General description This property, dating from 1845 and completely renovated in 2012, is located in the interior of the island of Gran Canaria, in the municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana. It is comprised of two completely independent houses one from the other, a century-old house and a rural porch with more than 100 years old, in addition to having parking and swimming pool completely private. The caves of the Guanches shelter it from any hint of civilization. It is the perfect place for those who love silence.
One of the main attractions of this beautiful place are the contrasts of the vegetation and the arid zones it contains. The olive tree is characteristic of the farm to which the house belongs, and the nearest town, Santa Lucia, is located 5 kilometers away. This picturesque town of Gran
Canaria has artisans dedicated to various disciplines (ceramics, looms, palm ...) and an agricultural market every Sunday of the week, being able to acquire fresh products directly from those who work the land. In addition to the countless birds that fly over the area with their peculiar songs, the Tirajana basin, to the southwest of the island, provides a bright sun almost all year round.
How to move
The means of transport recommended to access the house and to move from it to other places on the island is the car.
Mainly, because there is no means of public transport that can make the journey between the nearest town (Santa Lucia de Tirajana) and the house itself. In addition, the property has a completely private parking to park the vehicle that is rented.
Due to the situation of the house, right in the center of Gran Canaria, there is the possibility of combining the more mountain activities with those that are more typical of the coast. Me sorprende tu comentario.
Usted se aloja en un sitio y no le comenta al propietario nada hasta que se va? Le gusta pasarlo mal durante la estancia pudiendo solucionarle el problema el primer día ?
Existe lavadora y si la cocina perdía agua, que estuvo 2 semana poniendo un caldero debajo del fregadero?
Tan fácil como comentar las cosas el primer día y se le soluciona cualquier problema que tuviera en el alojamiento.
Para la próxima , le recomiendo que si va a alguna casa y no encuentra lo que necesite no dude en ponerse en contacto con el propietario desde el minuto 1 para que le solucione cualquier inconveniente.

On arrival there was no confirmation of how to enter the peoperty or a email from them explianing how to get in. The email given does not work.
When we areived there was infact someone there cleaning and he asked us to come back at 2pm as he had not finished cleaning. That was fine.
The villa itself initially looked lovely, but then you see the plug hanging off the wall and just run down areas everywere.
Wiifii was intermittent
Garden area could of been amazing but it desperatly needs some TLC and fixing up, the fake grass is jist laid onto p of the ground which resulted in us relaying it daily due to rhe wind
Theres rubbish and wood left around.
It is a beautiful location and has potential to be amazing if they actually put some time into the upkeep of the property.
We had a lovely peaceful stay until the last night, there was a party in the villa next door that had music on until atleast 1am. Really loud that you cpukd here it full volume with our windows and shutteds closed.

Très agreable sejour
Belle maison pour 2 personnes au calme, à découvrir par une route quelquefois un peux endroite. Nous avons eu un très agreable séjour avec des fascilités pas trop loin. Le restaurant Casa Antonio à Santa Lucia est superbe!

Splendid house in the mountains
The house in which we stayed for a week is very beautiful, its location in the mountains offers a wonderful view of the valley. Very quiet, it offers all the necessary comfort: a large bed, kitchen equipment to the height, TV, CD player, wifi connection, everything is there. We especially appreciated the friendliness and discretion of the owner. Very good. Thanks Octavio.

Perfect Place to Relax
The casita we stayed in for a week, was very beautiful and a perfect getaway in the mountains. Stunning view over the countryside with only chickens as neighbours. We enjoyed the terrace and also the barbeque grill. The bed was very comfy and huge, which was great ! The house was clean and provided everything you could need for cooking and feeling at home. Perfect wifi connection as well. only tiny downside is the bumby curvy rocky road you have to take to get to the house, but it´s a small price to pay to have the amazing view and privacy !Great experience ! Thanks Octavio!

Beautiful spot "at the end of the world"
We, a family of 3 with a little girl of 5 (Dutch/French), had a very nice week in Finca Mariola the second week of april. We loved the house in the typical Canarian style and the gorgeous views down the valley and to the rough mountain ridge, far away from the mass tourism.
Nice furniture and bedding, all in style and clean.The small swimming pool was unfortunately too cold, so sun heaters we highly recommend, as there is plenty of sunshine. The sun beds with mattrasses in the garden are great. The parasol does not work well as it is not heavy enough to cope with the strong winds. It often came down. Shadow you can find though of the little trees behind. Every morning we were happy with the fresh eggs from our chickens. However, beware of the cats who like to sneek into the house! Our daughter could still fit in the baby bed, which she liked. However, for a child a bit older, it would be nice to have an extra bed or the couch converted into a bed. For three persons, the kitchen equipement is not sufficient. Extra plates, mugs and bowls are needed. We refurnished a bit the kitchen as the removal of the microwave from the table. What we miss is a small wardrobe to hang the clothes, or, perhaps better as space is limited, a coat rack on/next to the door with cloths hangers.
The house is difficult to reach and is not signposted. Especially the last part is rough as it is a very small steep windy track. It is faster to walk to San Bartolomé (just follow the water pipe after the second rental house and continue on the road, follow the marks from there) than taking the car....
We recommend the small etnographic museum in San Bartolomé; the nice keeper runs here the tourist office as well and can give you detailed walking information, also by using Google Earth. Within some years a walking route will be opened to visit the numerous caves in the mountain behind the house. It is not possible now due to overgrown vegetation and steepness. We had great hikes from the Rother walking guide: 37 (round of San Bartolomé-Degollada de Manzanilla-Cruz Grande-St. Jacobsway), 39 Santa Lucia-La Fortaleza-La Sorrueda-El Ingenio); 7: Cruz Grande - Pico de la Nieves.

Eine sehr schöne, ruhige Ferienwohnung - A wonderful place to relax and go hiking
Das Häuschen in den Bergen ist wunderschön, ruhig gelegen und hat eine tolle Aussicht, die Ausstattung ist gut und modern, und es gibt sogar Hühner, die jeden Morgen frische Eier legen! Der Vermieter Octavio ist sehr nett und immer um Verbesserungen bemüht. Von hier aus kann man auch schöne Wanderungen unternehmen.
Das Haus von Octavio ist wunderschön gelegen, schon der Weg ein kleines Abenteuer. Es ist vor allem nicht so wahllos eingerichtet wie viele andere - und man wird von der Sonne geweckt. Der Vermieter selbst ist auch extrem unkompliziert. Alles in allem: sehr empfehlenswert.

I really recommended this place
A wonderfull place to spend a relaxing weekend by yourself or in company. It is a great house which has everything needed. Very clean and comfortable. I really recommend this place. Octavio is also a very good host, friendly and spekas very good English.

Perfecto lugar de vacaciones...
Sitio estupendo para poder descansar, y disfrutar de unas vistas estupendas. Sin duda he pasado junto a mi marido unos días estupendos. La casa esta limpia y teniamos acceso a los accesorios necesarios para estar a gusto. Sin duda volveremos otra vez! El dueño es un chico muy amable.
