Private Hilltop House on Caddo Lake
Located just 30 minutes north of downtown Shreveport/Bossier, this private house on Caddo Lake is the perfect vacation destination. This beautifully renovated house boasts a master bedroom with a king-size bed and luxurious full bathroom just off the living room/kitchen combination. The living room includes a fully reclining leather love seat facing the wood-burning fireplace. The fully stocked kitchen has beautiful granite countertops and all new appliances. Double sliding patio doors lead to the wrap-around screen porch with a panoramic view of the lake. With approximately 1,000 feet of lake frontage, you will be secluded from neighbors on the gorgeous 45-acre property.

• Gated entrance with keypad entrance
• DirecTV satellite television with movie channels
• High-speed satellite internet
• Good cell phone service for AT&T and Verizon (unknown for other carriers)
• Washer & dryer
• Kitchen Appliances: Range/oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, hand mixer

• Wood burning fireplace during winter months only

• Bring your own boat! This property has a private boat launch for smaller boats and a pier for fishing

We just LOVED Our Stay here!!!!! It is Sooooo Beautiful & the Hosts are just Simply Marvelous!!! It is obvious that they have worked hard to make this a Nice Place & they have succeeded with leaps and bounds!!! The View is beyond words especially in the mornings watching the sunrise!!! But also watching it set in the evenings was pretty spectacular!!! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away from it all & have a relaxing time with No Neighbors!!! Very Rare to find!!! Close enough to towns if you need anything or to Shreveport for places to eat or go do something… But the seclusion is what sold it for us!!! And watching the folks floating by fishing was also a joy & made me Smile!!!

Secluded Getaway

The family and I really enjoyed this home. We were there for Christmas three nights and it was perfect. It has plenty of room for the eight of us and is close to Shreveport. I loved the wrap around porch and the modern construction. Your secluded and right on the lake. We would stay there again and again.

Amazing Getaway

This house on the lake is PERFECT for a family getaway. We took the canoe out and caught a few fish off the pier. The house is sparkling clean and the owner was extremely helpful. Can’t wait to book again when the water warms up!

Relaxing weekend!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful private location! The home and porches were fantastic! So private,and gorgeous lake frontage! We enjoyed using the canoes on this beautiful lake! We will definitely be back! Pictures can’t do this place justice! Wonderful host too!

Our family of four enjoyed a peaceful week in this cozy home! The house is clean, comfortable, and well stocked. It has been nicely updated, and we appreciated the screened in porches. The surroundings are beautiful, and we enjoyed the canoes on the lake daily. We look forward to coming back!

Beautiful family getaway!

My husband and I, our son, daughter and daughter-in- law all enjoyed a 3 night stay in this beautiful lake house. The view is spectacular! The wrap around porch is a wonderful place for sitting, visiting and taking in the scenery. Everyone really enjoyed using the canoes. The house is clean, well stocked and beautiful! Will definitely return!!

Peaceful retreat

I highly recommend this place if you desire a tranquil getaway without neighbors above you. The house appeared to have been recently renovated and was remarkably clean and cozy. Carl, the host, possesses a fantastic property on Caddo Lake, and I am certain to make another reservation when I have the opportunity to extend my stay.

Beautiful house and the scenery was inspiring

The house was amazing no detail was left untouched. It offered everything we could ask for and the scenery was so peaceful and calming. The house is isolated amongst trees and lakefront. It makes you feel like you are far away from everything so you can relax. The beds were very comfortable. I have nothing but positive happy thoughts about this stay. We will be back for sure!

Heavenly House on Hilltop

We spent our weekend at this property- very well kept, great views from inside the house overlooking the lake. We along with our little daughter had fun running around on the wide, open slopes, swinging on the beautiful swing and sitting by the lake while taking in the views. Even though the weather turned out to be rainy and chilly, being able to view the lake was very satisfying. Trey was very hospitable. He made sure we were well taken care of. Absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in this beautiful getaway.

Great Stay and very clean property

The house was very clean, the cleanest VRBO rental home I've ever stayed in. The space was very comfortable for our family. Communication with the home owner was prompt. It had a great view from the house of the lake. The house was only 30 minutes to Caddo Lake State park and Jefferson Texas. The only complaint I have, is that I wish the Teflon on the pots wasn't so scratched and worn off. When my family plans a trip, we often do a lot of cooking at the rental to save money and I had a really hard time using the pots because I felt like they were a health risk. All of the other amenities and the availability of items was amazing. Games for the kids, towels, canoes, grill, life jackets, dvd player and movies for the kids.

Thank you for your review! We work hard to ensure our guests enjoy their stay. The pots and pans are less than a year old, but I guess they did not live up to their warranty. We have replaced the pots and pans with a new set. If any guest has concerns during their stay, please let us know and we will address immediately!

Ah-mazing!!!

The property was above and beyond our expectations! Extremely private! The house is impeccable! There owners were extremely thoughtful! The house has all the comforts any home should have! Beds were super comfy and clean! Not to mention the house was decorated beautifully and mindfully! We enjoyed it so much! Moving on to the outside. The view of the lake is breath taking and so serene. We loved sitting on the swing sipping tea with an incredible view of the lake. We were able to go canoeing right from the dock in front of the property, were you can paddle to some picture perfect Natural back drops, with Lilly pads and cypress trees. The next day we also caught fish off the dock and had it for dinner. We were able to enjoy some Cajun food in Shreveport (30 mins) from the lake house! It was a nice change from food we eat in Texas! Also took kids to Gator and Friends for some quality time with Kangaroos and llamas and all kinds of other 4 legged animals! We even saw gators get fed! The kids were so happy! This was such a beautiful stay! You can’t go wrong! I recommend it for anyone!!

Fabulous rental with water view

This is a nicely updated rental with a good layout for families. Main bedroom suite and great room on main floor with two more large bedrooms and bath upstairs. The screened-in porch and lake access is great. We went out in a canoe and it was a great area to paddle around.

Great second stay at this house!

Spent the Thanksgiving holiday on out second stay at this house (first one was October 2020). Very comfortable living spaces, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Other pluses are the screened patio, the firepit and the two available canoes. Beautiful view to the lake and smooth paddling. House was great for 4 adults and two children. Highly recommend!

Very clean

The house was very clean. There are no extra sheets or blankets. Very little extra toilet paper, trash bags or paper towels. Only dishes in the kitchen are breakable. I only mention this because if traveling with children this is helpful to know. The house in general is kid friendly and very comfortable!

Thank you for staying at our property. This is our first four-star review, and we are somewhat disappointed in the comments. We typically do not provide extra bedding for air mattresses unless requested by our guests. We provide adequate toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags according to the maximum number of six guests and the number of nights booked. If you need anything extra, we are just a short text or phone call away! Please don't wait until you leave to bring your concerns to our attention! We will always do our best to make your stay enjoyable.
