ROMANTIC COUPLES ESCAPE

Our cabin is not a place to stay while you are on vacation... our cabin is the vacation. You can come and enjoy the surrounding areas if you want, but you can also just come and spend the entire time away from the outside world. It is a quiet, peaceful, romantic place to just unwind.

Are you looking for a cozy, and quiet get-away spot to rest and relax? Our little TranquiliTree Cabin is the perfect spot! Located up on a bluff, between Prairie Du Chien, WI and Ferryville, WI, this little A- frame cabin gets you within 5 minutes from the river but allows you to be tucked back away in a quiet wooded area. (Please note that there is about a mile of gravel that is maintained in order to get to the cabin. The driveway itself is blacktopped.) It is 900 square feet of pure relaxation and nature! Enjoy your morning coffee in the outdoor room while you watch the deer and birds, relax by the fire pit, and at night cozy up to the wood burning stove and the views of the trees. The loft has a king sized bed. The living room has a couch that does lift up into a full sized bed and there is an ottoman that pulls out into a single cot.

We have been visiting the area for years either with a camper or tent. So, booking this rental was a treat. And it did not disappoint. What a clean, well stocked, and spot on properly. I own 3 VRBO'S myself and kmow what it takes to make it a great getaway. These folks know exactly what it takes for their guests to enjoy the best stay ever. We loved it here and hope to come back again!!! If you're looking for a great getaway in the area, then We highly recommend this beautiful place. No sense looking any further, this is the place you're looking for. Thanks again for the hospitality. We loved it here!!!

We had a peaceful trip. Just what we needed. A quiet get away from everyday hustle. Loved the cozy environment. Saw some deer and wild turkeys.

It was extremely quiet. Even though there are houses and cabins all atound with people in them, we barely heard a sound from people or cars. Inside was very user friendly.. had almost everything we needed for condiments and stuff in kitchen. Love the layout and open loft. Only saw 3 squirrels from the cabin. Not even a bird perched in a tree. The view of the ravine below might open up when the leaves are gone. All i could see was trees. Nothing can be perfect for everbody. All in all we had a great time. Enjoyed a couple nice fires. Watched a football game in the woods. Grilled a couple fat steaks right on the deck. Playing clue was time consuming and fun. Highly recomend if youre not planning to walk around property (as terrain is very steep) or expect a view. It is a beautiful quiet place to stay

Beautiful place to get away from it all and sit back and enjoy everything you run out of. Time and Relax. Check in was easy. Kitchen was perfect to make a great meal and after all sitting outside and enjoying what nature has to offer made it just right. Definitely will be back just to unwind and relax

Had an amazing time. Property was clean, beautiful, quiet and private. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. Bed was comfortable and slept like a baby. Owners were fantastic and communicative. Would highly recommend.

Perfect place to relax

We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway to relax and we found it. The cabin was quiet and secluded, surrounded by trees and wildlife. We spent most of the weekend sitting in the screened-in porch and enjoying the breeze. The cabin itself was clean and well-stocked with all we needed. The owners left coffee and even a bottle of wine for our anniversary. We will definitely be back.

Another Lovely Stay!

Spring at this cabin is so lovely especially if you enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, a star filled sky above a campfire and a cozy cabin to relax in on rainy days. The owners were incredibly accommodating and had thought of everything to make our stay easy and memorable. We look forward to returning in the future!

Upper Mississippi River and Indian mounds

The cabin was conveniently located and allowed us ready access for hiking along the high bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River particularly in areas with effigy/burial mounds. In addition, we were entertained by the bird life. A barred owl vocalized nearby the cabin on successive nights and gave us a good look on one occasion. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Kevin and Heidi have been high school sweethearts and have been married for 20years. Heidi grew up in Decorah, Iowa and Kevin in Ossian, Iowa. We live with our family of 6 in Ossian, Iowa. Our oldest four children (William, Dawn, Sami, and Anita) came to us via foster care. We opened our homes and our hearts and we were blessed to welcome them into our family. Then came our son Trevin also via a foster care placement and finally came our youngest Ella. Kevin hauls mail for the US Postal Service and Heidi works as an elementary school social worker. Our family is a super busy family and decided that we need a quiet and relaxing place to go as a family and as a couple.
