In the Collioure natural area, the property is just 4 minutes' walk from the first little-known cove of summer tourism, where you can quickly spot many fish. On both sides you will reach on foot by garrigue paths to sandy beaches much more frequented or you can either lounge or go by sailboat.
The property has been completely renovated to offer a holiday home where everything is thought of for your comfort. You can cool off in its large swimming pool or in the shade of its huts, enjoy its magnificent Mediterranean garden, grill the fish of the day or the typical musclade in one of its shaded barbecues.
20 mins walk you will reach the historic center of Collioure where like Derain and Matisse you will succumb to its charm. You can taste fresh fish or a good seafood platter at one of the many restaurants along the edges of the
beaches. You will love its night and day markets, its typical Catalan boats in garish colors, the famous Music Festival "Les Déferlantes" at Argeles Plages, the water parks, the visit of the many vineyards, the First Marine Reserve of France between Cerbére and Banyuls, the classified and protected site of Anse de Paullille, all nearby.

The house and the hosts are super. Lots of space and a well appointed property. The hosts very responsive and answered any questions and dealt with any (but few) issues immediately. The house is about 800ms to a beautiful cove. The town is 20-25 minutes walk which may be challenging to some especially in the hot weather. Ubers were easy to get in any case if you don’t want to drive. Our only error was we didn’t bring beach/pool towels and there is an extra charge for those. Highly recommend this property and location

We had a great holiday in Collioure. Marie Claire and Jeremy were very responsive to our needs. We were 6 adults and 2 little children. It was easy enough to walk to the nearest beach, it took about 25 minutes. The town is lovely, though one would need to have a car to get the children there. It is about 25 to 30 minutes walk, easy but a bit up and down. The house is spacious, clean and has a surrounding orchard, which dampens the traffic noise from a busy road that surrounds the house. The swimming pool is great; it kept the children, and adults entertained. Marie Claire kindly arranged for the beach towels, children's cots and a high chair. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable.All in all a great holiday. Thanks again to Marie Claire and Jeremy.

Stunning!

The facilities at the property were excellent. We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful part of France. Both the beach and Collioure were within walking distance, Collioure being particularly stunning.

Lovely villa in a great location

The villa is bigger and nicer than the photos show. The outside area is beautiful. It’s a 15 minute walk to collioure and less than 10 minutes to a beach with a beach bar.

Absolutely wonderful

We went for my father in laws 80th birthday, with family travelling from as far away as Australia with a 7 year old and two teenagers. It was a fantastic holiday. The house exceeded all of our expectations and the hosts were magnificent.

Paradise in the South of France

We loved the expansive property with multiple seating areas, outdoor kitchen, pristine pool and proximity to Collioure, Racou and Argelès-sur-Mer. The house is even nicer than shown in the pictures and Marie Clare and Jeremy were excellent hosts. 10/10 stay.

Wonderful!

We loved it! Marie Claire and Jeremie were so helpful and welcoming. The house and its surrounding really is even better than the photographs, it’s perfectly designed (we were a family of seven across three generations), equipped and located. We really enjoyed Plage de L’Ouille 10 mins walk away, and lovely Collioure.

Beautiful Home

Great week in very warm weather. Beautiful home with loads of room for different groups. Beautiful outdoor kitchen & eating area. Lovely garden. The pool was the highlight.Small shop and restaurant a few hundred meters away. Walk to Collioure was on very quiet road - somewhat hilly but largely ok for all if not super hot.Merci Marie & Thank you Jeremy.

Location badly misrepresented. The property was certainly not.’a few steps from the beach’ and the pin on the map by the beach was a total falsehood. It makes a big difference when you think you have rented a beach property and you are actually 1/2 to 1 km from the beach. Just carrying stuff to the beach becomes a major exercise, especially in the heat.Even more annoying was the fact that the perimeter of the property had a main road (Colliere to Argeles sur Mer) going around it. So there was quite a bit of road noise throughout the day and evening. On the other side of the property was a train line which whilst not too loud did add to the urban aspect.We had a couple of other issues, however these were small compared with the reality of the location. On the good side, the villa was lovely. The hosts were great and helpful, although our two queries did take a couple of days for a response. No big deal though. Also, the area is superb. Vrbo tried their best to represent our issues with the owners. We only raise this post visit because I generally couldn’t see how they could solve the location issue during our stay. So lovely Villa just be aware that you are not renting a bridge property, even though the price does seem to reflect that.

