Beautiful charming country house in traditional Menorcan style next to the natural park of s'Albufera d'es Grau. Unique and privileged enclave. From the house, the beaches of San Luis in the South or Fornells are a 15 minute drive. A five minute drive from Mahon airport seven.
Ideal for quiet holiday with access to road horses.
Both for families and groups of friends. The pool is fenced and offers complete safety with young children. The layout of the rooms with direct access to each of them from the outside allows complete independence, if more heterogeneous groups. It has tourist license because it was a rural hotel some years ago. The guest house consisting of three bedrooms en suite, two of them have a mezzanine with possibility for another bed is rented. Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable en Mahón y queremos agradecer a Maïté por su hospitalidad. Los anfitriones fueron muy amables y siempre accesibles. Hicieron todo lo posible para que nuestra estancia transcurriera de forma fluida y cómoda, lo cual apreciamos mucho.El espacio exterior del alojamiento fue realmente maravilloso: un jardín bonito y bien cuidado, una piscina muy agradable y terrazas amplias donde pudimos disfrutar plenamente del aire libre. Sin duda, uno de los puntos fuertes del lugar.Las habitaciones eran suficientemente cómodas, aunque por la noche podía hacer algo de calor sin aire acondicionado. No fue un gran problema, pero es algo a tener en cuenta en los días más calurosos.El único punto negativo fue el estado de la cocina. Aunque había un lavavajillas, el horno nos pareció poco seguro y los armarios de cocina eran tan antiguos que la vajilla tenía un olor desagradable a madera vieja. Creemos que una renovación de la cocina mejoraría considerablemente la experiencia para futuros huéspedes.En general, fue una estancia muy agradable en un entorno encantador, gracias a la cálida bienvenida y los fantásticos espacios exteriores. ¡Gracias, Maïté!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour ! Quelle découverte Minorque ! Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Maite, très bon contact. Nous avons adoré le calme de la maison, sa piscine, ses terrasses et ce jardin luxuriant…un vrai bonheur!

Traumurlaub im Traumhaus in zauberhafter Umgebung

Wir waren 3 Wochen in diesem bezaubernden Anwesen zu Gast und haben jede Minute genossen. Die Außenanlagen sind sensationell und hervorragend gepflegt. Ein perfektes Ambiente, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Der Pool ist groß, man kann richtig schwimmen. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und jedes hat ein eigenes Bad. Die Küche ist klein, aber mit den wichtigsten Sachen ausreichend bestückt. Gastgeberin Maite ist sehr nett, sehr hilfsbereit und zuverlässig, antwortet schnell und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Diese Unterkunft ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Dream Holiday

We've spent an unforgettable weekend in this very welcoming cottage located next door to the Albufera Park. The property is set in a very peaceful area, just 15 minutes drive from Mahon. It's close not only to this town but also to many beautiful beaches. The cottage has everything you might need: 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms each with a bathroom with shower, a kitchen fully equipped and a dining area ; there's also a very pretty outdoor area where you can just lounge and chill, but also eat meals alfresco, and a very nice and large swimming pool. The check in process was smooth, and the property was in spotless condition. ALL in all a wonderful experience!

Incredible location of charming house

We spent a long weekend in September in this lovely country house in Menorca. After the first contact the owner sent us all kinds of very practical information about the house and the island. The location of the house in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle, but close to all kinds of facilities, the friendliness of the owner and the house itself allowed us to spend a few days of perfect rest. The rooms are simple, but very well equipped taking care of every last detail. It has three bedrooms en suite with their corresponding bathrooms. Cleaning more than correct. The outside is wonderful with several stunning terraces, garden, big BBQ-area and a pool. The weather was great and we could enjoy the beautiful pool and the beaches. Even better than in high summer when there is much more people than now. We will try to return for sure.

Außen Hui -- innen na ja bis pfui !! Insgesamt nicht so hochwertig wie der Preis vermuten lässt

Wir empfehlen den Aufenthalt mit maximal 4 Erwachsenen + 2 Kinder !! Zwei unterschiedlich hohe Kinderbetten mit sehr weicher, durchgelegener Matratze stehen im kleinen Zimmer. Die Federkern Matratzen sind in allen Zimmern durchgelegen und zu klein. Kein erholsamer Schlaf möglich. Bilder sind sehr gut fotografiert und suggerieren insgesamt einen hochwertigeren Eindruck als man tatsächlich vorfindet! Der Innenbereich macht einen schmuddeligen Eindruck. Toiletten stinken. Ziemlich kleine und ganz schlecht ausgestattete Küche - kein scharfes Messer, die haben wir dann selbst gekauft, außerdem stinkende Küchenschränke... man erwartet für den Preis einfach keine Kompromisse. 4 Windräder sind zu sehen und zu hören!! Die Außenanlage ist schön und großzügig, allerdings gibt es keine bequeme Sitzmöglichkeit. Der große Grill und Außenbereich und die abgeschiedene Lage haben uns dennoch gefallen und gut getan. Die Haushälterin, ist eine nette und hilfsbereite Frau.

