Beautiful Lake House within an hour’s drive of the Twin Cities

This peaceful lake home is located only 1 hour out of the Twin Cities! Situated on west side of Little Elk Lake (near Zimmerman, MN) and sits on a 1 acre wooded property with a breathtaking, southeast facing, view of the lake front perfect for spectacular sunrises. A dock for you to fish from and secure your boat or perhaps jet skis.

Recently, the house was beautifully updated with a stunning kitchen to include a wine cooler. Outfitted with new furniture. It’s just simply stated, a perfect place to relax with family and friends, enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on the patio or perhaps enjoy a glass of wine in the evening as the sun sets. Sleeps up to 16 guests. 1-King bed, 2-Queen beds, 1-Full futon sofa. 4- pull out queen sleeper sofas, and 1- pull out twin sleeper sofa. To top it off, It’s expansive 21’x30’ loft outfitted with a wet bar and under-counter refrigerator is a great place for kids and grandkids to get away and spend time as the adults relax on the lake front.

This year-around conveniently located lake get-away is an amazing way to spend time on a lake in the summer fishing and boating, enjoying spectacular fall colors, and in the winter ice fishing and snowmobiling. Extremely convenient access to the boat launch area in the summer and the Minnesota snowmobile trail system in the winter.

The house is gorgeous. We felt like we had everything we needed to be at home. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We didn't have a chance to use the water equipment due to weather but, the fire pit is lovely and the entertainment room is cozy for movie night!

This home & property was beautiful and clean with so many amenities. We stayed here as it was close to the venue our son was getting married at. We were comfortable and appreciated the peaceful space with beautiful lake views to take in during the fall season.

We had a family reunion of 14 of us from Colorado, Oregon, Wisconsin and Minnesota and we had a great time at this beautiful place. The gourmet kitchen was a huge blessing as we ate all our meals at home during our stay and it allowed several of us to work together preparing the meals.We also loved fishing from the dock and using the canoe and kayaks provided. The kids were thrilled to catch a variety of fish. One of my sons also brought along his boat and it was so convenient to have his boat docked there and easy to access during our stay.We made a special request for something needed and Joan went out of her way to quickly fulfill it for us.I highly recommend this great place if you are looking to make lifelong family memories!

Best vacation ever

Was so excited when I found this property. It looks like the ideal location. Perfect house perfect Lake. And it blew my expectations away. It’s even better than the pictures and we had the most comfortable relaxing day. There were eight adults and we had more than enough space but plenty of space to gather and be together. Love that Mall of America is only an hour away and that a downtown area to get coffee and food was 10 minutes away. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

What a wonderful property for an extended stay with family. To easy check-in the property had things for all ages. Kitchen great size for several to be in at once. Nice space on main level to lounge and see the lake. The upstairs theater was a plus for family movie night. Enjoyed lake swimming, trampoline and the shallow water for littles. Fishing was good. We can’t wait to return next year!

Our family of 8 had an absolutely amazing time at this property…again! The setup of the house is great for us. Our teen daughter brings 2 friends with her and they spend a lot of their time in the large living space above the garage (3 fold out couches and a large screen TV). We hardly know they are there! The entire property screams pride of ownership. The swimming area is great with an Aqua fan to keep it clear of weeds. A water trampoline was added since last year and that was a big hit with our crew! Communication with Joan the owner is easy and her response is always quick. We have already begun to look at dates to book for next year in the next couple weeks! Can’t recommend this property and owner enough!

Great Family Vacation

This cabin was amazing. From booking, checking in, staying and checking out was very easy. The house was amazing. The big room with the “movie theater”, as the kids put it, was a hit. The yard was great. The dock and trampoline were a hit for swimming and fishing. Thanks for sharing your space with us to create memories.

Annual family trip!

We had another amazing week at the lake house! We have decided to make this an annual family vacation. The home is lovely, clean, and has everything we could ever need! The lake is amazing as well as the dock. It is so easy for our littles to use the stairs and play in the shallow area. The home owners are accommodating and kind. We had the absolute best time!

Beautiful !

We had an awesome vacation at this beautiful home. Our grandkids spent all day fishing and swimming, hard to get them ouut of the water. We had lots of laughs, lots of fun and made great memories. The home was clean and fit our needs. Joan was very quick to respond to any questions. I would recommend to stay at this property..

Perfect gathering place

Our stay was amazing, and the house set up was perfect for our girls weekend. There were basic essentials, plenty of bedding and supplies and the location was fantastic. Everything we needed to have a memorable weekend. Thank you!

Beautiful location

A couple of friends and I went for a weekend getaway. Beautiful location. We had a little problem with hot water--the property manager took care of it quickly. The lake is beautiful with lots of bird sightings.

Leadership Retreat

Our college ministry took a weekend away for our leadership retreat and had a wonderful time. The house was clean and spacious. The views of the lake were amazing. We definitely would love to come back.

Beautiful Minnesota Experience

We visited in March so couldn't use the lake but enjoyed watching the amazing waterfowl gather and interact including merganzers, buffleheads, giant Canadian geese and swans!! We also watched shore birds hunt including a great blue heron that stalked the shore leaving footprints in the sandy bottom visible through the beautifully clear water. We enjoyed watching over the beautiful scene with coffee in the morning and wine at night. We enjoyed the many outdoor seating options We hiked the nearby Sherburne wildlife area and saw swans nesting and cranes in the fields and marshes. The home is beautifully finished with thoughtful extras available like spices and bath products. Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxed time in this welcoming home.

Great place on the lake

We enjoyed our winter weekend stay very much! We were a group of 14 ages 17-70. We had fisherman in the group and brought our own fishhouse, which helped with sleeping (4 slept on the lake in fish house), the other 10 slept in the house, and I think you'd be hard pressed to actually sleep 16 as advertised, unless you have smaller kids who can sleep anywhere, as the majority of the beds were sleeper sofas, which our group did not find very comfortable. The loft room is awesome with huge TV, there is also limited seating for larger groups at meal time, but none the less, we had a great time and would recommend this rental, but maybe pack some air mattresses or alternative sleep options if you have fussy sleepers! Host had great communication and the home was very clean!

We have been in search of a lake house property as we so thoroughly enjoy the lake life. Both of us grew up with a lake cabin, its those memories that have motivated us to find this place.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

As a kid, I remember getting stuck inside the cabin when it rained the entire weekend. When I saw the large loft with a theater, I was immediately envious as I understood that if kids encountered the same rainy weekend, they could still enjoy the cabin and its fabulous game room.
