After resting in the mountain air, venture outside and keep everyone entertained in this perfect vacation setting. The Recreation Center / Lodge features a swimming pool, two outdoor hot tubs, locker room saunas, billiards, tennis and bocce courts, and a fitness trail. The complex backs up to Tahoe National Forest, offering miles of hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and other activities year-round.

Your home away from home is in Carnelian Bay, where all North Lake Tahoe is right at your doorstep! Stroll down to Magic Carpet mini golf or check out Waterman’s Landing, located at Patton Landing Beach, a 3-acre, pebbly beach known for stand-up paddling.

To experience Lake Tahoe gambling and nightlife, Incline Village and Nevada's historic casino Crystal Bay are a short drive away, just across the state line.

Closer to home, you'll find superb dining options right in town like Gar Woods Grill and Pier for steaks and fish, the Old Post Office Coffee Shop for hearty breakfasts, and CB's Pizza for hand-tossed pies and beer.

You're only 10-12 miles from three great ski resorts—Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley. Whether you prefer to downhill or cross-country ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or go sledding or ice skating, North Tahoe is the place for winter fun.

At Squaw Valley, after conquering the slopes, go tubing with the kids or try out the mini snowmobiles at SnoVentures Activity Zone. There are dogsledding tours too!

In every season, the Village at Squaw Valley offers dining, shopping, the Squaw Valley Aerial Tram, and a variety of activities.

In the summer, ride the Aerial Tram to High Camp then choose a scenic trail and walk or hike in one of the most breathtaking places in the world! At 8,200 feet elevation, admire the beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains with views of Lake Tahoe and Squaw Valley's legendary granite peaks. In the Aerial Tram building lobby, kids and grownups can have a blast climbing the variety of routes on the 30’ simulated Headwall Climbing Wall. If you dare, learn how to do a front or back somersault at Skyjump; all ages are welcome.

Listing says sleeps 5 but it absolutely does not. There was one bed in the house with the flattest pillows, about as thick as crepes. Upstairs has 2 of the tiniest chairs that are supposed to be beds but aren’t. Not enough pillows and blankets for the supposed 5 people. I would like a partial credit

Great condo beautiful inside and out. Needs a bed upstairs. Doesn't sleep 5, only 4. TV only worked intermittently. Property wasn't ready on time for us to check in. Could be awesome, just pretty good.

The house was great! The sheets were incredibly comfy. Might be better to have the bed upstairs as the heater in the bedroom below is very loud, washer didn’t work when we were there but we just hand washed everything. Also be really careful as the walkway down was very very icy when we got there. Both my boyfriend and I struggled to get down the first night.

Would absolutely stay here again!

We have spent time in this community before and the grounds are awesome - especially if you have dogs. It is in a good location with a short walk to a beach and restaurants.

Lovely weekend

The condo was beautifully decorated, clean and new and was fully stocked with amenities with a view of Lake Tahoe. We were not informed as to the remote location, up a winding road with addresses not clearly marked. In addition, there was a long, steep and slightly icy walk which was extremely difficult for us to carry our luggage and food supplies down, and then up when we left. We did enjoy our stay, once settled.

My only complaint was because we arrived at night we could not find it at all. Google maps only took us to the lower units and being darker had no idea where ours was. Would have been nice to have been sent driving directions.

We just had a quick two day stay. This is the quietest place we have ever stayed. The condo was clean and parking was plenty. The tv situation took a bit to figure out but not an issue. We will definitely look at staying here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at CW for over 30 years. In general, this unit has nice colors and finishes and is updated. However, I would suggest a few changes. The lighting is poor in the bedrooms and LR. Adding a track light across the beam over the LR will provide much better general light. The two lamps are very dim. Same in bedrooms. In master, I suggest a floor lamp plugged into the switched outlet. In the loft, change the ceiling fan to one with a light overhead controlled with a remote. More towel bars are needed. I suggest adding one just outside the bathroom doors due to the limited wall space. Silverware is rather sparse. 6 forks, knives and spoons. Adding door pulls to cabinets doors will make it easier to open the cabinets and reduce wear on the finish. The DW has a lot of built-up residue inside. I suggest using liquid DW soap and providing rinse aid to reduce the scum inside. Grocery storage is minimal. There is a missed opportunity for adding a pantry cabinet at the right end of the kitchen millwork. Downstairs shower door doesn't slide, needs repair. TP holder is VERY hard to access while sitting. Move to wall in front of toilet. The cabinet with TV in loft seems like it is ready to fall apart. This should be replaced or tightened if possible. The LR TV is awkward to use, not user friendly. We figured it out, but non-tech users would be frustrated. As another reviewer mentioned, printed instructions would be very helpful. As a last thought, a cabinet like an armoire located under the stairs would serve well to organize linens in a central place instead of being jammed into the closet in plastic garbage bags. All said, still a nice unit and beds are comfortable.

Everything was perfect! We used to live in Kings Beach and never knew of these townhouses.

We look forward to making a reservation this summer! Just had trouble getting tv to work. Maybe a card with directions. Realized after we l ft on Sat rather than Sun as we were in a hurry to beat the storm, forgot to dump kitchen and bathroom garbage. So sorry!!
