Welcome to our beautiful OCEANVIEW Kamaole Sands 2-206. This fully remodeled 1-bedroom 2-bathroom vacation rental condo is located sunny South Kihei, across the street from Kamaole 3 Beach Park.

Kamaole Sands 2-206 is set back from the road, making it quiet and private with a spacious open feel. It comfortably sleeps up to four guests. This spacious condo is 818 square feet, with beautiful tile plank flooring throughout.

Unlike most owners at the Kamaole Sands, we live in Kihei and we carefully inspect the condo for cleaning and tackle any maintenance needs between each booking. You may contact us directly instead of dealing with a busy rental agency!

Cara was great to deal with, easy communication. The condo was super clean, very well appointed. Really appreciated all the healthy cookware & vitamix, to name just a couple. King bed super comfy too!! Highly recommend!!

Our overall experience was a 10! From the host to the amenities. Remodeled with the kitchen well stocked with everything you would need to cook, etc. Love the location as it is on the 2nd floor and has a beautiful view of the landscaped grounds and a little bit of the ocean. The unit was well stocked with towels and linens and loved having the washer/dryer. The location was right across from the beach and easy to walk to stores/restaurants. We will go back again! Loved it!

Beautifully Updated Condo

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo. It’s beautifully updated and the new AC is an added bonus. The location is perfect being across from the beach and within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops. Cara was quick to respond and assisted with additional baby equipment rentals. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location and wonderful hosts!

Had a great time here. There is an elevator and the walk to the beach and pool/hot tub is very short and can be done with no stairs. Really a wonderful location when traveling with someone disabled, my mama really appreciated! The condo was beautiful, clean, communication wonderful and prompt. No complaints!

Wonderful vacation

A beautiful condo in a great location. Access to beach and restaurants is fantastic and the grounds have a resort-like feel. Beautiful! We can’t think of a single thing to change. My adult son found the sofa bed very comfortable, and the second bathroom and washer/dryer were nice to have. There were also some nice extras provided, like beach chairs, boogie boards, etc, and some snacks on arrival. Highly recommend to anyone!

One of the best at Kamaole Sands

We had a wonderful stay in Maui and enjoyed Cara and Sig's Kamaole Sands condo. Their condo was exactly as listed; very clean and maintained! We got the opportunity to meet both Cara and Sig which they are both are very kind and friendly. My family has stayed at Kamaole Sands four different times and each time we stay at a different condo because we haven't found one we feel completely comfortable in. This condo exceeded all of our expectations! We enjoyed this condo and the communication with Cara so much that we went ahead and booked it again for next year!

Awesome!!

I traveled to Maui with my 2 young sons and and we all LOVED this place! Cara was super helpful with all details and the apartment was super clean, modern, and well equipped in a perfect location in Maui. The complex was super kid friendly with tons of green space that we enjoyed in the evenings and of course the pool. There were so many other families so my kids made some new friends here and there. Everything else about the place was fantastic and it was walkable to beaches and food options. I will likely be back and this will be my first option in Maui.

Best vacation of my life!

The property is excellent! it is immaculate and convenient to everything. We had lots of room, and having 2 bathrooms was a special treat. I loved having a washer and dryer too! There are books to read and take to the beach, beach chairs/umbrella, cooler, and all the little kitchen stuff you need (she even left us snacks). It was like staying at your “best friends” beach condo, that just happens to be in Maui :)..so welcoming and cozy. I loved sitting on the lanai in the morning, and seeing the ocean to my right, and the mountains to my left. The parking space is numbered, and just a few steps to the condo, so you never have to search for a place to park, even when you come in late at night. We visited beautiful beaches every day-my favorite was Polo Beach, the sunsets are dreamy. We enjoyed dinner at a different place every nite. Mama’s fish house is a must..and that little beach, by her restaurant, is like something out of a storybook. Thanks for sharing your rental with us. It was the best vacation of my life!

We had a nice stay here. The host was responsive - we had no issues during our stay that needed any host assistance but if we did, I am sure there'd be a quick response and action taken. The unit very clean, very well stocked and maintained. Due to one of us being sick, I ended up sleeping on the pull-out bed for the week with one of my kids and it was comfortable. We didn't use the A/C except for in the master bedroom a couple of times to cool down the room - the windows in the living room open at night with the ceiling fan on were enough to keep everything comfortable for us. The unit really had everything we needed for the week, and I would definitely stay in this unit again!The only item to note for sensitive smell people (it wouldn't prevent me from staying there again as this is pretty common in a tropical setting) is that when it's really damp outside (we were there when it was raining for a few days in a row) the entry-side of the unit smells a bit damp and musty. It wasn't noticeable in the other side of the unit, so more where the airflow is more limited by nature of the layout. We left the bathroom fans on throughout the day during this time, made sure the ceiling fans were on and fresh air available when we were in the unit, and once the sunshine came out, the smell went away. Again, it wouldn't affect my choice to stay there again but is worth noting.Thanks for a great stay!

