Dive in the pool of a rental house in Tuscany! Nice villa, share of a house situated in panoramic location on the hills surrounding Cortona. The rental villa, offering extensive views over the Chiana Valley and Lake Trasimeno, has been skilfully restored and turned into 2 comfortable accommodations (one is occupied by the owners). Tuscany country-style, comfortable furnishing.
Distances: a food shop is 2 km away, the charming medieval town of Cortona with all kinds of shops 4 km, Foiano della Chiana with golf course approx. 15 km, Arezzo 30 km, Perugia 45 km. Lake Trasimeno with equipped beaches is in a 20-minute drive. Some beautiful renowned towns like Assisi, Montepulciano, Chianciano Terme and Chiusi are within 40 km. A tennis court is at 2 km. A road passes close by the villa.
At guests’ disposal: large furnished garden, shared swimming pool (9 x 5 m – maximum depth 2,3 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09), barbecue, bread oven. Iron available. Parking within the grounds.
Extra services: Maid service available by arrangement (payment on site).

Wir waren 1 Woche bei Ivan und seiner Familie. Wir waren schon in vielen Ferienwohnungen in der Toskana. Noch nie sind wir so herzlich empfangen und gehostet worden wie hier. Die Einrichtung ist toskanatypisch hochwertig und die Küche umfangreich und vollständig ausgestattet. Alles picobello sauber und das Grundstück von der Famillie sehr gepflegt. Toller Pool mit kleinem Sprungbrett. Ideal für Familie. Es gibt ein kleines Nebengebäude zur separaten Miete, das sehr modern und fein hergerichtet wurde. Die überaus freundlichen Eigentümer machten unseren Urlaub zu einem besonders schönen, und das bei nicht idealem Wetter. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen. Grazie Mille Domenica, Giovanni und Ivan.

Traumhaftes Objekt im toskanischen Stil

Wir wurden herzlich vom Vermieter begrüßt. Nach der langen Fahrt waren wir natürlich vom bereit gestellten Essen und Trinken begeistert. Das Objekt ist viel schöner und größer als dargestellt. Viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber. Die Ausstattung im toskanischen Stil hat uns begeistert. Der Ausblick vom Pool und der Terrasse traumhaft. Auch direkt am Haus war eine Sitzmöglichkeit. So konnte man morgens den Kaffee mit tollem Ausblick genießen. Wir waren zunächst skeptisch, da die Vermieter über uns wohnen. Aber wir haben die Gastfreundschaft sehr genossen. Wir konnten das Gemüse aus dem Garten nutzen und bekamen frische Eier. Wir haben Ivan und seine Familie ins Herz geschlossen. Die Gastfreundschaft haben wir so noch nicht erlebt. Sie standen für Fragen immer zur Verfügung. Wenn man seine Privatsphäre haben möchte, bekommt man diese auch. Der Pool stand nur uns zur Verfügung und ist vom Grundstück des Vermieters getrennt. Es gibt auch eine gemütliche separate Sitzecke. Der Pool war immer sauber. Die Gegend ist ruhig. Absolute Empfehlung!!!

Casa Ivan, home from home and what a wonderful experience. Apart from the incredible setting and convenience for those with kids, Ivan, Giovanni and Maria Domenica are just incredible. We felt part of the extended family and so well looked after with fruit, cakes and vegetables from the garden.. An amazing part of our holiday & we can't wait to return..

One of our best holidays! Have been all over the world, a few times in the Toscana over the past years. This house and ground looks identical as on the pictures. The owner family is so friendly and warmhearted. We enjoyed the fantastic pool and the view is outstanding! And so much too see and visit just surrounding.

