This two bedroom end unit offers convenient access from the parking area and a very quiet location. Leisure Time is perfect for two couples or a small family. Enjoy terrific mountain views from the covered balcony. Located in the Carnelian Woods townhome complex in Carnelian Bayā€”make yourself at home in the North Tahoe vacation spot near everything!

Put your feet up and rest on the comfortable sofa while you watch TV by the cozy stone fireplace. Wi-Fi keeps you connected. Or go outside and take in the forest views on the balcony, located off the living room.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a hearty breakfast, a quick snack, or a home-cooked dinner and the dishwasher makes clean up a snap. There is seating for two at the breakfast bar and four chairs at the dining table.

Just around the corner, main floor laundry makes it easy to pack light. There is also a half bath, and a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and TV.
Head upstairs to the master suite and stretch out on the queen bed. The full bath with shower.

The grounds outside feature lovely landscaping, and there is so much to do, you'll have a hard time deciding: a game of tennis, swimming in the seasonal pool, soaking in the hot tub, playing billiards at the clubhouse, taking on the parcourse, or hiking and biking on the trails right at Carnelian Woods!

In Carnelian Bay, all of north Lake Tahoe is right at your doorstep! There are two wonderful beaches and you're only 10-12 miles from three great ski resortsā€”Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Northstar.

To experience Lake Tahoe gambling and nightlife, Nevada's historic casino Crystal Bay is down the road four miles, and Incline Village, also just across the Nevada state line, is only about eight miles away. Closer to home, you'll find superb dining options right in town like Gar Woods Grill and Pier for steaks and fish, the Old Post Office Coffee Shop for hearty breakfasts, and CB's Pizza for hand-tossed pies and beer.

The mountain view from the balcony was gorgeous! The on-site lodge was spotless and had plenty of things to do including a library. The pool and hot tub were great but it would have been nice to have a few pool/beach towels. The beach is a short drive away. Loads of hiking trails nearby.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was decent. They have a great deal of paperwork they request you fill out beyond the VRBO app. The pool was closed. The pool and clubhouse are very far from the room, you are required to drive there to use amenities, not walking distance. Other than those issues the accommodation was fair.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A friend an I rented this for a few days of hiking. Overall, the rental process was very professional and buttoned up. The house was fine ( Do NOT stay there if you have mobility issues; the 2nd bedroom is reached from a very steep set of stairs.) However, the condo is in need of an update, and we experienced several small but irritating problems, including burned out light bulbs and jammed drawers. The management company was quick to come when we called, but couldnā€™t fix at least one problem, as they didnā€™t have the right bulb (I presume). We stayed at a time when the pool and spa werenā€™t open to guests; it would be a better value when they are available.

Welcome to the Lake!

Our first visit to Tahoe. The Carnelian an Woods condo suited us perfectly! We were able to make this our home base and enjoyed different adventures every day. We also enjoyed morning coffee on our balcony with a view. We hope to be back some day, thanks again!!

If you are looking for entertainment and shopping this is NOT the place for you because there is none of this in Carnelian Bay, so that was a little disappointing. Ski townhome

We had a lovely stay at this Carnelian Bay townhome. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, oils and cooking utensils. The location was easy to navigate to and from to the various ski resorts around. The only thing that was not accurate on the listing was the hot tub is only open on the weekends. This was a major bummer for us since every ski trip we like to go in the hot tub after we ski yet it was closed Monday - Thursday and the recreational center employee said it was because it was too expensive to operate. Besides that we had a great stay.

Quiet area of Carnelian Bay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My condo rental was a good experience. First Accommodations was very responsive on my E-mails. First night I was awakened by a bear going through the areas trash bin and in the morning after a long 10 hour drive the day before to get to Lake Tahoe I was also awakened by the next unit having their carpet cleaned at 8:00AM in the morning so other than that the condo was in a very quiet area of the complex. It was very easy to get to Tahoe City or Kings Beach. Condo had all the items needed in the kitchen for cooking and the bed was comfortable. The condo was a bit dated with the furniture, appliances and design.