Hallo Burhan, es tut mir leid, dass es solche Missverständnisse gab. Die Zimmer sind alle gleich gross, was die Fläche angeht. Die Bettenausstattung ist in der Anzeige beschrieben und ich hatte Ihnen vor der Reservierung nochmal eine genauere Beschreibung geschickt. Wir haben kein Interesse, dass unsere Gäste den Urlaub nicht geniessen und deshalb geben Fotos und Beschreibung die Realität wieder. Ich versuche immer, alles sehr genau und präzise zu erklären. Ich hatte Ihnen auch angeboten, die Betten von dem Mezzanino zu benutzen, was Sie schließlich gemacht haben. Das Haus war sauber, der Geruch kommt daher, dass Menorca sehr feucht ist und die traditionelle Bauweise keine Isolierungen vorsieht. Wenn man so etwas vermeiden will, sollte man ein modernes Appartement in der Stadt buchen und nicht ein Landhaus neben einem Naturschutzgebiet. Ich werde es in der Anzeige notieren, so dass es in Zukunft keine Missverständnisse gibt. Es tut mir leid, dass Sie den Urlaub nicht 100% geniessen konnten. Ich hoffe sehr, dass Sie sich trotzdem erholen konnten.

Wonderful rustic accommodation in a Menorca countryside setting.

Beautiful accommodation, located remotely down a private unmade gravel track. A hire car is essential (as is insurance that covers tyres!) as Taxi drivers have problems locating the villa and this could leave you stranded. However, once you arrive you feel like you are deep in the countryside. The accommodation used to be a country hotel and is now a family home which is kept private. You have access to three separate rustic, clean, ensuite rooms at the back of the house, with a communal dinning room and a kitchen. (No lounge/sitting room) Thick white walls help keep the heat out as there is no Air con but there are good powerful wall fans in the bedrooms. (An extra free standing fan and another wall fan in the communal dining room would have been a nice touch though). There are mosquito netting over the beds and at the open windows (however, some for over an open door would have been great, especially on a hot night) Each room has a good sized comfy bed and a bathroom with a powerful shower. (For the price however, we were disappointed that one of the bathrooms had a broken toilet seat but this was our only real grumble). The kitchen is small but has plenty of appliances and utensils for your stay. There is also a good sized bbq area with an out side refrigerator and pizza oven. Plenty of shaded covered seating areas, tables, sun loungers, a hammock and a rope swing to choose from. There is very little mobile phone network but you do get WiFi included in the stay. Refreshingly there is NO TV or DVD so bring your own entertainment. The property is situated in stunning countryside and boasts plenty of land to explore. There is a good sized beautiful outside pool with an outside shower but, unfortunately because of the time of year, we did have to share it with wasps during the midday sun. Our host Maite, was very pleasant and communicated with us via email and was quick to answer any queries we had. All in all, we had a wonderful time in this little piece of paradise and would not hesitate to book again.

Ein schönes erholsames Urlaubsdomizil

Unweit des Flughafens, ohne erwähnenswerte Berinträchtigungen durch Fluglärm, und des schönen Hafens von Mahon versteckt sich die Finca Tamaris in der herrlichen Natur von Menorca. Aufgeteilt in drei Schlafräume jeweils mit eigenem Zugang und eigenem Bad sowie einer Küche, mit einem beeindruckenden Garten, einem großzügigen Pool sowie einer tollen Außenküche ein Domizil, das einen die Hektik des Alltags schnell vergessen lässt. Notwendige Einkäufe kann man zügig im schönen und nahen Mahon erledigen und erreicht auch schnell verschiedene Restaurants. Auch die zahlreichen traumhaften Strände sind nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. Maite ist eine großartige Vermieterin, die sehr schnell erreichbar ist und bei allen Anfragen immer gerne zur Verfügung steht. Etwas beschwerlich ist die Zufahrt zur Finca, die nicht für alle Autos geeignet ist, genügend Bodenfreiheit sollte vorhanden sein; also besser auf das schicke Cabrio verzichten und einen robusteren Wagen wählen. Um die Wasserqualität zu erhalten ist der Pool recht stark gechlort, was unsere Badesachen verfärbt hat, aber auch hier hat uns Maite mit Tips geholfen. Wir hatten eine phantastische und erholsame Zeit und danken Maite auch noch einmal für Ihr Unterstützung!

Restful holiday

The guest house is as depicted in the photos, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the quiet, rural atmosphere and found everything we needed there. The host was extremely helpful and quickly answered any questions we had. She also gave us lots of useful tips (car rental, etc), which were very helpful. The only disappointment was that a neighbouring house owner has blocked the direct access across his land to the sea. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful holiday!
