Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Mosquitoes and No-seeums are often found later in the day at beaches, in the evening during sunset, or late night on the way home from a dinner. In an effort to make our guest comfortable and give them the best possible experience, the management company of the villa has a 3-point check system in place. The villa is cleaned and prepared by our highly skilled and thorough housekeeping staff, our Maintenance team checks for any issues, (mosquitoes too) and our greeter (when requested) will meet the guests from the ferry and take them to the unit. I can assure you that during those checks our team is extremely aware and on the lookout for mosquitoes. With regard to the air conditioning units, we spoke with our HVAC specialist on St. John and were assured there were no way for mosquitoes to be in the units as the units are running continuously with proper drainage and airflow. The units are regularly cleaned and serviced too. We will be having our team head back to the villa to reassess the situation and double check. Thank you for staying at Villa Cielo Mar. The primary bedroom furniture and mattress are brand new, high quality and have been well received by other guests. This is the first time it has been brought to our attention.