Wonderful apartment. This apartment was clean and carefully maintained. Had all the necessities for cooking and a great layout. Ivan and his family are very warm and gracious hosts. Not intrusive but helpful and very welcoming. They have a bountiful garden that they encouraged us to use. The location was a great jumping off point for our road trips to Siena, Civita di Bagnoregio, Montalcino, Sansepolcro and Cortona. It is a great place to just hang out. The views are really beautiful of the valley below. The little restaurant across the street was really good. The one thing to be aware of is that the altitude makes it a little cooler than lower down. My only disappointment was not being able to use the pool but that was the weather's fault and not our hosts. The pool looked great. I would definitely rent here again.

Staying at Casa Ivan was the highlight of my trip to Italy. We rented the house for three weeks and used it as our homebase, coming back to it after a few days in different places around Italy. We were always very eager to get back to Cortona and Casa Ivan. The family who owns the home and live upstairs are the kindest people I've ever met and made us all feel at home and part of the family. We had wonderful baked goods, special treats, espresso in the afternoons in the kitchen upstairs. It was just a treat to be at Casa Ivan. I am already planning my return trip, they family truly strives to make their home feel like your second home. They are very successful at doing this and making you feel part of the family. The house is so comfortable, the grounds beautiful, the location relaxing. I can't get back soon enough!

Tuscany has been a dream for many years, and thanks to a beautiful family and a wonderful villa in a spectacular part of Italy that dream came to life. The minute we arrived it felt like home! From the warm welcome we received from Ivan and his lovely family to the special touches, of home baked goods, a platter of meats and cheese, eggs and fresh fruit was unexpected but so welcome and delicious. The family is wonderful hosts, and we were made to feel part of their special family from the minute we arrived. The warm and friendly welcome we received from Ivan, the coffee with Nona and Maria was a highlight every day, and Maria makes a fantastic espresso (I am now a converted espresso drinker), Giovanni’s vino rosso is just as good as any bottle of wine we drank, and Ivan & Maria’s home made pizza an bruschetta were a taste sensation. The villa looks just as it does in the pictures, actually even better. The pool and gardens are lovely and a great place to relax under the Tuscan sun!! My favorite spot was on the little terrace at the table, watching the world go by, and listening and watching the comings and goings from the piazza and restaurant across the road. Casa Ivan is in a great location to explore the sites of Tuscany and Umbria the signage and directions are easy to follow, and the views of the countryside are like postcards. Ivan arranged for a day of cooking and this was a highlight. We shopped at the markets for our produce, then spent the day at a villa cooking, chatting, laughing, and best of all eating and drinking. Would definitely recommend adding this to the list of must do’s. Ivan speaks English very well, but Maria, Giovanni and Nona do not speak any, but the language barrier was not an issue. I knew very basic Italian, and we could converse and understand each other. I looked forward to coffee time and chats with the family. I was sad to leave, and know that I will definitely be back. Casa Ivan above Cortona is the very best place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The family who rents the first floor apartment really cares about your comfort and visit. They make you feel apart of their loving family. We felt spoiled by their kindness. The apartment is fully equiped and the extras that Ivan and Maria provide in a welcoming appetizer, morning coffee and a special dinner is a fabulous experience. The location to visit nearby hill towns is ideal. My husband and I enjoyed our stay here more than other places we have stayed in Italy and other countries. I can not thank the owners enough for an outstanding stay.

Casa Ivan is a truly a vacation place, which we can recommend full heartedly. The owners were very friendly and we felt like being part of the family. The house is nice, and it's very well furnished with good style. The location is quiet and within few minutes car drive from Cortona. (Forgot to comment erlier, but now considering renting the house again)

From the moment we arrived at Casa Ivan we loved it! What an amazing welcome and what a fabulous place to stay. We could not have asked for more, Casa Ivan is a beautiful property the gardens and pool AND views are to die for. We also married in Cortona while we were staying there, and returned to a feast fit for a King arranged by the hosts. We would not nor could not return to Tuscany AND NOT stay at Casa Ivan, it is a magical place with a kind a heart warming family who run it and to them we want to say a big thank you for making our holiday and our wedding banquet at the villa so special. 10/10 from all of us.
