definitely be staying here again!

Amazing Stay in Tampa

This home is nestled in a beautiful, scenic neighborhood of Davis Islands. The home itself is clean, well decorated, and had all the amenities my family and I needed. The owners were great to communicate with. Excellent stay.

Clean, organized and welcoming

Loved this house on Davis Island - great location if you like to walk, jog or ride bikes. Walkable to good restaurants and short drive to downtown. Cleanest VRBO I have ever rented! Owner very responsive- will return!

Had a commitment at the convention center and needed a place to stay close by. This house was the perfect find. Close and convenient to everything. Safe and beautiful neighborhood. Sweet little blue Jays and Mourning Doves in the backyard.

Davis Island

The house was perfect for my husband and my daughter and boyfriend. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook (which I did) and the alliances were top notch and spotless. The beds were comfortable and our dog loved the fenced back yard. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely

Spotless and well lit, we felt at home in this 3 bedroom. Morning coffee gathering at the backyard table was peaceful and fun, with squirrels and birds to entertain us, and small planes taking off here and there. Comfortable beds and easy access bathroom. Stay here again? Yes!

Small town feel in Downtown Tampa

Great house and the owners are super folks. We brought our own bikes although there were 3 in back yard, and the island was so close to ride to bayshore blvd trail and riverwalk and downtown. From there you can take the free trolley to Ybor and other destinations. Also ferry service from Davis island as well so you are in the heart of action. The Thai Island was our fav restaurant, green curry was amazing.

Easy stress free stay

We specifically picked this house because of the proximity of the Tampa General Hospital. It was totally on point and everything we expected. We rent through VRBO all the time and this house was extremely clean it was fantastic! The house had everything we could have needed. A very well equipped house. Toilet paper, food to trash bags. It had everything! The back yard was quiet and tranquil. A great stay!

Winter Getaway

Our stay was wonderful because of this cozy, so clean, well taken care of beautifully decorated house on Davis Island. The house was very spacious for my husband and I. The desk in the sunroom was a nice work space for him and the sunshine coming throughout the entire house. It had a beautiful backyard with a private fence and a very nice walkable neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the walks down to the yacht area and the little village with some nice friendly restaurants. Downtown, Tampa's Riverwalk, and many of the attractions was within a very short drive. Carol and Dean were wonderful host that promptly responded to anything we needed. An easy check & out process. This was a great Winter getaway vacation. We have already booked to return next year.

Hemmingway should have stayed here!

Excellent location...Davis Islands is an excellent spot to unplug and chill. And the house is the perfect spot for unwinding. The kitchen is most excellent, spacious, well stocked with everything...including chickens! As spouse and I have been traveling since Jan 14th, we loved the "office/sun room" and dining room to spread out and create our own space. A short 5 min drive to several excellent eats and bars. Also the are is flat, thus a great walking area and perfect for watching canal traffic and the small airport. The backyard is excellent spot for chilling out doors. This was our first trip to Tampa Bay (easy access to Grapefruit League games!) and the house contributed to our excellent stay. Oh, Carol, property mangers was excellent to work with.

c We enjoyed our stay for 2 weeks in this well-equipped home with easy access to Davis Islands' beaches and the yacht club as well as groceries just off the islands. Hurricane Nicole came through but no problem with the accommodations. Three large bed-rooms with wheel chair access from one into the toilet/shower room. If we had been six guests, then the single bathroom would be busy. Idealy, two bathrooms would be bette.

Nice House and Neighborhood

This house is located in a very nice neighborhood and was very clean. It is very close to downtown Tampa activities. Additionally, it was easy to communicate with the owner.

Great House!

The house is in a great neighborhood with restaurants and swimming pool within a walkable distance. It was clean and just what we needed. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Beds are wonderful! We stayed with our granddaughter and had a great time.

Exactly what we needed

A home away from home for our two kids, ages 3 and 5. We rented some toys and a crib and with the smart tv ready to go, the kids felt at home. They loved the back yard and all the tropical plants but we definitely needed bug spray to keep the mosquitos away. We liked getting ice cream in the center and driving the kids down to the green along the water for picnics. The aquarium in Tampa is great as are the playgrounds on the riverwalk. Lots of great food delivery and dining options (ice cream shop) in Davis island. The beaches are a good drive - between 45 and 1 hour - but worth it if you like a good swim on the ocean... would definitely stay here again. The house had all we could need and was very comfortable! The owner is accommodating and responds very quickly.

Our Wedding Rendezvous Point

We traveled from Ohio A week before to prepare for our Daughters wedding. The Garden Club Venue was only 5 minutes away. We had enough room for the dogs to run. A huge table to assemble all the centerpieces and Decorate lanterns. We walked to community pool which is very nice. Enjoyed some of the great restaurants uptown. Everything was just what we needed. Communication with Carol could not be easier. We booked a year ahead and anytime I had a question her response was immediate. You will not be disappointed with your stay.

My husband and I love the Tampa area and we love to travel.
We have created a perfect spot for destination travelers to explore what the area has to offer.
Within a short distance to beaches, museums, sports arena, the Tampa aquarium, downtown riverwalk with water taxis and great dining.
There is also convenient access to the trolley that can take visitors to historic Ybor City, for more great restaurants and micro breweries to explore.

Davis Islands is a community that is quiet, lovely and has so much to take in.
There is a village with restaurants and shops within walking distance of the home.
There are rental bikes in the village that can be used to explore the island down to the seaplane basin and yacht club. All of the cruise ships come down the channel that is only 2 blocks from the house. We feel very fortunate to have a piece of this very lovely and unique part of Tampa.

Close proximity to The Straz Theatre, University of Tampa which is a historical landmark, the Tampa museum of art and photography, the Tampa Theater, the Tampa Historical museum.
Just off the island is beautiful Bayshore boulevard for walks and biking.
Hyde Park village is a short drive.
On the island there is the Davis Island Yacht Club, Marjory Park yacht basin, tennis courts, the seaplane basin park and a dog park and beach. There is also a walking and biking path.