Bonjour, nous vous remercions d'avoir pris le temps de souligner le charme de notre villa ainsi que la qualité de notre accueil, dont la place qui est un bien précieux sur Collioure. Nous sommes cependant navrés que l'emplacement n'ait pas correspondu à vos attentes personnelles. Notre annonce indique pourtant de manière très précise que la propriété se situe à 4 minutes à pied de la première crique sauvage, et que les autres plages et Criques de Porteils sont accessibles par des sentiers de garrigue. Ce côté sauvage et préservé, typique de la côte rocheuse de Collioure, fait généralement le bonheur de nos locataires depuis 12 ans. Concernant les voies de transport, elles sont inhérentes à la géographie de notre magnifique côte rocheuse où les routes et la voie ferrée longent la mer pour relier nos villages, ce qui n'affectent en rien notre quiétude. Nous retiendrons de votre séjour que notre villa vous a beaucoup plu, et nous vous souhaitons une belle continuation. MC

Beautiful property

We were fortunate that, unusually, the property was available during the winter. Our extended family stayed 12 nights over the Christmas/New Year holidays. We received a warm welcome from Marie Claire and were pleased to find a decorated Christmas tree in the living room. We enjoyed the location, a short walk to the Mediterranean, and a 15-18 minute walk to Collioure. The grounds have parking for multiple vehicles, which is useful.A very memorable holiday!!

Resting

The property was large, clean and had everything you could wish for. All the cooking items. It is on a lovely setting, it had a number of areas to sit -in the shade and out, and also different places to eat. We had breakfast in one place and dinner somewhere else. The weather was hot but there was a breeze most days.

We did not want to leave!

We did not want to leave this lovely secluded, spotless house with a large pool, surrounded by apple and olive trees. The house is really well equipped with anything you need for cooking, with 2 BBQ areas for eating al fresco. Great for fun activities with toys and a table tennis table. Easy to find, with beach access just 5 minutes away. Its a short walk from Coulliere town (although quite a steep hill back!) which has a bustling market, lovely restaurants and a castle.

Beautiful Collioure

We had a lovely holiday here as a family with our two small dogs, The accommodation is spacious and excellent. There are several places to eat in the garden which has beautiful flowers.There is an easy walk to the beach and a slightly more challenging walk to Collioure, which we loved. The shop in the adjacent campsite is very good. The garden was safe and secure for our dogs but there isn't a fence around the pool or a pool cover.

Perfect vacation home

The house and the garden are perfect. Better than the photographs, if that is possible. Everything was as we had hoped for. We had young children in our group and every extra they needed was available for us. Even the swimming pool was safe for them as it is not located very close to the house. The only problem that we had during our stay was when we needed an ambulance (due to appendicitis) and we couldn’t give them the exact address of the place. Maybe that was because of language problems. But Jeremy solved it perfectly by driving us to the hospital. So, even that incident went well in the end.

The property is wonderful. It offers a lot for either a large group or family. It has multiple entertainment areas outside and the open plan lounge/dining with generous dining table allowed for some wonderful, fun evenings. We located the stereo upstairs but there was no Bluetooth option. The bedrooms are spacious and the two downstairs rooms have ensuites. All bedrooms in the large house have aircon. The location is slightly further away from Collioure than we expected, around 25 mins of hilly and flat terrain. La Racou is only 1km away. There is a campground 100mts away that offers a well equipped supermarket and very nice restaurant. There is an on-site maintenance person (Jeremy) who live in a separate house but will help with anything you need. The actual location of the property caused a bit of confusion so it’s best to head toward the campground (Camping Les Criques Des Porteils), the house is on the lane to the right as you approach and signposted. Thank you to Marie and Alfred, you provided a wonderful experience for our group - one we will never forget!

Vores ophold var magisk. Faciliteterne var fremragende. 3 spiseområder, poolen og området omkring det var også rent og nydeligt. Vi var 9 mennesker afsted, og der var massere af plads til os alle. Rigtige gode og rummelige soveværelser, og sengene var rigtige behagelige at sove i. Det er alt i alt en rigtig god oplevelse. Stor anbefaling herfra

Wir waren begeistert von der Grösse des Hauses und der grosszügigen Einrichtung. Der Garten ist riesig, es gibt Grillmöglichkeiten, eine Bar und eine Lounge beim Pool. Die Übergabe und Abnahme hat wunderbar geklappt, alles ist sauber und gepflegt. Bei Fragen konnten wir uns an Marie Claire oder Jeremy wenden und es wurde uns unmittelbar danach weitergeholfen. Unser mittelgrosser Hund durfte gegen einen Aufpreis mitkommen und man konnte ihn im umzäunten Garten frei laufen lassen. Er durfte mit an den Strand, es ist jedoch Leinenpflicht. Die Strände sind zu Fuss gut erreichbar in einigen Gehminuten. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten. Vielen Dank für die wunderbaren Ferien.

Großartig. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Der Check-in funktionierte schnell und unkompliziert. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben: Strand ist fussläufig (in 10-20 Minuten) erreichbar. Die nahegelegene Straße und Bahntrasse stören nicht. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und insbesondere die Küche funktional und komplett eingerichtet/ausgestattet. Wir haben uns bestens selbst verpflegen können. Der Garten und Aussenbereich ist wunderschön und außergewöhnlich (eigener Pool, Grill-/Essplatz, Garage). Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und bestens erholt.

Traumhaftes Haus in toller Umgebung

Wir verbrachten eine tolle Woche mit 2 Familien und Hund. Besonders gut gefiel uns die Lage direkt am Meer und die vielen Sitzgelegenheiten in der Außenanlage. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
