Look no further as you have found one of the only truly Oceanfront Homes on Birch Bay. Come to our beautiful and immaculate 3 bedroom, 2 bath Beach House on Birch Bay with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and San Juan Islands.

Completely updated, our home is a special retreat and boasts stunning views from the entire Ocean side of the home. The large raised patio and landscaped grounds are great for relaxing or entertaining. Step off our back patio down our own private stairs to the beach, where you can enjoy a long walk or run, play in the sand and surf, or simply watch the eagles and grey herons soar.

Our beautiful Birch Bay home is a perfect romantic or family get away where you can watch spectacular sunsets, enjoy a warm fire in the real wood fireplace, and fall to sleep to the sounds of the waves. The Master Bedroom is a retreat in itself with a great water view, comfortable queen bed with luxury linens, and its own private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third has three single beds. There is also a TV (No Cable) with a DVD player available to use as well as internet connectivity for streaming.

Birch Bay is a quaint beach community with many outdoor activities to enjoy. Bring your golf clubs to try one of the many great courses nearby that can be played year around.

We are pleased to share our beautiful beach front home when we are away. It is our hideaway from the hectic day to day. I am available via text or call.

Access to the property is by keyless entry.

Lovely pleasant home on a quiet street with a fabulous view. Outdoor patio has lots of comfortable seating overlooking Birch Bay and beyond where you can watch nightly sunsets.Steps down to the beach. Will definitely return.

Its a beautiful home with spectacular beach access, sunsets and comfy beds! We had some issues with the water in the showers being too hot in one bathroom and too cold in the other. But, everything else was great.
Amazing sunsets every night!
Lots of birdwatching
Another gorgeous night
The kids had hours of fun finding sea life and beautiful shells and rocks

Another great stay here

We've stayed at this rental several times and it completely fits our needs. Great views, beach frontage with kayak storage (steep stairs to beach), and everything you need including a gas barbecue and extensive patio.

Gorgeous getaway

My family and I were looking for a beautiful home as a jumping off point to explore Bellingham and go skiing at Mt. Baker. We really enjoyed the place. Highlights include an astonishing view, beautiful beach, and comfortable beds.

Great beachfront cabin

We had a great time at Janelle's cabin. The location was perfect for playing on the beach, going out paddleboarding and enjoying the subsets. Great kitchen and set up for the kids, and really enjoyed exploring the neighboring parks and hikes as well.

Wonderful Property

Beautiful beach cottage. Very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay, other than food and clothing. Beach is wonderful to stroll and find shells. Views are so amazing! Such a nice time!

Great spot

My wife, 2 year old I just stayed 4 nights at this beautiful place. We enjoyed every day. It was as advertised. We will be back for sure. It’s the perfect location in one of our favorite towns.

Peaceful getaway

The view!!!

Great stay! We had the best time being right on the water. Mostly just hung out in the back because the view was incredible. Direct and private beach access. Stairs could be tough for really small children or anyone with bad knees, but they suited our family just fine.

Awesome!

Loved staying here with my kids and my parents. Great location with amazing views across the bay. This is a great place to unwind; we went for walks on the beach (via the properties private access) if the weather was nice; we chilled inside playing board games when it rained. Owners were prompt in their responses. Will consider the house again - next time in the summer so we can enjoy the patio more!

Laid back getaway!

The home is very comfortable and well-appointed with everything we needed. Brought kayaks and left then at the water's edge (a little bit tricky getting them up and down the stairs but very doable). Loved beachcombing at low tide. Only suggestion would be better lighting in the dining room for playing cards and games. Overall a great place for a quiet vacation!

We just loved it!

The view, amenities and location can't be beat. We found this to be one of our most relaxing rental experiences. We all felt replenished by the beach and the view. Our kids appreciated the beach toys and their beachy bunkbeds + room. Kitchen was well equipped with all the basics. Do bring your own coffee and firewood! Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay with you.