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay! Being local owners, we take pride in checking the condo, and taking care of maintenance issues as soon as we find out. We will look into the report of a musty smell when it rains. I suspect it may come from the landscaping just outside the condo, but will ask maintenance to look into it further. Rain is a rarity in Kihei (avg rainfall 8-11 inches/year), so this does not happen often.

Maui Wowie!

It had been far too long since we visited this island and we had never stayed in south Maui. If it's beaches you want, this is the place. This Kamaole Sands condo makes life so easy, you won't want to leave. Lovely in every way, not one problem. We'll be back!

Immaculate and great location. Caro responded very quickly to all our inquiries which made our stay very enjoyable. The location is fantastic with the beach and turtles across the street and close to so many restaurants. We will be back!

This is an amazing condo! Enough room, fully stocked kitchen, great beach access as well as tons of shops and places to eat nearby. Will stay here again! Communication with the host was incredibly quick and they were very responsive!

Lovely condo

We had an amazing time in this condo! Great location, pretty grounds, nice pool, close to beaches. It is close to some good restaurants, shave ice, coffee. The condo was spotless. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. We enjoyed reserving the picnic areas near our building. The owners are responsive and knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely return!

Kamole Sands Paradise

The unit is exactly like the listing pictures, its beautiful, nicely laid out and has extremely comfortable furniture including the bed. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need. The unit has quality bedding, bath and beach towels which were really nice. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee and meals on the lanai. The views from the lanai are spectacular. The bbqs are conveniently located and cleaned daily. The parking is very close to the unit and there is an elevator which helps with luggage and groceries. The Kamole III beach is just a 5 min walk and many other great beaches are just a short drive away. The owners, Cara and Sig were quick to respond to any questions and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely rent this unit again. Thanks for a fantastic vacation.

Classy Condo

We have traveled every January to Maui for the past 5 years ( but COVID grounded us for 2 years). My travel club condo was booked all of January and since my wife and I are fully vaccinated we were desperate wanting to get back to traveling. This is my first time using Vrbo so I didn’t know what to expect. The pictures of the condo we picked Kamaole Sands looked good but you never know until you get there. Well, the condo exceeded our expectations, beautifully decorated with modern appliances and even a big screen TV in the bedroom. The view from our balcony was exceptional with both the resort and ocean. Though I had to spend much more than my club’s condo which was only 2 blocks away, I felt it was worth the additional expense. We had 14 days of perfect weather and experienced one of the best vacations we have had in years.

Beyond Amazing!! Book it while you can, I promise you won't regret it!!

My husband and I go to Maui every year and have stayed in a number of Kihei VRBO's including a couple at Kamaole Sands. This is by far the best out there. Cara has been absolutely amazing from day one. We had originally booked 2 years ago but had to postpone twice due to Covid. Let me tell you, Cara's communications and flexibility in accommodating our reservation movement was beyond 5 star. We honestly could not have asked for better hosts. We had a really hard time leaving this beautiful home after 2 weeks. We did not lack for anything while we there, this condo is so well appointed. From kitchen spices, beautiful appliances, dishwasher/washer/dryer soap and detergents that we didn't need to replenish. Boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs, cooler etc. and of course the list goes on. I don't give out 5 star reviews or any positive reviews if it wasn't deserved. We have a vacation rental of our own on a local mountain here in Vancouver so we know how important it is to have the highest of customer service, a well appointed condo and of course location is a bonus. This condo has it all. If we didn't already have a standing reservation for years to come than I would have a hard time providing such an amazing review as I might never get a chance to stay there again after this review. LOL. Cara also has an awesome blog and was so amazing in ensuring we had all the updated communications on what was happening with Maui's Covid regulations. She supplied us with links to sites we should visit for information as well as updated us on car rental options when the costs were rising so we didn't risk on spending more than we should. There has never been a vacation rental that we have been too (and we have stayed in a number around the world) that we rebook for the following year. If you are lucky enough to get a chance to stay in this condo, I would ensure you book as far in advance as you can for a repeat visit, you stand the chance of not being able to return. That would be such a loss. I'm so very grateful for such amazing hospitality!! We plan on at least a 2 week trip every year for as long as they will have us!! Aloha! We are former West Coast dairy farmers who vacationed annually in sunny Kihei (South Maui) from 2004-2009. In 2010 we sold the farm and immigrated to Hawaii. We invested in four vacation rental condos that first year and have been vacation renting on Maui ever since.

Cara grew up in Austria and is passionate about baked goods and coffee. She left her budding big-city career in 2001 to join Sig on his dairy farm along the West Coast. She is your main point of contact through the booking process, researching your stay (ask about her blog for trip ideas!) and communicating throughout your stay.

Sig grew up on the West Coast with a passion for dairy-farming. To this date he subscribes to dairy publications and enjoys going to trade shows, keeping up with advancements in the dairy industry. For many years our farm had one of the top-producing dairy herds in Western Canada working in close partnership with our animal nutritionist and veterinarian (no rBST). He brings his attention to detail and perfectionism to the condos and handles most of our maintenance needs (and all those remodels we’ve done over the years). He checks our condos prior to every check-in, ensuring they are in top condition from both a cleaning and maintenance standpoint.
