Loved the property and proximity to stores/restaurants on the island! The fact that it sits right on the gulf was the cherry on top! The back deck overlooking the gulf was our favorite hang out spot in the house. We were able to see multiple dolphins, stingrays and even a small shark or two in the water!! Would 100% stay here again!!!

Beautiful place literally on the water. Wake up and watch the dolphins swimming by. Communication was excellent from booking to checkout. We would definitely come back to this rental. Thank you DIBR!

We had a great time! The place was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space for 4 adults, 2 kids and dogs. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable. My kids enjoyed having TV’s in their rooms for the first time Internet was stable and fast. A suggestion would be to add blinds to the back door. The house behind this was very close and they could see right into this house. The views were amazing while sitting on the deck. We walked maybe 1/4mile to the west end beach to watch the sunset which was beautiful! The beach was clean.The host was very responsive and great if we had any questions. Sadly our vacation was cut short due to a hurricane but the host was very informative on the evacuation process.We cannot wait to come back again.

It’s great to hear the kids loved having TVs in their rooms and that you enjoyed the deck views and sunsets on the West End beach. We appreciate your suggestion about adding blinds to the back door for more privacy, and we’ve shared it with the owner. I enjoyed my stay here. I really felt like I got away from it all in this house, ocean was right there. I had an older friend with me who has mobility issues and for somebody like that,I don’t think this is the best place to stay. The beach house was clean. Communication was good there was an issue checking in which was resolved immediately. Hauling stuff up the stairs is one disadvantage- may benefit from having a motorized exterior lift that I saw on other houses. It would certainly cut out the hassle of lifting everything up.

We have stayed here twice and we really love it ! You cannot beat the view ! Kat was super helpful with any questions or concerns we had and made the stay that much better !

Fall getaway, rest & relaxation

We have been enjoying Dauphin Island, for the last 4 years. And never disappointed, It is a great place. The accommodations are very good.

Excellent stay

This was the perfect location. The ocean comes right up to the house, and there is still plenty of space for the kids to play on the beach!

Keywester is in a perfect location. I hope the kids were able to see the dolphins when they were playing on the beach. It is one thing the children love about Dauphin Island. Thank you for choosing DIBR

Dauphin Island Trip

House was nice. Location was great. Excellent restaurants to choose from. Several options of things to do. Deck over looking the Gulf was a great spot to read, relax, and enjoy the sounds of the water. Very relaxing getaway.

Excellent Location and View

We had an absolute blast. The home was perfect and the view was amazing. We joined a few Facebook groups ahead of time for ideas on place to eat and things to do.

Our vaca was perfect and it couldn't have been that way without this home. It was clean, had everything we needed and was right on the water.

Beautiful, well-appoonted beach house.

This home has an amazing view and spacious rooms. Situayed between "town" and the bublic beach, it is perfect for families. This house is pracrically IN the ocean so you can hear the waves wven with the doors and windows closed, and the hime itself provides shade for beach time play in the sand. Numerous shells to be found just outside the door!

Not being able to part at house was only issue. Having to carry everything so far and then up stairs was ruff. Everything else was perfect

It would be nice if there was a boardwalk from the parking area to the property. It’s hard taking luggage and other provisions through sand dunes. Also other properties we have stayed at include dish detergent, hand soap in kitchen and bathrooms, tissues and some spices including salt and pepper. The house was very nice but the return air vent in the living room was filthy. The porch lights on the back deck were out.

Our team is currently working with the Town to address the parking conditions and dune access near the home, and we will also share your suggestion regarding a boardwalk with the owner for consideration. Each property does include a starter kit with items such as dish detergent, hand soap, and a few basic necessities to help guests get settled, though we understand how additional supplies can be helpful. We are also very sorry to hear about the condition of the return air vent and the porch lights. This feedback has been shared with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure our quality standards are met moving forward. This Home is Exactly What We Were Looking For!

This was our first trip to Dauphin Island and our vacation home was perfect! We spent every morning on the deck over the Gulf, went surf fishing right in front of the property, and the kids had a great time shelling every morning. The beds were comfortable. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. Things were very tidy upon arrival. We appreciated the hose at the top of the deck to wash off some of the beach sand, rather than track it inside. It was all and all a great stay and we will definitely book again!

Hidden gem

We were looking for a quiet place to go and unwind from the craziness of the city . We usually go to florida but found dauphin island and decided to give it a try . We were in for a surprise ! This home is so quaint and beautiful! It’s right on the water so you can hear the waves come in . The view is spectacular . The sunsets make you never want to go home . This house has everything you need . The island is a small Island so grocery shopping is something you want to do before you come . Other then that everything was perfect ! We will be back !

Excellent Location

Excellent location..Beautiful Views. But.. We went on a mini trip for our anniversary. I didnt think I would have to clean on arrival. Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Utensil draw had dirty silverware in it. Counters were sticky and there was spilled coffee down the cabinets. The only things left for guests to use is toilet paper and laundry tablets and dishwasher tablets. Make sure u bring all condiments(salt/pepper ect) For the price I suppose i was expecting it to be clean..

Gerald, I am so sorry you had issues with the cleaning. We appreciate you bringing those concerns to our attention. You definitely should not have to clean up upon arrival. I have sent you an email so I could get more information regarding the issues. Since Covid, we have not left condiments due to the concerns. I apologize! Nice place right on the beach

Our family loved the location and the house fit our needs perfectly. The maintenance and housekeeping are lacking though. Towels were put away wet under the sink. Many lights were burnt out or not working. Some of the decking up front wasn’t very safe. The master drapery smelled of dog urine so bad I couldn’t even sleep in there. I don’t think the floors were cleaned prior to our stay. Sticky in spots and sandy before we even walked in. My overall rating was a 4 only because of those issues. It’s a little of Heaven on Earth if you stay there.
