3 minutes off Exit 175... The Intersection of I-40, Route 66 and The Turquoise Trail (N-14). Nestled on the meadow below the cliffs in Quiet Historic Tijeras Village Canyon. (NOTE: Trailers and Moving Trucks and Combinations Thereof Do NOT Fit Through the Sunny Mellow Eco Villa Gate! Call or Text for Details of Possible Workarounds)

Walk the Villa pathways to the other four Rentals, and along the way see The Vineyard, The Orchard, The Garden, The Redwood Yoga Deck, The Solar Array, The Swing, Ping Pong, Horse shoe Pit. Above the property is Lookout ridge (Now on private property, but you can see where Billy the Kid posted Lookouts for Stagecoach on Route 66, while his gang camped right here on Sunny Mellow Eco Villa).

8 Minutes to Albuquerque. 7 minutes to Cedar Crest, 10 minutes to Edgewood. 50 minutes to Santa Fe.

After a long drive, this fits the bill for an over night stay. Fresh air and nature. We slept in a comfy room with a view of the night sky. The outdoor bathroom is a very close walk and is lit at night. Robbie, our host was very nice and accommodating.
Beautiful trails in a private area.
This is a nice private area with mountain views.
Very cozy and comfortable.
You can see the night sky from your bed.

A lovely stay! Friendly and welcoming host. We loved relaxing in all the outdoor areas, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, and cleaning up in the outdoor shower! Lots of love went into this property and it was something to enjoy :)

The scenery, terrain, outdoor shower and peaceful ambience of nature was just what the doctor ordered for a reset. Thank you guys for providing a long lasting memory for years to come. My partner and I stayed here during a roadtrip and it was the highlight of our trip so far! The property was gorgeous and so whimsical. The yurt was a great down to earth experience while also being incredibly comfortable. The hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome, thank you again!! :)

Awesome stay!

We absoleutely loved our stay in the yoga yurta! It was super comfortable, clean, and we loved the decor for it too. Gregory is such a nice host and immediately made us feel right at home. I highly recommend staying here and can guarantee that you will love it as well :)

Perfect Getaway

This property was AMAZING! Hands down one of the most unique property stays. The yurt exceeded our expectations. It's located on a quiet property tucked away from town. Usually my husband and I struggle to sleep well away from our own home, but we slept like babies! The room was nice and cool, the bed was like a cloud and we fell asleep looking through the skylight at the stars above! We will definitely be coming back when we have several days to stay.

Great stop for a short stay (and a longer one!)

This place was awesome, the open air shower, bathroom and kitchen were awesome! The bed was so comfortable and the facility was really clean. Wish I could have stayed longer but I plan to come back with the family. Thanks Sunny Mellow EV!

We really enjoyed staying here and hope to come back someday! We are from CO and used this as our overnight stay when going to the Balloon Fiesta and it was great. Easy to find, bed is SOOO comfortable, safe and away from the city. Loved it.

The Sunny Mellow Eco Villa Story...

The serendipity of Sunny Mellow began with the name... Our daughter Elliott Marie penned a fantasy story in the 4th grade. In checking it for errors, I noticed the name of her Fictional Fantasy Land was "Sunny Mellow".

We had just purchased the first half of the property when I asked her if we could use her Sunny Mellow Name for our new home. "Sure Daddy" she replied. "It will help keep our home safe and alway happy and fun", she continued. "There are not many places were the Sun rises in the East end a canyon and sets in the West", she said with thought, with her lifted eyebrows! "And she continued, "We need a name that makes everyone smile"! "Oh Daddy". Elliott whispered now... "I Love My Sunny Bedroom at Sunny Mellow"!

Standing in the horse stable on our first day here, I thought, "Don't want horses, what to do with this structure"? I woke the next morning with the answer from a dream... A guesthouse! In 4 months we had remodeled the horse stable using stable wood into a one bedroom fully equipped small home! We used it for guests and as Robbie's art studio until that day when a friend suggested I list it for short term rental.

I laughed and did so. I pressed the button to list it and bing! Rented immediately... And continuously every since.

We purchased the second half of the property and on it built a second and third house for rentals... And The Chi-Treehouse! Being the success and great fun that it became, we finally built The Yoga Yurta as icing on the cake of our Sunny Mellow Eco Villa Empire, LOL! The Garden, Vineyard, Orchard and all the paths the link everything together just came along in time. Solar power is a passion and fun to tinker with. Yoga on the Expansive Redwood Yoga deck is a outright pleasure and Ping Pong under the stars a hoot!

Come join us and our full time tenants in all the fun!
