Lake and mountain views in the front, golf course in the back. Clean and cozy 3 bedroom home, designed to relax and enjoy all Sudden Valley has to offer. Just a short 4 minute walk to the marina at the lake. Surrounded by walking trails, lovely quiet neighborhood. A short drive or Uber/Lift ride to Western Washington, Fairhaven and all that makes Bellingham so unique and special. Your VRBO will be the upstairs of the house and there is a long term tenant in the unit downstairs (separate entrances) Please see rules and regs so everyone can enjoy themselves. .

    Parking is on the lower parking pad only (unless otherwise pre-arranged with owner.) There is room for only 2 cars onsite and no street parking.
    Strip ONLY sheets, pillow cases and towels and place in front of washing machine. As well, please load your dishes in the DW with a pod and start :-)
    Very quiet neighborhood. This is not a party house. Quiet time 10pm - 8 am. Please respect my neighbors . Fines will occur from noise complaints.

    Lovely escape

    The views and serenity were great! Beds and linens were cozy and the kitchen had all we needed. Met up with family and house fit our 3 generations perfectly!

    Great place. Spotty wifi.

    Very clean and in a great location. Wrestled a bit with the wifi off and on but it mostly worked. You can't go wrong with this place.

    Beautiful area

    The house was perfect, pretty view, the leaves were changing, so it was really beautiful. Next time we will bring family or friends, the house was so warm and roomy. Very quiet neighborhood, not too far from town. We will be back for sure!

    5 gals stayed for the weekend and enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and friendship. What a beautiful place to stay. Plenty of room for all of us. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the beautiful views. Would love to do it again sometime!

    Cozy, warm, fireplace was great. Spacious rooms, clean and organizecd, great view of the lake. We appreciated the access to washer and dryer. I liked the kitchenware and pans. The home accommodated our family very nicely.

    Great rental!

    We had a great weekend stay, and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, nature sounds (woodpecker in the am and bird sounds all day long). I especially enjoyed the morning I woke up and saw a deer family hanging out right outside the window! This was the perfect location for a ladies weekend getaway. The owner was also very kind and welcoming. I'd definitely come back again.

    Lovely Home

    The house was so cozy and clean as well as had everything we needed. Our nights were chilly so we absolutely loved the fireplace as an added bonus. Samantha responded immediately when I had a quick question. This was our 3rd visit to Bellingham and we would definitely stay here again!

    Loved the place. Master bedroom bed was soft and lumpy. Should be replaced! Otherwise great place

    Great place to get away but still be close to it

    This was a great stay all the way around. Sam, the owner, was very communicative and helpful. Her place was ultra clean and modern, nestled away in a really quiet and beautiful area that was exactly what we needed. It was about ten mins from town though so still were able to get what we needed when we needed it while feeling like we were away from the hubbub.. 100% would book again.

    Welcoming

    We felt very welcomed as we entered this home! The property is clean and bright, and well outfitted with many of the things that a guest would need, including cooking spices. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would note, and it is simply a factor of the terrain in the Sudden Valley area, is the steep driveway that you need to walk up to get to the stairs.

    A peaceful interlude

    This was my second summer here - had to come back for the amazing view from the deck, relaxed atmosphere and well stocked and comfortable house- Samantha is a great host- attentive and ready to help with anything- if I have the chance, I’ll be back for a third time! 😍

    Very nice place

    We enjoyed the stay. Very well stocked home, very clean. En suite bathroom in the master bedroom which was very nice. Very responsive host who responded immediately to any questions. Deer walk around the house all the time. Home is upstairs level of house — full time tenant lives downstairs. We heard the tenant just once our whole trip. Nice place!

    Cozy Home with a beautiful view!

    The home was lovely and the view was amazing. We could have stayed just to look out the window all day. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen had plenty of space to prep and cook, and the living room was cozy and warm with the fireplace going. One thing to note is that the driveway is on the steaper side and it made me a little nervous having my dad walk up and down it on the one rainy day we had but when it was sunny and dry it didn't cause him any issues. Overall it was an excellent place to stay and the host had great communication with us.

    Gorgeous lake views and so accessible to Bellingham

    We reveled in the peace and quiet while drinking in the views of Lake Whatcom from the deck. The upper-floor condo is spacious and private, with a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. We would have liked the golf course development to be a bit more pedestrian friendly, but that's not the fault of the property. Happily, Bellingham and all its amenities is only a beautiful 15 minute drive away. And we used the property as our jumping off point for hiking around Mt. Baker. In other words, it was ideal.

    Feels away from it all

    This place felt like it was away from it all but all within 15 min of grocery stores and fwy. Beautiful property with lake views from living room/front deck and golf course as the backyard. We saw deer every day beautiful birds and could hear the frogs at night. The house had everything we needed. It even has a local conv store/deli and Italian restaurant just outside of the neighborhood. The clubhouse with Mexican restaurant and a good tequila selection is just a 5 min from the house. Would love to come back in warmer weather and get out on the lake. Would def come back to this property.

    Better lighting would be awesome.

    The lighting outside was a bit frustrating. It was dark & rainy and hard to navigate where to park. There were no outside lights until finally we hit the first step and a motion light came on. Everything else was fantastic!

    Thanks for positive review of the house. We cannot add street lights to the neighborhood, nor power down at the street. Headlights on your car should of illuminated the parking stalls that are spacious and open. There are solar lights (but in the forest in Washington, they don't get enough light Oct-April ) As you saw we have many lights to light the path on your way to the front door.

    Great stay, helpful host

    We found the property to be all we’d hoped for - comfortable, great location, and lovely places to walk nearby with lots of deer and even a few rabbits. Everything was clear and easy, from checking in to cooking a few meals to doing a load of laundry. The host was friendly and responsive to our questions. We hope to stay here again in the future.

    My Idea of Paradise!

    The location (one block away from Lake Whatcom) was perfect! Sudden Valley is quiet and BEAUTIFUL! Fawns and rabbits are everywhere and even when it rains, it has a serene feel to it! Samantha's place is clean, well stocked, and perfect space to relax and take in the amazing view, especially sitting on the deck! Every time it would stop raining, that's where I'd be! We'll be back if it's available!!
