A uniquely designed home, spacious, beautiful views from every room, located in a quiet neighborhood, close enough to the city to enjoy the sights (11.5 miles) and far enough away to feel like a vacation. Salt water pool, gas grill and fire pit. Previous guests have praised the "spectacular views," "exceptionally clean," "outdoor space and pool are fantastic,'' and "everything you could need is here." Pets welcome.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown Nashville one day and the next day enjoy water sports. Elm Hill Marina (2 miles) and Nashville Shores (5 miles) offer rentals and other activities. You and your friends and family can enjoy a quiet day around the pool and patio area or sitting on the upper deck watching the view and activities of the lake.
Pets are welcome. Owners live next door, unobtrusive but available for any problem or concern. There is a large fenced in yard available for pets to enjoy a romp in safety.

Beautiful, clean home and perfect amount of space for a friends trip! Close enough to uber around but far enough from downtown to feel relaxed and out of the noise. Host was accommodating to our early flight, which was greatly appreciated! Would book this house again in a heartbeat, it really was perfect for visiting Nashville.

We had a wonderful stay! The saltwater pool was a delight and provided so much fun for our whole family. The property was spotless, and the hosts truly went above and beyond to meet our needs. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches—Jim’s pie and cornbread were an unexpected and delicious bonus! I had hoped to meet Miss Mary as we share some common interests, but maybe next time. Thank you again for your kind hospitality and exceptional cleanliness—we can’t wait to return!

Great Nashville Stay

The house is great, spacious, well-stocked kitchen, fenced yard and great views of the lake from upper level. The beds are very comfortable and the house is lovely. The location was convenient to the activities we had planned, short drive to the Hermitage and close to the airport. We enjoyed the nearby park daily with the dog. We had Jim’s famous chocolate pecan pie and it was delicious. Jim and his family were wonderful hosts and we will definitely book again.

Best VRBO we have ever had. We got to Nashville early and the house was ready and they let us check in early. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Jim was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and the chocolate pecan pie was amazing, my daughter and I finished it in 2 days. Their daughter even helped us out when we woke up to a flat tire.

Great stay. Six days in Nashville.

Mary and Jim's home is well-equipped and clean, and we felt very much at home. It is located about 25 minutes from Broadway however, we liked that we were staying in a quiet, safe neighbourhood. Jim was very accommodating and was willing to help in any way. A great stay!

Spacious and comfortable.

Lovely home and spacious. Very clean with beautiful views of lake. Bedrooms very large so toddlers could room with parents. Stairs were a challenge for them but adapted well. Jim was a great host and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful home base for our girl's trip. We felt right at home and had everything we needed and MORE! Jim & Mary and their daughter out did themselves with treats, water, and a well-stocked frig & pantry. Jim's famous pie was waiting for us after a long day in Nashville. Delicious Jim!!! The view from the upstairs balcony of the lake was beautiful. We went to Franklin and Nashville many times and had no problem getting an Uber/Lyft to and from the house. If we ever visit Nashville again, we will surly stay here. Thanks for everything!!! The Texas girls!

5 Star Stay in Nashville!!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Jim and Mary’s home! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that they take great pride in maintaining their property. The house was spotless—easily one of the cleanest vacation homes we've ever stayed in. Every room was immaculate, and it felt like we were the first guests to ever set foot in it! The home is about a 20-25 minute drive to broadway, which could be a deterrent for some, however we didn’t mind. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the pool. The water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature, making it incredibly refreshing to start the day off before heading out and exploring Nashville. We can’t forget to mention Jim’s homemade chocolate pecan pie. It was simply divine! Rich, flavorful, and the perfect balance of chocolate and pecan. We’re still dreaming about it! Jim and Mary are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a memorable stay. We can’t recommend their home highly enough and can’t wait to return!

Fun in Nashville

First time to Nashville and we had a blast. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The owners of the house I’ve next door so if there were to be any issues, it was good to know they were close by. The house wasn’t a far drive from everything we had planned and everything we did that week…..which was amazing. I would definitely recommend this house to future guests.

Beautifully relaxing!

From the start of inquiry on rental property to our entire stay, the communication was prompt and the hosts were very accommodating. The pictures were great representation of home , however the hardwood floors were absolutely beautiful. Of all the homes we've stayed at , this was by far the most stocked and beautifully decorated . The pool was amazing. The view of lake was nice as well. Far enough from center of Nashville but close enough and easy quick drive to key locations. The homemade chocolate chip pecan pie on arrival was the icing on top and so delicious. Mary and Jim were the absolute best hosts. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone and we are certainly hoping to get back to stay there and visit the hosts as well.

We've been on this little cul de sac since 1999. Jim is a Nashville native and I'm from Florida. People seldom leave once they move into this neighborhood. However, our little neighbor "Dee" died in 2015 and we took the opportunity to buy her beloved home. We love our home next door and it suits our needs better but we felt Dee's house was special and a good investment. I used it as an office for my counseling practice for a couple of years and the patients loved it. Many people suggested we offer it as a short-term rental to people vacationing in the area. We've always worked. Jim as an over-the-road truck driver and myself, as a nurse practitioner. We're not ready to completely retire and we enjoy meeting people. It seems like an ideal situation.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

The owner, an elderly neighbor of many years, died in 2015 and we thought it would be a good investment and a way to control the neighborhood. Our neighbor "Dee" loved her home and was such an wonderful neighbor, we couldn't bear to see someone move in who did not value the house and neighborhood like she did. We've continued her tradition in keeping the house in meticulous shape. I think she'd be proud to know so many people have enjoyed it's beauty and special character.

The reaction most people have when they walk in the house is "Wow. It's beautiful." Then as they come further in it's "Wow. What a view." There is a very strong sense of beauty and serenity about the house.
