Well-maintained Victorian Home in the center of Rock Hall.
The recently renovated Apartment on first floor of this historical home offers a unique and comfortable experience. Spacious and like-new open living room. Nice eat-in kitchen.
The bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed. A living room pull-out queen sofa accommodates 2 more people. Maximum number of guests is 4 people. 1 and 1/2 baths. Easy exit out front door or rear door. Shared the comfy and wide front porch overlooking Main Street.
All linens are supplied. Kitchen is well outfitted. WiFi internet and cable are included.
The prime location of this first floor Apartment allows you to walk to shops and restaurants in town. The Chesapeake Bay, Rock Hall Beach, and the harbor are also within walking distance. Great boating and water activities are all close by.
Historic Chestertown is just a 20 minute drive. Sit on the huge wrap-around porch and watch all the activities on Main Street or bike through town to Eastern Neck Island Refuge. Boaters, hunters, fishermen, birdwatchers, families and friends and more are welcome!

If you're looking for nice quiet place sit back and relax this is the place the house is awesome the AC was great town it has all the items you would need walking distance and the best part is the small private beach down the road

Very comfortable and a great location. We’ve stayed at multiple places in Rock Hall, and this one is our favorite. Love the front porch.

The property is quaint, clean, a good representation of the period. The location is good, a coffee shop and a fresh fruit/vegetable market across the street. Will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay

The apartment was spacious and clean and even better than the photos. Both Mary and Patty responded quickly to questions and were very helpful. The location is perfect and the front porch is certainly an added bonus. We will most certainly be back!!

Good location, loved having a full kitchen

The down stairs of this house was available to me: a living room with pull out couch, large bedroom, full kitchen and 1.5 baths. I was there for the Rock Hall Triathlon weekend. Being able to prepare my own food was a real benefit. It was very comfortable and convenient.

We had an overall good experience here. Great location...walk to anywhere. Coffee shop right across the street (Java Rock) & a very good restaurant (The Pearl on Main) 1/2 block away.....Our one main complaint was the bed! OMG it came over on the Mayflower...hard as rock and squeaked at the slightest move...My wife and I could not wait to get home to our "home bed"....It would be hard to believe we were the only ones to complain...it was that bad

Rock Hall Weekend

Location was directly on the main street. That was nice. No local info left for guest. It would have been nice to get the local scoop of where to eat or hours of the town, etc. If you want the wi-fi info it's in the hallway on a piece of paper. They ask that you take a picture of it to use. Not so clean. Mold in the shower and on the shower mat. So that definitely hadn't been cleaned. Coffee machines hadn't been dusted. Fridge shelves were dirty. When I pulled back blanket there was hair there, so I am not certain if that was cleaned. Also had a smell as if someone sprayed something to cover up the smell/dampness. The pictures of the rooms differ than what is there. Pictures are nicer. Porch - would have been nice if it the furniture was cleaned to sit on. Don't leave the lights on at night. I was sent a text to let me know that the lights should be shut, that in the middle of the night police came because they saw lights on. When I asked why would they come if the lights were on,I was told because there have been break ins. This was a first floor apartment. I then checked all the windows in every room to find that NONE of them were locked. So if there have been break ins, you don't keep the windows locked? Then we were told to lock the first front door when coming and going. I did, but every time I went to leave the door was unlocked. I am sorry that I am not leaving a wonderful review, but I think that the owners should reevaluate this property & cleaning person.

Great Get-Away

First time visitors to Rock Hall, and we found this home a perfect location to enjoy our long weekend. By chance, we met the owners, who were very welcoming, and also "Patty," our contact who went out of her way to make sure we knew where everything was, where to find the best food, and where to catch the best music. The "homey" house had everything we needed and was very comfortable! We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful historic home on Main Street

We spent the weekend in Rock Hall for the triathlon, and this apartment was perfect for us. Our favorite spot was the front porch, where we enjoyed most of our spare time. We have stayed at many different vacation rental properties in Rock Hall over the years, and we would love to stay at the “Mermaid” again.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. The location provides walking access to the shops in Rock Hall and a few minute drive to the restaurants and beaches. The apartment is lovely. Large, comfortable, quiet - perfect!
