Welcome to 5 O'Clock Somewhere, where it truly feels like 5 o'clock for your entire vacation! This beautifully updated, four bedroom house is positioned comfortably on the white, sandy beaches of Dauphin Island, so beach and ocean views are something you will enjoy every day. Enjoy the spacious, fully-equipped kitchen perfect for whipping up a home cooked meal with plenty of seating for dining with the family. Whether you're relaxing inside and enjoying the cable TV and complimentary internet access, or catching some sun on the nearby beach, you are certain to enjoy your time here!

What's nearby:
Situated right on the beach, you only have to walk down the steps to put your toes in the sand at the water's edge. There are beach rentals available all over the island including bicycles, paddleboards, jet skis, and more. This rental is just minutes from popular seafood restaurants, shops, mini-golf courses, historic Ft. Gaines, a local estuarium the kids are sure to enjoy, and an amazing bird sanctuary. Alternatively, you can hop on the ferry across the bay to visit Ft. Morgan and Gulf Shores for an exciting day out.

Had family pictures and the home did not have an iron and ironing board lien stated and no stores were open near the island so I had to cancel the pictures we had scheduled.

We loved our stay so much. Perfect home. A couple of things; the outlet where the microwave is located doesn’t work. The water in the kitchen wouldn’t get hot, and there are some outlets that don’t work in the east side of the house bedrooms. Will def rent again!!!

Love This Fantastic Beach House!

Great location with gulf beach right off of the HUGE back deck, quality rental home and furnishings, well stocked kitchen. New bath linens and nice washer and dryer. Great for families and "girls getaway trip". Have stayed here 3 times in 2023 and 2024 and hope to again for many years to come!

Amazing beach house

This was our second time to stay at this beach house and we loved it! The location on the beach is perfect. The layout is just right for our family. It was clean and very well stocked. Hope to stay again.

The house was perfect. The beach and the patio were great. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Beds and sofas were very clean and comfortable. Overall we had an excellent weekend in this home. Would definitely book again and recommend it.

5 O’clock Somewhere … Amazing!!

Loved everything about the house. House was set up perfectly, plenty of towels, extra blankets, small beach chairs for the beach, deck furniture was great (plenty of seating to enjoy the sun), grill, swing, plenty of seating in the living room, and well stocked!! House was very clean and totally recommend!! Only worry was internet was very weak difficult to stream Netflix, etc. however covered by Dish Network for tv time.

Great House and Location!

Beautiful place, newly updated with nice furniture and two seating arrangements in the great room, plus a well stocked kitchen! Love the wrap around deck - it's huge in the back with lots of comfortable chairs. Vacasa contacts were very responsive to answer questions. Have been going to Dauphin Island since 2015 and stayed in several places - this is my favorite house by far, and I've already booked it for 2024.

Beautiful house!!

This is our first time staying on Dauphin Island. We will definitely be back to stay at this house. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were super comfortable. The view from the back deck was breathtaking. We watched the sunrise every morning and sun set every afternoon. We loved that we could walk down the stairs and be a couple of steps from the ocean. This house is by far the best place we have ever stayed at.

Nice place

It is so nice to walk down the steps and on to the beach and water in just a few steps. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. I hope to stay here again.

Great house.

Clean and pretty. Steps from beach. Beds and pillows comfy. No plastic ware for kids plates or cups. No step stool for kids to reach sinks. No beach supplies. No hair dryer. Great house. Will stay, again, but come more prepared.

Perfect beach house

Great views, sooo close to the ocean, and awesome lounge area on the back porch. We also made good use underneath the house for beach chairs, tents, toys, etc if a storm was rolling in. Living room was very spacious and extra large TV for nighttime movies. Kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, and dishes for cooking, plus the gas pit on the back porch is excellent quality. We had fun watching dolphins off the coast on several occasions. Beds were very comfortable and had quality mattresses. Double AC units helped keep the house cool at all times. Our group included 3 toddlers and 5 adults, and it was the perfect size for our group. Can't wait to go back!

Best Location Ever!

First, so disappointed in Vacasa. I downloaded the ap, emailed them 3x regarding - does the house have a pack n play, beach chairs, kids sand toys and EZ Up. I received no response, so I called. The representative read the online amenities (I already did that, alot of times the houses have these things but are not listed) So I was told they did not have these items. They did not have a Pack n Play, but did have EZ up (6 of them), pleanty of sand toys and amazing beach chairs. This would have saved a lot of space when packing. Second, we arrived and found 2 beach towels only for 9 people. The online amenities stated they provided beach towels. I called Vacasa and they said they do not provide towels for the beach. I asked them to look on the site. The rep said she would call the local manager and see what could be done. A lady brought beach towels and stated that she was not housekeeping and should not have to be delivering these, and they do NOT provide beach towels. She stated she was a manager and this was not her job. Kind of a rough start. Vacasa you can do better. Now the Good Stuff!! This house is amazing. Our favorite place was the deck on the back. It is half covered so provided shelter from the sun and there was always a breeze and beautiful sunsets. We ate every meal on the deck. It is also a great place to watch kids play in the sand, read a book in the shade or sit in one of 6 lounge chairs in the sun. The location on the beach of this house is sooo convenient. You are literally on the water. No hauling beach toys and chairs. You are right there. You can get a break under an EZ Up or just sit under the house and enjoy the breeze. The outdoor shower was so convenient. The layout is perfect for a large group. There are 2 sitting areas for people to spread out and read or nap while others watch TV. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of pots and pans to cook for a large group. All appliances worked great. As others have stated, do your grocery shopping before you arrive (the store on the island has limited items) We cooked all but 1 meal due to having small kids. The washer and dryer were so helpful in keeping towels clean and dry. I would highly recommend this house and would love to return. Dauphin Island is a great family vacation spot with white sand and clean water. I recommend the visiting the aquarium.

Great family Getaway!

Loved everything about this property! Great layout for families and right on the beach—doesn’t get better than that. Watched marine life from the amazing deck. Get instructions for how to access the TV (our only issue) and you will love every moment at this property!

We always run the vacuum before we leave but neither vac in the closet seem to work very well, we have always done this over the years at the beach homes we stayed at. Other than that everything was great!

Perfect for family

The house fits the description perfectly. Our family - with 3 small children, 2 adults, and the grandparents- thought the house was perfect. We prefer to cook and eat at the house primarily. The kitchen had everything that we needed. All the appliances worked great. This was our first time to Dauphin Island and we loved how friendly everyone was. We didn’t have to contact the property manager for any reason. The only concern would be if you were handicapped or can’t handle a lot of steps- though all houses in this location have steps up to the house. We went first of April… not super warm but still very enjoyable!

Spacious, relaxing home

Very spacious and clean home. We loved our stay here even though the weather didn’t cooperate on all days of our stay. This house has everything you need if you’re stuck inside!! Another wonderful Vacasa property!!