Loved our beach walks

This is a very nice home in a fantastic location on Birch Bay. There is private beach access which makes going for a beach walk very easy. Earlier reviews commented that the stairs needed repair. When we visited in March, 2021, the stairs were new and sturdy. No issues there. There is a very nice fireplace and we enjoyed having a fire in the evenings. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linens were new. Everything was great. We were very happy there.

Incredible beautiful and peaceful location

My sister, husband and I spent a week at the Beach House in Birch Bay. The house and location were much better than we expected. This is the quiet end of Birch Bay. We sat outside every morning in the perfect mid 70s sunny weather and drank our coffee and listened to waves lapping and bird calls. We saw seagulls, herons and bald eagles every day. At low tide we walked out on the mud flats and at high tide we went swimming. Every evening we are dinner outside and saw beautiful sunsets. It was just the perfect place for a relaxing week. We realized at the end of the week we had never even turned the tv on the entire time we were there.

Great place to spend time with family or friends!

We were enchanted with the fantastic views and sunsets from the kitchen, living areas, and patio, enjoyed the access to the beach, and were very pleased with this home to spend time with our son and his family. The master suite allows for privacy, and the bedding in the rooms was comfortable for everyone. Proximity to the state park and the town provide opportunities to experience the community and programs at the park. While we were there they had a morning presentation on clam digging which was interesting. There are shops nearby to get essential groceries, and it's not too far to Bellingham which has a wonderful farmers' market on Saturday. For fresh local fish, Barlean's Fishery Inc. is a short drive away and worth the trip. Station 49 is very close with go carts and mini golf for a day of fun, and live music on the weekends. We would be happy to stay here again!

Beach house at Birch Bay

The house location cannot be better: 20 steps down directly from the house to get to the beach. The view is also amazing. The patio is very nicely designed, we spent most of our time outside the house, in the patio. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are very comfortable. Everything would be perfect if the house would have A/C and nets on doors and windows. We were there during hot days and the house was too hot all day and, unfortunately, all night. Fans did not help at all. In the evening there is a nice cool breeze from the ocean but we could not keep the doors open due to a lot of mosquitos which could get to the house because there are no nets to stop them. Internet is ok but not very strong. I could not have video calls since the signal was too weak. Still, overall we had a great time and the gorgeous sunsets are in our memory forever.

Mostly Great!

The view is unbeatable! A couple of tricky issues that others have mentioned: 1) The stairs to the beach are not for everyone. My 70 yr old mom had to scramble her way back up and decided it wasn't worth returning to the beach b/c they were too unstable. They have a railing at the top but the last flight are uneven and do not have a hand rail. 2) The house doesn't have screens nor does it have many windows that open. It was very stuffy when we arrived so we found some fans in closets and kept the main doors open. This cooled things down but we then we had to deal with flies and mosquitoes. They had a fly swatter which we used a bunch but for those sensitive to bugs this is something to be aware of.

Perfectly Delightful!

This place is a perfect example of why I trust VRBO! It is fantastic! As I said in the little guest book by the front door, “we can’t wait to come back!”. Here are just a few examples to back that up: o Lots of great pictures on the website that are still not as good as they are in person! o Even though there are homes on either side, they are situated in a manner that makes you feel like you have complete privacy. Did I mention how quiet it is? Oh, happy day! o Spotlessly clean o A private beach! You heard me, A PRIVATE BEACH! You walk down a staircase and there you are! It is delightful! AND…you don’t have to dodge traffic on a very busy street from a public beach, like most of the rentals in Birch Bay. o The location is incredibly safe even for our two vehicles (great parking, by the by) o Their customer service rivals Nordstrom! They are so accommodating and speedy in their response! Yay! o Love the way they blended modern necessities while retaining the groovy mid-century modern vibe! Love the fireplace, it would be so cozy in the winter! o Fabulous patio overlooking the bay! o The view…oh my gosh…amazing!!! Again, we cannot wait to come back!
