Very pretty villa surrounded by orange groves. Close to a village with amenities, 30 minutes drive from beaches, Valencia, and other sites in the region. The lady who welcomed us went above and beyond by driving me to the village so I could get the basics when I arrived without a car. The grounds and pool were beautiful, The interior was comfortable and quirky; felt like a real family home. There were lots of spacious terraces and a cute barbecue area. The kitchen was better equipped than I have had at any other rental villa. The villa felt very secure, with electronic gates and a private feel. However, this is somewhere you cannot survive without a car. It is close to a motorway and also just off a very fast road. Although only about half a kilometre to the village you could not possibly walk it. Sadly there was no footpath through the orange groves or any walks from the house at all, so you are basically trapped unless you are prepared to drive. There are no reliable local taxi services and no Uber. The noise from the roads did not bother us although we were aware of it when outside; when inside we closed the windows in order to use the aircon and it was very quiet. Basically, if you are happy to drive everywhere, you are fine. The only other disadvantage was the distance/isolation from sites. Everywhere was 30 minutes or more - Valencia, Xativa etc. The local beaches (also 30 minutes) themselves are lovely but the areas around are very built up and not beautiful.
